For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh.
For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh:
For he is not a [real] Jew who is only one outwardly, nor is [true] circumcision something external and physical.
For he is not a [real] Jew who is only one outwardly and publicly, nor is [true] circumcision something external and physical.
For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
For a person is not a Jew who is one outwardly, and true circumcision is not something visible in the flesh.
It isn’t the Jew who maintains outward appearances who will receive praise from God, and it isn’t people who are outwardly circumcised on their bodies.
For the real Jew is not merely Jewish outwardly: true circumcision is not only external and physical.
Just because you live like a Jew and are circumcised doesn't make you a real Jew.
For he is not a Jew who [is] one outwardly, neither that circumcision which is outward in flesh;
For the Jew in the visible thing is not a Jew, nor is the circumcision in the visible thing in the flesh circumcision,
For it is not he is a Jew, who is so outwardly; nor is that circumcision which is outwardly in the flesh:
You are not a true Jew if you are only a Jew in your physical body. True circumcision is not only on the outside of the body.
Not everyone who seems to be a Jew is really a Jew who belongs to God. God does not accept a man just because someone has circumcised that man's body.
In fact, a Jew who is merely one outwardly is not really a Jew, and circumcision that is only outward in the flesh is not really circumcision.
For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical.
For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical.
They can do this because a person is not a true Jew if he is only a Jew ·in his physical body [L by (physical) appearance]; true circumcision is not ·only on the outside of the body [L the appearance of the flesh].
For he is not a Jew, which is one outward: neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
A person is not a Jew because of his appearance, nor is circumcision a matter of how the body looks.
After all, who is a real Jew, truly circumcised? It is not the man who is a Jew on the outside, whose circumcision is a physical thing.
For a person is not a Jew who is one outwardly, and true circumcision is not something visible in the flesh.
A person is not a true Jew if he is only a Jew in his physical body. True circumcision is not only on the outside of the body.
For a person is not a Jew because of his appearance, nor is circumcision something just external and physical.
I have come to the conclusion that a true Jew is not the man who is merely a Jew outwardly, and a real circumcision is not just a matter of the body. The true Jew is one who belongs to God in heart, a man whose circumcision is not just an outward physical affair but is a God-made sign upon the heart and soul, and results in a life lived not for the approval of man, but for the approval of God.
For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, neither is circumcision that which is done outwardly in the flesh;
For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh.
For the Jew is not one outwardly, nor is circumcision outwardly, in the flesh.
For you are not real Jews just because you were born of Jewish parents or because you have gone through the Jewish initiation ceremony of circumcision.
Circumcision, the surgical ritual that marks you as a Jew, is great if you live in accord with God’s law. But if you don’t, it’s worse than not being circumcised. The reverse is also true: The uncircumcised who keep God’s ways are as good as the circumcised—in fact, better. Better to keep God’s law uncircumcised than break it circumcised. Don’t you see: It’s not the cut of a knife that makes a Jew. You become a Jew by who you are. It’s the mark of God on your heart, not of a knife on your skin, that makes a Jew. And recognition comes from God, not legalistic critics. * * *
He is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is external in the flesh.
For that person is not a Jew who is one outwardly, · nor is · circumcision that which is outward · in the flesh.
A person is not a Jew because of his appearance, nor is circumcision a matter of how the body looks.
One is not a Jew outwardly. True circumcision is not outward, in the flesh.
For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh.
For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh.
A man is not a Jew who is only one outwardly, nor is true circumcision external and physical.
They can do this because a person is not a true Jew if he is only a Jew in his physical body; true circumcision is not only on the outside of the body.
For a person is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision something that is outward in the flesh,
A person is not a Jew if they are a Jew only on the outside. And circumcision is more than just something done to the outside of a man’s body.
A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical.
A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical.
For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh;
A man is not a Jew just because he goes through the religious act of becoming a Jew.
For you are not a true Jew just because you were born of Jewish parents or because you have gone through the ceremony of circumcision.
For he is not a Jew who is a Jew outwardly. Neither is that thing circumcision which is outward in the flesh.
For a person is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is true circumcision something external and physical.
For a person is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is true circumcision something external and physical.
For a person is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is true circumcision something external and physical.
For a person is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision something external and physical.
The “Jew” isn’t the person who appears to be one, you see. Nor is “circumcision” what it appears to be, a matter of physical flesh.
For the true Yehudi (Jew) is not the one [humanly] perceived as such, nor true bris milah that which is performed visibly in the flesh;
For no one is a Jew outwardly. Nor is circumcision outward, in the flesh.
For he is not a real Jew who is one outwardly, nor is true circumcision something external and physical.
For he is not a real Jew who is one outwardly, nor is true circumcision something external and physical.
For one is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision something visible in the flesh.
A mark that is evident doesn’t necessarily make one a Jew, and circumcision that is evident only in the flesh is not true.
For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh;
If a person is a Jew only on the outside, he is not really a Jew. And true circumcision is not something that is done on the outside of the body.
For he that is in open is not a Jew, neither it is circumcision that is openly in the flesh [neither the circumcision that is in the flesh in open];
For he is not a Jew who is [so] outwardly, neither [is] circumcision that which is outward in flesh;
