Romans 9:18
Print
Therefore hath He mercy on whom He will have mercy, and whom He will, He hardeneth.
So then he hath mercy on whom he will, and whom he will he hardeneth.
So then, He has mercy on whom He wills (chooses), and He hardens [the heart of] whom He wills.
So then He has mercy on whomever He wills (chooses) and He hardens (makes stubborn and unyielding the heart of) whomever He wills.
Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.
So then, he has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy and he hardens whom he wants to harden.
So then, God has mercy on whomever he wants to, but he makes resistant whomever he wants to.
So then, he has mercy on whom he wants, and he hardens whom he wants.
Everything depends on what God decides to do, and he can either have pity on people or make them stubborn.
So then, to whom he will he shews mercy, and whom he will he hardens.
So then, He has-mercy-on whom He wants, and He hardens whom He wants.
Therefore he hath mercy on whom he will; and whom he will, he hardeneth.
So God shows mercy to those he wants to show mercy to and makes stubborn those he wants to make stubborn.
So we see this: God is kind to some people and he forgives them. But he causes some people, like Pharaoh, to turn against him. He chooses what he will do with each person.
So then, God shows mercy to whom he desires, and he hardens whom he desires.
So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills.
So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills.
So God shows mercy where he wants to show mercy, and he ·makes stubborn [hardens] the people he wants to ·make stubborn [harden].
Therefore he hath mercy on whom he will, and whom he will he hardeneth.
Therefore, if God wants to be kind to anyone, he will be. If he wants to make someone stubborn, he will.
So then, God has mercy on anyone he wishes, and he makes stubborn anyone he wishes.
So then, He shows mercy to those He wants to, and He hardens those He wants to harden.
So God shows mercy where he wants to show mercy. And he makes stubborn the people he wants to make stubborn.
Therefore, God has mercy on whomever he chooses, and he hardens the heart of whomever he chooses.
It seems plain, then, that God chooses on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will harden in their sin.
Therefore he has mercy on whom he will have mercy, and he hardens whom he will.
Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.
Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.
So then He has mercy on whom He desires, and He hardens whom He desires.
Consequently therefore, he has mercy on whomever he wishes, and he hardens whomever he wishes.
So you see, God is kind to some just because he wants to be, and he makes some refuse to listen.
Is that grounds for complaining that God is unfair? Not so fast, please. God told Moses, “I’m in charge of mercy. I’m in charge of compassion.” Compassion doesn’t originate in our bleeding hearts or moral sweat, but in God’s mercy. The same point was made when God said to Pharaoh, “I picked you as a bit player in this drama of my salvation power.” All we’re saying is that God has the first word, initiating the action in which we play our part for better or worse.
Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills, and He hardens whom He wills.
So then, God has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills.
Therefore, if God wants to be kind to anyone, he will be. If he wants to make someone stubborn, he will.
Consequently, he has mercy upon whom he wills, and he hardens whom he wills.
So then He has mercy on whom He desires, and He hardens whom He desires.
So then He has mercy on whom He desires, and He hardens whom He desires.
Consequently, he shows mercy to whomever he wills, and he hardens the hearts of whomever he wills.
So God shows mercy where he wants to show mercy, and he makes stubborn the people he wants to make stubborn.
So then, God has mercy on whom he chooses to have mercy, and he hardens whom he chooses to harden.
So God does what he wants to do. He shows mercy to one person and makes another stubborn.
Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.
Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.
Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens.
So God has loving-kindness for those He wants to. He makes some have hard hearts if He wants to.
So you see, God chooses to show mercy to some, and he chooses to harden the hearts of others so they refuse to listen.
Therefore he has mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will, he makes hardhearted.
So then he has mercy on whomsoever he chooses, and he hardens the heart of whomsoever he chooses.
So then he has mercy on whomsoever he chooses, and he hardens the heart of whomsoever he chooses.
So then he has mercy on whomever he chooses, and he hardens the heart of whomever he chooses.
So then he has mercy on whomever he chooses, and he hardens the heart of whomever he chooses.
So, then, he has mercy on the one he wants, and he hardens the one he wants.
So then, to whom Hashem wills Hashem shows chaninah (mercy, free grace), but whom Hashem wills he hardens (that is, makes unresponsive or more mired down in KESHI (stubbornness, hardness)[DEVARIM 9:27].
Therefore, He has mercy on whom He will. And whom He will, He hardens.
So then he has mercy upon whomever he wills, and he hardens the heart of whomever he wills.
So then he has mercy upon whomever he wills, and he hardens the heart of whomever he wills.
So then He has mercy on whom He wills, and He hardens whom He wills.
So when and where God decides to show mercy is completely up to Him. Likewise, when He chooses to harden one’s heart, how can we argue?
So then, he has mercy on whom he desires, and he hardens whom he desires.
So you will ask me, `Why does God still blame us? Who can fight against what God has planned?'
Therefore of whom God will, he hath mercy; and whom he will, he endureth [and whom he will, he endureth, or hardeneth].
so, then, to whom He willeth, He doth kindness, and to whom He willeth, He doth harden.
