And in the synagogue there was a man, who had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice,

A man in the synagogue had the spirit of an unclean demon. He screamed,

In the synagogue there was a man who had an evil spirit from the devil inside him. The man shouted loudly,
There was a sick man in the meeting place. He had a spirit of a bad demon that was living inside him. The spirit caused the man to shout loudly.
In the synagogue there was a man who was possessed by the unclean spirit of a demon. He cried out with a loud voice,

Once as he was teaching in the synagogue, a man possessed by a demon began shouting at Jesus,
In the meeting place that day there was a man demonically disturbed. He screamed, “Stop! What business do you have here with us, Jesus? Nazarene! I know what you’re up to. You’re the Holy One of God and you’ve come to destroy us!”

Next He went to Capernaum, another Galilean city. Again He was in the synagogue teaching on the Sabbath, and as before, the people were enthralled by His words. He had a way of saying things—a special authority, a unique power. In attendance that day was a man with a demonic spirit.

A man who had a bad spirit in him was in the meeting house. He called in a loud voice.
