The man answered and said unto them, Why, herein is the marvel, that ye know not whence he is, and yet he opened mine eyes.
The man replied, “Well, this is astonishing! You do not know where He comes from, and yet He opened my eyes!
The man replied, Well, this is astonishing! Here a Man has opened my eyes, and yet you do not know where He comes from. [That is amazing!]
The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.
“This is an amazing thing!” the man told them. “You don’t know where he is from, and yet he opened my eyes.
The man answered, “This is incredible! You don’t know where he is from, yet he healed my eyes!
“What a strange thing,” the man answered, “that you don’t know where he’s from — considering that he opened my eyes!
“How strange!” the man replied. “He healed my eyes, and yet you don't know where he comes from.
The man answered and said to them, Now in this is a wonderful thing, that *ye* do not know whence he is, and he has opened mine eyes.
The man responded and said to them, “Why, in this is the marvel that you do not know where He is from, and He opened my eyes!

The man answered, “This is really strange! You don’t know where he comes from, but he healed my eyes.
The man answered, ‘That is a very strange thing! You do not know where this man comes from. But he is the one who made my eyes able to see.
“That’s amazing!” the man answered. “You do not know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes.

The man answered, “This is a very strange thing. You don’t know where he comes from, and yet he opened my eyes.
The man answered them, “This is an amazing thing! You don’t know where he comes from, yet he healed my eyes.
“Now here’s the extraordinary thing,” he retorted, “you don’t know where he came from and yet he gave me the gift of sight. Everybody knows that God does not listen to sinners. It is the man who has a proper respect for God and does what God wants him to do—he’s the one God listens to. Why, since the world began, nobody’s ever heard of a man who was born blind being given his sight. If this man did not come from God, he couldn’t do such a thing!”
The man answered and said unto them, Indeed this is a marvellous thing that ye do not know where he is from, and yet he has opened my eyes.
The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.

“Why, that’s very strange!” the man replied. “He can heal blind men, and yet you don’t know anything about him!
The man replied, “This is amazing! You claim to know nothing about him, but the fact is, he opened my eyes! It’s well known that God isn’t at the beck and call of sinners, but listens carefully to anyone who lives in reverence and does his will. That someone opened the eyes of a man born blind has never been heard of—ever. If this man didn’t come from God, he wouldn’t be able to do anything.”
The man answered, “Well, here is an amazing thing! You do not know where He is from, and yet He opened my eyes.
