1 Corinthians 13:3
Print
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
And if I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profiteth me nothing.
If I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it does me no good at all.
Even if I dole out all that I have [to the poor in providing] food, and if I surrender my body to be burned or in order that I may glory, but have not love (God’s love in me), I gain nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
And if I give away all my possessions, and if I give over my body in order to boast but do not have love, I gain nothing.
If I give away everything that I have and hand over my own body to feel good about what I’ve done but I don’t have love, I receive no benefit whatsoever.
I may give away everything that I own, I may even hand over my body to be burned; but if I lack love, I gain nothing.
What if I gave away all that I owned and let myself be burned alive? I would gain nothing, unless I loved others.
And if I shall dole out all my goods in food, and if I deliver up my body that I may be burned, but have not love, I profit nothing.
And if I dole-out all my possessions, and if I hand-over my body so that I may boast, but I do not have love, I am profited nothing.
And if I should distribute all my goods to feed the poor, and if I should deliver my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
I may give away everything I have to help others, and I may even give my body as an offering to be burned. But I gain nothing by doing all this if I don’t have love.
I may give all my things to help poor people. I may let other people take my body to burn it. But that would not help me if I do not love others.
If I give away everything I own, and if I give up my body that I may be burned but do not have love, I gain nothing.
If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
I may give away everything I have, and I may even give my body ·as an offering to be burned [L to be burned]. But I gain nothing if I do not have love.
And though I feed the poor with all my goods, and though I give my body, that I be burned, and have not love, it profiteth me nothing.
I may even give away all that I have and give up my body to be burned. But if I don’t have love, none of these things will help me.
I may give away everything I have, and even give up my body to be burned—but if I have no love, this does me no good.
And if I donate all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body in order to boast but do not have love, I gain nothing.
I may give everything I have to feed the poor. And I may even give my body as an offering to be burned. But I gain nothing by doing these things if I do not have love.
Even if I give away everything that I have and sacrifice myself, but have no love, I gain nothing.
If I speak with the eloquence of men and of angels, but have no love, I become no more than blaring brass or crashing cymbal. If I have the gift of foretelling the future and hold in my mind not only all human knowledge but the very secrets of God, and if I also have that absolute faith which can move mountains, but have no love, I amount to nothing at all. If I dispose of all that I possess, yes, even if I give my own body to be burned, but have no love, I achieve precisely nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor and though I give my body to be burned and have not charity, it profits me nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.
And if I parcel out all my possessions, and if I hand over my body in order that I will be burned, but do not have love, it benefits me nothing.
If I gave everything I have to poor people, and if I were burned alive for preaching the Gospel but didn’t love others, it would be of no value whatever.
If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love. Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have. Love doesn’t strut, Doesn’t have a swelled head, Doesn’t force itself on others, Isn’t always “me first,” Doesn’t fly off the handle, Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others, Doesn’t revel when others grovel, Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth, Puts up with anything, Trusts God always, Always looks for the best, Never looks back, But keeps going to the end.
If I give all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, and have not love, it profits me nothing.
If I give away everything · I own, and if I surrender · my body to be burned, but do not have love, it benefits me nothing.
I may even give away all that I have and give up my body to be burned. But if I don’t have love, none of these things will help me.
If I give away everything I own, and if I hand my body over so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing.
And if I give away all my possessions to charity, and if I surrender my body so that I may glory, but do not have love, it does me no good.
And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.
If I give away everything to feed the poor and hand over my body to be burned, but do not have love, I achieve nothing.
I may give away everything I have, and I may even give my body as an offering to be burned. But I gain nothing if I do not have love.
If I give away everything I own, and if I give over my body in order to boast, but do not have love, I receive no benefit.
Suppose I give everything I have to poor people. And suppose I give myself over to a difficult life so I can brag. If I don’t have love, I get nothing at all.
If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
If I give everything I have to feed poor people and if I give my body to be burned, but do not have love, it will not help me.
If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.
And if I bestowed all my goods to feed the poor, and even if I gave my body to be burned, and yet had no love, it profits me nothing.
If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
If I give away all my possessions and if I hand over my body so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing.
If I give all my possessions to the poor, and, for pride’s sake, my very body, but do not have love, it’s useless to me.
And if I’m a marbitz tzedaka and give all I possess in gemilut chasadim and if I give my body al kiddush ha-Shem for sereifah (death by burning), but ahavah I do not have, I have gained nothing. [DANIEL 3:28]
And though I feed the poor with all my goods, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not love, it profits me nothing.
If I give away all I have, and if I deliver my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
If I give away all I have, and if I deliver my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
If I give away all that I own and if I hand over my body so I might boast but have not love, I gain nothing.
I could give all that I have to feed the poor, I could surrender my body to be burned as a martyr, but if I do not live in love, I gain nothing by my selfless acts.
If I give away all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but don’t have love, it profits me nothing.
If I give away all I have, and if I give my body to be burned, but if I do not love people, I get nothing out of it.
And if I part all my goods into the meats of poor men, and if I betake my body, so that I burn, and if I have not charity, it profiteth to me nothing.
and if I give away to feed others all my goods, and if I give up my body that I may be burned, and have not love, I am profited nothing.
