Hebrews 1

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spoke in times past unto the fathers by the prophets,
hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed Heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds,
who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
being made so much better than the angels, as He hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
For unto which of the angels said God at any time, “Thou art My Son; this day have I begotten Thee”? And again, “I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son”?
And again, when He bringeth in the First-Begotten into the world, He saith, “And let all the angels of God worship Him.”
And of the angels He saith, “Who maketh His angels spirits and His ministers a flame of fire.”
But unto the Son He saith, “Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Thy Kingdom.
Thou hast loved righteousness and hated iniquity; therefore God, even Thy God, hath anointed Thee with the oil of gladness above Thy fellows.”
And, “Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the works of Thine hands.
They shall perish, but Thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment.
And as a vesture shalt Thou fold them up, and they shall be changed. But Thou art the same, and Thy years shall not fail.”
But to which of the angels said He at any time, “Sit on My right hand until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool”?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for those who shall be heirs of salvation?
God, having of old time spoken unto the fathers in the prophets by divers portions and in divers manners,
hath at the end of these days spoken unto us in his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds;
who being the effulgence of his glory, and the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had made purification of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
having become by so much better than the angels, as he hath inherited a more excellent name than they.
For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, This day have I begotten thee? and again, I will be to him a Father, And he shall be to me a Son?
And when he again bringeth in the firstborn into the world he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels winds, And his ministers a flame of fire:
but of the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; And the sceptre of uprightness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee With the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning didst lay the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the works of thy hands:
They shall perish; but thou continuest: And they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
And as a mantle shalt thou roll them up, As a garment, and they shall be changed: But thou art the same, And thy years shall not fail.
But of which of the angels hath he said at any time, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to do service for the sake of them that shall inherit salvation?
God, having spoken to the fathers long ago in [the voices and writings of] the prophets in many separate revelations [each of which set forth a portion of the truth], and in many ways,
has in these last days spoken [with finality] to us in [the person of One who is by His character and nature] His Son [namely Jesus], whom He appointed heir and lawful owner of all things, through whom also He created the universe [that is, the universe as a space-time-matter continuum].
The Son is the radiance and only expression of the glory of [our awesome] God [reflecting God’s Shekinah glory, the Light-being, the brilliant light of the divine], and the exact representation and perfect imprint of His [Father’s] essence, and upholding and maintaining and propelling all things [the entire physical and spiritual universe] by His powerful word [carrying the universe along to its predetermined goal]. When He [Himself and no other] had [by offering Himself on the cross as a sacrifice for sin] accomplished purification from sins and established our freedom from guilt, He sat down [revealing His completed work] at the right hand of the Majesty on high [revealing His Divine authority],
having become as much superior to angels, since He has inherited a more excellent and glorious name than they [that is, Son—the name above all names].
For to which of the angels did the Father ever say, “You are My Son, Today I have begotten (fathered) You [established You as a Son, with kingly dignity]”? And again [did He ever say to the angels], “I shall be a Father to Him And He shall be a Son to Me”?
And when He again brings the firstborn [highest-ranking Son] into the world, He says, “And all the angels of God are to worship Him.”
And concerning the angels He says, “Who makes His angels winds, And His ministering servants flames of fire [to do His bidding].”
But about the Son [the Father says to Him], “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, And the scepter of [absolute] righteousness is the scepter of His kingdom.
You have loved righteousness [integrity, virtue, uprightness in purpose] and have hated lawlessness [injustice, sin]. Therefore God, Your God, Has anointed You With the oil of gladness above Your companions.”
And, “You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, And the heavens are the works of Your hands;
They will perish, but You remain [forever and ever]; And they will all wear out like a garment,
And like a robe You will roll them up; Like a garment they will be changed. But You are the same [forever], And Your years will never end.”
But to which of the angels has the Father ever said, “Sit at My right hand [together with me in royal dignity], Until I make your enemies A footstool for your feet [in triumphant conquest]”?
Are not all the angels ministering spirits sent out [by God] to serve (accompany, protect) those who will inherit salvation? [Of course they are!]
In many separate revelations [each of which set forth a portion of the Truth] and in different ways God spoke of old to [our] forefathers in and by the prophets,
[But] in the last of these days He has spoken to us in [the person of a] Son, Whom He appointed Heir and lawful Owner of all things, also by and through Whom He created the worlds and the reaches of space and the ages of time [He made, produced, built, operated, and arranged them in order].
