“Salt is good; but if the salt have lost his savor, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
Salt therefore is good: but if even the salt have lost its savor, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
“Therefore, salt is good; but if salt has become tasteless, with what will it be seasoned?
Salt is good [an excellent thing], but if salt has lost its strength and has become saltless (insipid, flat), how shall its saltness be restored?
Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
“Now, salt is good, but if salt should lose its taste, how will it be made salty?
“Salt is good. But if salt loses its flavor, how will it become salty again?
Salt is excellent. But if even the salt becomes tasteless, what can be used to season it?
Salt is good, but if it no longer tastes like salt, how can it be made to taste salty again?
Salt [then] [is] good, but if the salt also has become savourless, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
Therefore, salt is good. But if indeed the salt should become-tasteless, with what will it be seasoned?
Salt is good. But if the salt shall lose its savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
“Salt is a good thing. But if the salt loses its salty taste, you can’t make it salty again.
Remember this. Salt is good. But if it is not salty any more, it is no longer any good. You cannot make it salty again.

“Salt is a very good thing, but if salt loses its flavour, what can you use to restore it? It is no good for the ground and no good as manure. People just throw it away. Every man who has ears should use them!”

Don’t be like salt that has lost its taste. How can its saltiness be restored? Flavorless salt is absolutely worthless.
Salt is good, but if the salt becomes flat and tasteless, with what do you season it?
