Version
Psalm 36:5-10

Your mercy, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, and Your faithfulness to the clouds.

Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains. Your judgments are like a great deep. You, LORD, save man and beast.

How excellent is Your mercy, O God! Therefore, the children of men trust under the shadow of Your wings.

They shall be satisfied with the fatness of Your House; and You shall give them drink out of the river of Your pleasures.

For with You is the well of life; and in Your Light shall we see light.

10 Extend Your lovingkindness to those who know You, and Your righteousness to those who are upright in heart.

Jeremiah 3:19-25

19 “But I said, ‘How did I take you for children, and give you a pleasant land, the glorious heritage of the armies of the heathen?’ And I said, ‘You shall call Me, “My Father”, and shall not turn from Me.’

20 “But as a woman rebels against her husband, so have you rebelled against Me, O House of Israel,” says the LORD.

21 A voice was heard upon the high places, weeping and supplications of the children of Israel. For they have perverted their way, forgotten the LORD their God.

22 “O you disobedient children! Return and I will heal your rebellions.” “Behold, we come to You! For You are the LORD our God.

23 “Truly the hope of the hills is but vain, and the multitude of mountains. But in the LORD our God is the health of Israel.

24 “For confusion has devoured our father’s labor from our youth, their sheep and their bullocks, their sons and their daughters.

25 “We lie down in our confusion, and our shame covers us. For we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers from our youth, even to this day. And we have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.”

1 Corinthians 7:1-7

Now, concerning the things about which you wrote to me, it is good for a man not to touch a woman.

Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have a wife for himself, and let every woman have her own husband.

Let the husband give to the wife her due affection, and likewise also the wife to the husband.

The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband. And likewise, also the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife.

Do not deprive one another, unless with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer. And come together again, so that Satan does not tempt you for your intemperance.

Yet, I speak this by permission, not by Commandment.

For I would that all were still as I myself. But everyone has his proper gift from God, one after this manner, and another after that.
