Mark 7:12
and ye suffer him no more to do aught for his father or his mother,
ye no longer suffer him to do aught for his father or his mother;
then you no longer let him do anything for his father or mother [since helping them would violate his vow of Corban];
Then you no longer are permitting him to do anything for [his] father or mother [but are letting him off from helping them].
And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;
then you are no longer required to care for your father or mother.’
then you no longer let him do anything for his father or mother.
You won’t let those people help their parents.
And ye no longer suffer him to do anything for his father or his mother;
you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or mother—
And further you suffer him not to do any thing for his father or mother,
You are telling people that they do not have to do anything for their father or mother.
then you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or mother,
then you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or mother,
You no longer let that person ·use that money [do anything] for his father or his mother.
So ye suffer him no more to do anything for his father, or his mother.
he no longer has to do anything for his father or mother.’
they are excused from helping their father or mother.
“you no longer let him do anything for his father or mother.
You are telling that person that he does not have to do anything for his father or mother.
‘you no longer let him do anything for his father or mother.’
Then he went on, “It is wonderful to see how you can set aside the commandment of God to preserve your own tradition! For Moses said, ‘Honour your father and your mother’ and ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death’. But you say, ‘if a man says to his father or his mother, Korban—meaning, I have given God whatever duty I owed to you’, then he need not lift a finger any longer for his father or mother, so making the word of God invalid for the sake of the tradition which you hold. And this is typical of much of what you do.”
And ye suffer him to do no more for his father or for his mother,
And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;
And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;
you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or his mother,
And so you break the law of God in order to protect your man-made tradition. And this is only one example. There are many, many others.”
He went on, “Well, good for you. You get rid of God’s command so you won’t be inconvenienced in following the religious fashions! Moses said, ‘Respect your father and mother,’ and, ‘Anyone denouncing father or mother should be killed.’ But you weasel out of that by saying that it’s perfectly acceptable to say to father or mother, ‘Gift! What I owed you I’ve given as a gift to God,’ thus relieving yourselves of obligation to father or mother. You scratch out God’s Word and scrawl a whim in its place. You do a lot of things like this.”
Then you no longer let him do anything for his father or his mother,
then you no longer allow him to do anything for his father or · mother.
he no longer has to do anything for his father or mother.’
you allow him to do nothing more for his father or mother.
you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or his mother;
You no longer let that person use that money for his father or his mother.
then you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or mother.
So you no longer let them do anything for their parents.
then you no longer let them do anything for their father or mother.
then you no longer let them do anything for their father or mother.
then you no longer let him do anything for his father or his mother,
You are not making him do anything for his father and mother.
In this way, you let them disregard their needy parents.
then you no longer permit doing anything for a father or mother,
then you no longer permit doing anything for a father or mother,
then you no longer permit doing anything for a father or mother,
then you no longer permit doing anything for a father or mother,
Then no longer do you permit him to do anything for his Abba or his Em.
then you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or mother,
then you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or mother,
then you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or mother,
After that he is not allowed to do anything for his parents.
then you no longer allow him to do anything for his father or his mother,
So you stop him from doing anything for his father and mother.
and over [and further] ye suffer not him [to] do any thing to father or mother,
and no more do ye suffer him to do anything for his father or for his mother,
