  12. Jesus Heals Two Men with Demons

    And when he came to the other side, to the country of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men met him, coming out of the tombs, so fierce that no one could pass that way.
  13. And behold, they cried out, “What have you to do with us, O Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time?”
  14. And the demons begged him, saying, “If you cast us out, send us away into the herd of pigs.”
  15. And he said to them, “Go.” So they came out and went into the pigs, and behold, the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea and drowned in the waters.
  16. And behold, all the city came out to meet Jesus, and when they saw him, they begged him to leave their region.
  17. But when the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose.
  18. And when the demon had been cast out, the mute man spoke. And the crowds marveled, saying, “Never was anything like this seen in Israel.”
  19. But the Pharisees said, “He casts out demons by the prince of demons.”
  20. therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
  21. The Twelve Apostles

    And he called to him his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every affliction.
  22. Jesus Sends Out the Twelve Apostles

    These twelve Jesus sent out, instructing them, “Go nowhere among the Gentiles and enter no town of the Samaritans,
  23. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying; give without pay.

  32. But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, “It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this man casts out demons.”
  33. And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?
  34. And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges.
  35. But if it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
  36. You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
  37. The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil.
  38. Return of an Unclean Spirit

    “When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, but finds none.

  49. Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”
  50. it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.”
  51. But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person.
  52. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander.
  53. And behold, a Canaanite woman from that region came out and was crying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is severely oppressed by a demon.”
  54. But he did not answer her a word. And his disciples came and begged him, saying, “Send her away, for she is crying out after us.”
  55. And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him, and the boy was healed instantly.
  56. Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?”
  57. And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into the hell of fire.
  58. And out of pity for him, the master of that servant released him and forgave him the debt.
  59. But when that same servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii, and seizing him, he began to choke him, saying, ‘Pay what you owe.’
  60. Laborers in the Vineyard

    “For the kingdom of heaven is like a master of a house who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.
  61. And going out about the third hour he saw others standing idle in the marketplace,
  62. So they went. Going out again about the sixth hour and the ninth hour, he did the same.

  68. But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying out in the temple, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant,
  69. and they said to him, “Do you hear what these are saying?” And Jesus said to them, “Yes; have you never read, “‘Out of the mouth of infants and nursing babies you have prepared praise’?”
  70. And leaving them, he went out of the city to Bethany and lodged there.
  71. And they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.
  72. They said to him, “He will put those wretches to a miserable death and let out the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the fruits in their seasons.”

  79. So you also outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
  80. Jesus Foretells Destruction of the Temple

    Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple.
  81. So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it.
  82. And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
  83. The Lesson of the Fig Tree

    “From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near.
