And if ye do good to them that do good to you, what thanks have ye? For sinners also do even the same.
And if ye do good to them that do good to you, what thank have ye? for even sinners do the same.
If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
And if you are kind and good and do favors to and benefit those who are kind and good and do favors to and benefit you, what quality of credit and thanks is that to you? For even the preeminently sinful do the same.
And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
If you do good to those who do good to you, why should you be commended? Even sinners do that.
What credit is it to you if you do good only to those who do good to you? Even sinners do that.
If you are kind only to someone who is kind to you, will God be pleased with you for that? Even sinners are kind to people who are kind to them.
And if ye do good to those that do good to you, what thank is it to you? for even sinners do the same.
For if indeed you are doing-good-to the ones doing-good-to you, what kind of credit is it to you? Even the sinners are doing the same.
And if you do good to them who do good to you, what thanks are to you? for sinners also do this.
If you do good only to those who do good to you, should you get any special praise for doing that? No, even sinners do that!
And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
If you do good only to those who do good to you, what ·praise [credit] should you get? Even sinners do that!
And if ye do good for them which do good for you, what thank shall ye have? for even the sinners do the same.
If you help those who help you, do you deserve any thanks for that? Sinners do that too.
And if you do good only to those who do good to you, why should you receive a blessing? Even sinners do that!
If you do what is good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that.
If you do good only to those who do good to you, should you get some special praise for doing that? No! Even sinners do that!
If you do good to those who do good to you, what thanks do you deserve? Even sinners do that.
“If you love only those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them! And if you do good only to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that, And if you lend only to those from whom you hope to get your money back, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners and expect to get their money back. No, you are to love your enemies and do good and lend without hope of return. Your reward will be wonderful and you will be sons of the most high. For he is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked!
And if ye do good to those who do good to you, what grace shall ye have? for sinners also do even the same.

“Here is a simple rule of thumb for behavior: Ask yourself what you want people to do for you; then grab the initiative and do it for them! If you only love the lovable, do you expect a pat on the back? Run-of-the-mill sinners do that. If you only help those who help you, do you expect a medal? Garden-variety sinners do that. If you only give for what you hope to get out of it, do you think that’s charity? The stingiest of pawnbrokers does that.
And if you do good to those who do good to you, what thanks do you receive? For even sinners do the same.
And if you do good to those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even · sinners do the same.
If you help those who help you, do you deserve any thanks for that? Sinners do that too.

So what if you do good to those who do good to you? Even scoundrels do that much!

If you do good things to those who do good things to you, what good is there in that? Bad people do the same.
And if ye do well to them that do well to you, what grace is to you? for sinful men do this thing.
