Revised Common Lectionary (Complementary)
62 “For Zion’s sake, I will not be silent. And for Jerusalem’s sake, I will not rest, until their righteousness breaks forth as the light, their salvation as a burning lamp.”
2 And the Gentiles shall see your righteousness, and all kings your glory. And you shall be called by a new name which the Mouth of the LORD shall name.
3 You shall also be a crown of glory in the Hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the Hand of your God.
4 No more shall it be said to you, “Forsaken.” Nor shall it be said anymore to your land, “Desolate.” But you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah. For the LORD delights in you; and your land shall have a husband.
5 For as a young man marries a virgin, so shall your sons marry you. And as a bridegroom is glad of the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you.
5 Your mercy, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, and Your faithfulness to the clouds.
6 Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains. Your judgments are like a great deep. You, LORD, save man and beast.
7 How excellent is Your mercy, O God! Therefore, the children of men trust under the shadow of Your wings.
8 They shall be satisfied with the fatness of Your House; and You shall give them drink out of the river of Your pleasures.
9 For with You is the well of life; and in Your Light shall we see light.
10 Extend Your lovingkindness to those who know You, and Your righteousness to those who are upright in heart.
12 Now, concerning spiritual things, brothers, I would not have you ignorant.
2 You know that you were Gentiles, and were carried away to the dumb idols, as you were led.
3 Therefore, I declare to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed. Also, no one can say that Jesus is the Lord, except by the Holy Ghost.
4 Now, there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 And there are diversities of services, but the same Lord.
6 And there are diversities of operations, but God is the same Who works all in all.
7 Yet the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each, for the profit of all.
8 For by the Spirit, the Word of wisdom is given to one; and to another, the Word of knowledge, by the same Spirit;
9 and to another, faith, by the same Spirit; and to another, the gifts of healing, by the same Spirit;
10 and to another, the operations of miracles; and to another, prophecy; and to another, the discerning of spirits; and to another, diversities of tongues; and to another, the interpretation of tongues.
11 Yet, in all these things works one and the same Spirit, distributing to everyone personally, as He will.
2 And on the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee. And the mother of Jesus was there.
2 And Jesus was also invited, with His disciples, to the marriage.
3 And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.”
4 And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what is that to us? My hour has not yet come.”
5 His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”
6 Now there were set there, six water pots of stone, for the purifying of the Jews, containing 20 to 30 gallons apiece.
7 And Jesus said to them, “Fill the water pots with water.” Then they filled them up to the brim.
8 Then He said to them, “Draw from them now, and take it to the master of the feast.” So, they brought it.
9 Now when the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, (for he knew not from where it came; but the servants who drew the water knew) the master of the feast called the bridegroom,
10 and said to him, “All men at the beginning set out good wine; and when all have drunk freely, then that which is worse. But you have withheld the good wine until now!”
11 Jesus did this beginning of miracles in Cana of Galilee and showed forth His Glory. And His disciples believed in Him.