He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God’s] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high,
[Taking a place and rank by which] He Himself became as much superior to angels as the glorious Name (title) which He has inherited is different from and more excellent than theirs.
For to which of the angels did [God] ever say, You are My Son, today I have begotten You [established You in an official Sonship relation, with kingly dignity]? And again, I will be to Him a Father, and He will be to Me a Son?
Moreover, when He brings the firstborn Son again into the habitable world, He says, Let all the angels of God worship Him.
Referring to the angels He says, [God] Who makes His angels winds and His ministering servants flames of fire;
But as to the Son, He says to Him, Your throne, O God, is forever and ever (to the ages of the ages), and the scepter of Your kingdom is a scepter of absolute righteousness (of justice and straightforwardness).
You have loved righteousness [You have delighted in integrity, virtue, and uprightness in purpose, thought, and action] and You have hated lawlessness (injustice and iniquity). Therefore God, [even] Your God (Godhead), has anointed You with the oil of exultant joy and gladness above and beyond Your companions.
And [further], You, Lord, did lay the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the works of Your hands.
They will perish, but You remain and continue permanently; they will all grow old and wear out like a garment.
Like a mantle [thrown about one’s self] You will roll them up, and they will be changed and replaced by others. But You remain the same, and Your years will never end nor come to failure.
Besides, to which of the angels has He ever said, Sit at My right hand [associated with Me in My royal dignity] till I make your enemies a stool for your feet?
Are not the angels all ministering spirits (servants) sent out in the service [of God for the assistance] of those who are to inherit salvation?
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
Long ago God spoke to our ancestors by the prophets at different times and in different ways.
In these last days, he has spoken to us by his Son. God has appointed him heir of all things and made the universe through him.
The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact expression of his nature, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
So he became superior to the angels, just as the name he inherited is more excellent than theirs.
For to which of the angels did he ever say, You are my Son; today I have become your Father, or again, I will be his Father, and he will be my Son?
Again, when he brings his firstborn into the world, he says, And let all God’s angels worship him.
And about the angels he says: He makes his angels winds, and his servants a fiery flame,
but to the Son: Your throne, God, is forever and ever, and the scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of justice.
You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; this is why God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of joy beyond your companions.
And: In the beginning, Lord, you established the earth, and the heavens are the works of your hands;
they will perish, but you remain. They will all wear out like clothing;
you will roll them up like a cloak, and they will be changed like clothing. But you are the same, and your years will never end.
Now to which of the angels has he ever said: Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool?
Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve those who are going to inherit salvation?
In the past, God spoke through the prophets to our ancestors in many times and many ways.
In these final days, though, he spoke to us through a Son. God made his Son the heir of everything and created the world through him.
The Son is the light of God’s glory and the imprint of God’s being. He maintains everything with his powerful message. After he carried out the cleansing of people from their sins, he sat down at the right side of the highest majesty.
And the Son became so much greater than the other messengers, such as angels, that he received a more important title than theirs.
After all, when did God ever say to any of the angels: You are my Son. Today I have become your Father? Or, even, I will be his Father, and he will be my Son?
But then, when he brought his firstborn into the world, he said, All of God’s angels must worship him.
He talks about the angels: He’s the one who uses the spirits for his messengers and who uses flames of fire as ministers.
But he says to his Son, God, your throne is forever and your kingdom’s scepter is a rod of justice.
You loved righteousness and hated lawless behavior. That is why God, your God, has anointed you more than your companions with the oil of joy.
And he says, You, Lord, laid the earth’s foundations in the beginning, and the heavens are made by your hands.
They will pass away, but you remain. They will all wear out like old clothes.
You will fold them up like a coat. They will be changed like a person changes clothes, but you stay the same, and the years of your life won’t come to an end.
When has he ever said to any of the angels, Sit at my right side until I put your enemies under your feet like a footstool?
Aren’t all the angels ministering spirits who are sent to serve those who are going to inherit salvation?
In days gone by, God spoke in many and varied ways to the Fathers through the prophets.
But now, in the acharit-hayamim, he has spoken to us through his Son, to whom he has given ownership of everything and through whom he created the universe.
This Son is the radiance of the Sh’khinah, the very expression of God’s essence, upholding all that exists by his powerful word; and after he had, through himself, made purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of HaG’dulah BaM’romim.
So he has become much better than angels, and the name God has given him is superior to theirs.
For to which of the angels did God ever say, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father”? Also, God never said of any angel, “I will be his Father, and he will be my Son.”
