John 3:27
John answered and said, “A man can receive nothing, unless it be given him from Heaven.
John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it have been given him from heaven.
John replied, “A man can receive nothing [he can claim nothing at all] unless it has been granted to him from heaven [for there is no other source than the sovereign will of God].
John answered, A man can receive nothing [he can claim nothing, he can take unto himself nothing] except as it has been granted to him from heaven. [A man must be content to receive the gift which is given him from heaven; there is no other source.]
John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
John replied, “No one can receive anything unless it is given from heaven.
Yochanan answered, “No one can receive anything unless it has been given to him from Heaven.
John replied: No one can do anything unless God in heaven allows it.
John answered and said, A man can receive nothing unless it be given him out of heaven.
John responded and said “A person cannot receive even one thing unless it has been given to him from heaven.
John answered, and said: A man cannot receive any thing, unless it be given him from heaven.
John answered, “A person can receive only what God gives.
John answered, “A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven.
John answered, “A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven.
John answered, “A ·man [person] can get only what ·God gives him [L is given to him from heaven].
John answered, and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
John answered, “People can’t receive anything unless it has been given to them from heaven.
John answered, “No one can have anything unless God gives it.
John responded, “No one can receive a single thing unless it’s given to him from heaven.
John answered, “A man can get only what God gives him.
John replied, “No one can receive anything unless it has been given to them from heaven.
“A man can receive nothing at all,” replied John, “unless it is given him from Heaven. You yourselves can witness that I said, ‘I am not Christ but I have been sent as his forerunner.’ It is the bridegroom who possesses the bride, yet the bridegroom’s friend who merely stands and listens to him can be overjoyed to hear the bridegroom’s voice. That is why my happiness is now complete. He must grow greater and greater and I less and less.
John answered and said, A man can receive nothing except it is given him from the heaven.

John answered and said, “A man can receive not one thing unless it is granted to him from heaven!
John replied, “God in heaven appoints each man’s work.
John answered, “It’s not possible for a person to succeed—I’m talking about eternal success—without heaven’s help. You yourselves were there when I made it public that I was not the Messiah but simply the one sent ahead of him to get things ready. The one who gets the bride is, by definition, the bridegroom. And the bridegroom’s friend, his ‘best man’—that’s me—in place at his side where he can hear every word, is genuinely happy. How could he be jealous when he knows that the wedding is finished and the marriage is off to a good start?
John answered, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven.

In reply, Yochanan said, A man is not able to receive anything, unless it has been given to him from Shomayim.
