Some men’s sins are open beforehand, going on to judgment; and in some men they follow after.
Some men’s sins are evident, going before unto judgment; and some men also they follow after.
The sins of some people are conspicuous, leading the way for them into judgment [so that they are clearly not qualified for ministry]; but the sins of others appear later [for they are hidden and follow behind them].
The sins of some men are conspicuous (openly evident to all eyes), going before them to the judgment [seat] and proclaiming their sentence in advance; but the sins of others appear later [following the offender to the bar of judgment and coming into view there].
Some men’s sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.
Some people’s sins are obvious, preceding them to judgment, but the sins of others surface later.
The sins of some people are obvious, and the sins are judged before the people must face judgment, but the sins of other people show up later.

Of some men the sins are manifest beforehand, going before to judgment, and some also they follow after.
The sins of some people are clear-beforehand, going ahead-of them to judgment, but indeed for some they follow-after.
Some men's sins are manifest, going before to judgment: and some men they follow after.
The sins of some people are easy to see. Their sins show that they will be judged. But the sins of some others are seen only later.
Some people do wrong things that everyone can see clearly. When someone judges those people, everyone already knows that they are guilty. So everybody already knows that it is right to punish those people. But for other people, nobody knows about their sins until later.
The sins of some people are obvious, going on ahead of them to judgment, but the sins of others follow them there.

Remember that some men’s sins are obvious, and are equally obviously bringing them to judgment. The sins of other men are not apparent, but are dogging them, nevertheless, under the surface. Similarly some virtues are plain to see, while others, though not at all conspicuous, will eventually make themselves felt.

The sins of some people are blatant and march them right into court. The sins of others don’t show up until much later. The same with good deeds. Some you see right off, but none are hidden forever.
