4 Then the Word of the LORD came to me, saying,
5 “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. And before you came out of the womb, I sanctified you and ordained you to be a Prophet to the nations.”
6 Then I said, “Oh, LORD God. Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a child.”
7 But the LORD said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am a child’. For you shall go to all that I shall send you. And whatever I Command you, you shall speak.
8 “Do not be afraid of their faces. For I am with you, to deliver you,” said the LORD.
9 Then the LORD stretched out His Hand and touched my mouth. And the LORD said to me, “Behold, I have put My Words in your mouth.
10 “Behold, this day I have set you over the nations, and over the kingdoms, to pluck up, and to root out, and to destroy, and throw down, to build, and to plant.”
71 In You, O LORD, I trust. Let me never be ashamed.
2 Rescue me and deliver me in Your righteousness. Incline Your ear to me and save me.
3 Be my Strong Rock, whereto I may always resort. You have given Commandment to save me; for You are my Rock, and my Fortress.
4 Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the evil and cruel man.
5 For You are my Hope, O LORD God; my Trust from my youth.
6 I have been upheld by You from the womb. You are He Who took me out of my mother’s core. My praise shall be of You always.
13 Though I speak with the tongues of man and angels, and do not have love, I am as sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
2 And though I may have the gift of prophecy, and know all secrets and all knowledge; indeed, if I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and do not have love, I am nothing.
3 And though I feed the poor with all my goods, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not love, it profits me nothing.
4 Love is patient. Love is kind. Love does not envy. Love does not boast and is not puffed up,
5 It is not rude. It is not selfish. It is not provoked to anger. It thinks no evil:
6 It does not rejoice in injustice but rejoices in the truth.
7 It bears all things: It believes all things. It hopes all things. It endures all things.
8 Love never fails; even though prophecies are ended, languages cease, and knowledge fades away.
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when That which is perfect comes, then that which is in part shall be abolished.
11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child. I understood as a child. I thought as a child. But when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass darkly. But then shall we see face to face. Now I know in part. But then shall I know just as I also am known.
13 And yet remain faith, hope, love; these three. But the greatest of these is love.
21 Then He began to say to them, “This day is the Scripture fulfilled in your ears.”
22 And all bore Him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth, and said, “Is not this Joseph’s son?”
23 Then He said to them, “You will surely say to me this proverb, ‘Physician, heal Yourself. Whatever we have heard was done in Capernaum, do it here also in Your own country.’”
24 And He said, “Truly I say to you, no Prophet is accepted in his own country.
25 “But I tell you the truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when Heaven was shut three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land.
26 “But to none of them was Elijah sent, except to a certain widow in Zarephath, of Sidon.
27 “Also, many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the Prophet. Yet none of them was made clean, except Naaman the Syrian.”
28 When all those in the synagogue heard that, they were filled with wrath,
29 and rose up, and thrust Him out of the city, and led him to the edge of the hill whereupon their city was built, to cast Him over.
30 But He passed through the midst of them, and went His way,
