And when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away.
and when the sun was risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
But when the sun rose, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
But when the sun rose, they were scorched, and because they had no root, they dried up and withered away.
And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
But when the sun came up, it was scorched, and since it had no root, it withered away.
But when the sun came up, it scorched the plants, and they dried up because they had no roots.
but when the sun had risen, the young plants were scorched; and since their roots were not deep, they dried up.
But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched and dried up, because they did not have deep roots.
but when the sun rose they were burned up, and because of not having [any] root were dried up;
But the sun having risen, they were scorched. And because of not having a root, they were dried-up.
And when the sun was up they were scorched: and because they had not root, they withered away.
But when the sun rose, it burned the plants. The plants died because they did not have deep roots.
But when the sun rose, it burned the young plants. They soon died because they had not grown down well into the soil.
But when the sun rose, the seed was scorched. Because it had no root, it withered away.
but when the sun rose they were scorched. And since they had no root, they withered away.
but when the sun rose they were scorched. And since they had no root, they withered away.
But when the sun rose, the plants ·dried up [were scorched and withered], because they did not have deep roots.
And when the sun was up, they were parched, and for lack of rooting withered away.
But when the sun came up, they were scorched. They withered because their roots weren’t deep enough.
But when the sun came up, it burned the young plants; and because the roots had not grown deep enough, the plants soon dried up.
But when the sun came up they were scorched, and since they had no root, they withered.
But when the sun rose, the plants dried up because they did not have deep roots.
But when the sun came up, they were scorched. Since they did not have any roots, they dried up.
It was on the same day that Jesus went out of the house and sat down by the lake-side. Such great crowds collected round him that he went aboard a small boat and sat down while all the people stood on the beach. He told them a great deal in parables, and began: “There was once a man who went out to sow. In his sowing some of the seeds fell by the road-side and the birds swooped down and gobbled them up. Some fell on stony patches where they had very little soil. They sprang up quickly in the shallow soil, but when the sun came up they were scorched by the heat and withered away because they had no roots. Some seeds fell among thorn-bushes and the thorns grew up and choked the life out of them. But some fell on good soil and produced a crop—some a hundred times what had been sown, some sixty and some thirty times. The man who has ears should use them!”
and when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
and when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
But when the sun had risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
But when the sun rose it was scorched, and because it did not have enough root, it withered.
but the hot sun soon scorched them and they withered and died, for they had so little root.
At about that same time Jesus left the house and sat on the beach. In no time at all a crowd gathered along the shoreline, forcing him to get into a boat. Using the boat as a pulpit, he addressed his congregation, telling stories. “What do you make of this? A farmer planted seed. As he scattered the seed, some of it fell on the road, and birds ate it. Some fell in the gravel; it sprouted quickly but didn’t put down roots, so when the sun came up it withered just as quickly. Some fell in the weeds; as it came up, it was strangled by the weeds. Some fell on good earth, and produced a harvest beyond his wildest dreams.
But when the sun rose, they were scorched. And because they did not take root, they withered away.
But when the sun came up it was scorched; and because · it had no root, it withered away.
But when the sun came up, they were scorched. They withered because their roots weren’t deep enough.
and when the sun rose it was scorched, and it withered for lack of roots.
But after the sun rose, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
But when the sun had risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
but when the sun rose they were scorched, and since they lacked roots, they withered away.
But when the sun rose, the plants dried up, because they did not have deep roots.
But when the sun came up, they were scorched, and because they did not have sufficient root, they withered.
When the sun came up, it burned the plants. They dried up because they had no roots.
But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.
But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.
But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away.
When the sun was high in the sky, they dried up and died because they had no root.
But the plants soon wilted under the hot sun, and since they didn’t have deep roots, they died.
and when the sun was up, it caught heat, and for lack of rooting withered away.
But when the sun rose, they were scorched; and since they had no root, they withered away.
But when the sun rose, they were scorched; and since they had no root, they withered away.
But when the sun rose, they were scorched; and since they had no root, they withered away.
But when the sun rose, they were scorched, and since they had no root, they withered away.
But when the sun was high it got scorched, and it withered because it didn’t have any root.
And when the shemesh (sun) arose, the zera (seed) was scorched, and because it did not have a root, it withered.
“But when the sun came up, they were burnt up; and for lack of rooting, withered away.
but when the sun rose they were scorched; and since they had no root they withered away.
but when the sun rose they were scorched; and since they had no root they withered away.
But when the sun came up, they were scorched; and because they had no roots, they withered away.
without rooting themselves in the shallow soil. Their roots got tangled up in all the stones. The sun scorched these seeds, and they died.
When the sun had risen, they were scorched. Because they had no root, they withered away.
When the sun began to shine, it was too hot for the new plants. They died because they had no roots.
But when the sun was risen, they parched [they sweltered, or burned for heat], and for they had not root, they dried up.
and the sun having risen they were scorched, and through not having root, they withered,
