145 ^(A)I will extol you, my God and ^(B)King,
    and bless your name for ever and ever.
² Every day I will bless you
    ^(C)and praise your name for ever and ever.
^3 (D)Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised,
    and his ^(E)greatness is unsearchable.
^4 (F)One generation shall commend your works to another,
    and shall declare your mighty acts.
⁵ On ^(G)the glorious splendour of your majesty,
    and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.
⁶ They shall speak of ^(H)the might of your awesome deeds,
    and I will declare your greatness.
⁷ They shall pour forth the fame of your ^(I)abundant goodness
    and shall sing aloud of your righteousness.
⁸ The Lord is ^(J)gracious and merciful,
    slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.

¹⁴ The Lord has given commandment about you:
    ^(A)“No more shall your name be perpetuated;
from ^(B)the house of your gods I will cut off
    the carved image and the metal image.
^(C)I will make your grave, ^(D)for you are vile.”
^{15 [a] (E)}Behold, upon the mountains, ^(F)the feet of him
    who brings good news,
    who publishes peace!
^(G)Keep your feasts, O Judah;
    ^(H)fulfil your vows,
^(I)for never again shall the worthless pass through you;
    he is utterly cut off.

2 ^(J)The scatterer has come up against you.
    ^(K)Man the ramparts;
    watch the road;
dress for battle;^[b]
    collect all your strength.
² For ^(L)the Lord is restoring the majesty of Jacob
    as the majesty of Israel,
for plunderers have plundered them
    and ^(M)ruined their branches.
