  1. And all the country of Judea and all Jerusalem were going out to him and were being baptized by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.

  33. So he gave them permission. And the unclean spirits came out and entered the pigs; and the herd, numbering about two thousand, rushed down the steep bank into the sea and drowned in the sea.
  34. And Jesus, perceiving in himself that power had gone out from him, immediately turned about in the crowd and said, “Who touched my garments?”
  35. And they laughed at him. But he put them all outside and took the child's father and mother and those who were with him and went in where the child was.

    And he called the twelve and began to send them out two by two, and gave them authority over the unclean spirits.
  37. So they went out and proclaimed that people should repent.

  50. And he took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village, and when he had spit on his eyes and laid his hands on him, he asked him, “Do you see anything?”
  51. And a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my beloved Son; listen to him.”
  52. And whenever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams and grinds his teeth and becomes rigid. So I asked your disciples to cast it out, and they were not able.”

  54. And when Jesus saw that a crowd came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.”
  55. And after crying out and convulsing him terribly, it came out, and the boy was like a corpse, so that most of them said, “He is dead.”
  56. And when he had entered the house, his disciples asked him privately, “Why could we not cast it out?”
  57. And he said to them, “This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer.”
  58. Anyone Not Against Us Is for Us