And again, when God brings his Firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all God’s angels worship him.”
Indeed, when speaking of angels, he says, “. . . who makes his angels winds and his servants fiery flames”;
but to the Son, he says, “Your throne, O God, will last forever and ever; you rule your Kingdom with a scepter of equity;
you have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. Therefore, O God, your God has anointed you with the oil of joy in preference to your companions”;
and, “In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth; heaven is the work of your hands.
They will vanish, but you will remain; like clothing, they will all grow old;
and you will fold them up like a coat. Yes, they will be changed like clothing, but you remain the same, your years will never end.”
Moreover, to which of the angels has he ever said, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”?
Aren’t they all merely spirits who serve, sent out to help those whom God will deliver?
Long ago in many ways and at many times God's prophets spoke his message to our ancestors.
But now at last, God sent his Son to bring his message to us. God created the universe by his Son, and everything will someday belong to the Son.
God's Son has all the brightness of God's own glory and is like him in every way. By his own mighty word, he holds the universe together. After the Son had washed away our sins, he sat down at the right side of the glorious God in heaven.
He had become much greater than the angels, and the name he was given is far greater than any of theirs.
God has never said to any of the angels, “You are my Son, because today I have become your Father!” Neither has God said to any of them, “I will be his Father, and he will be my Son!”
When God brings his first-born Son into the world, he commands all of his angels to worship him.
And when God speaks about the angels, he says, “I change my angels into wind and my servants into flaming fire.”
But God says about his Son, “You are God, and you will rule as King forever! Your royal power brings about justice.
You loved justice and hated evil, and so I, your God, have chosen you. I appointed you and made you happier than any of your friends.”
The Scriptures also say, “In the beginning, Lord, you were the one who laid the foundation of the earth and created the heavens.
They will all disappear and wear out like clothes, but you will last forever.
You will roll them up like a robe and change them like a garment. But you are always the same, and you will live forever.”
God never said to any of the angels, “Sit at my right side until I make your enemies into a footstool for you!”
Angels are merely spirits sent to serve people who are going to be saved.
God having spoken in many parts and in many ways formerly to the fathers in the prophets,
at the end of these days has spoken to us in [the person of the] Son, whom he has established heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
who being [the] effulgence of his glory and [the] expression of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, having made [by himself] the purification of sins, set himself down on the right hand of the greatness on high,
taking a place by so much better than the angels, as he inherits a name more excellent than they.
For to which of the angels said he ever, *Thou* art my Son: this day have *I* begotten thee? and again, *I* will be to him for father, and *he* shall be to me for son?
and again, when he brings in the firstborn into the habitable world, he says, And let all God's angels worship him.
And as to the angels he says, Who makes his angels spirits and his ministers a flame of fire;
but as to the Son, Thy throne, O God, [is] to the age of the age, and a sceptre of uprightness [is] the sceptre of thy kingdom.
Thou hast loved righteousness and hast hated lawlessness; therefore God, thy God, has anointed thee with oil of gladness above thy companions.
And, *Thou* in the beginning, Lord, hast founded the earth, and works of thy hands are the heavens.
They shall perish, but *thou* continuest still; and they all shall grow old as a garment,
and as a covering shalt thou roll them up, and they shall be changed; but *thou* art the Same, and thy years shall not fail.
But as to which of the angels said he ever, Sit at my right hand until I put thine enemies [as] footstool of thy feet?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out for service on account of those who shall inherit salvation?
God, having spoken long-ago in-many-portions and in-many-ways to the fathers by the prophets,
spoke to us at the last of these days by a Son, Whom He appointed inheritor of all things, through Whom also He made the worlds,
...Who— being the radiance of His glory and exact-representation of His essence, and upholding all things by the word of  His power— having made purification of sins, sat-down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
having become so-much better than the angels by-as-much-as He has inherited a more-excellent name than they.
For to which of the angels did He ever say “You are my Son. Today I have fathered you”? [Ps 2:7]; and again, “I will be a father to Him, and He will be a son to Me”? [1 Chron 17:13].
And again, when He brings the Firstborn into the world He says [in Deut 32:43] “And let all the angels of God give-worship to Him”.
And with regard to the angels He says [in Ps 104:4] “The One making His angels winds and His ministers a flame of  fire”.
But with regard to the Son He says: “Your throne, God, is forever and ever. And the scepter of  straightness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
You loved righteousness and hated lawlessness. For this reason God, your God, anointed You with the oil of gladness beyond Your companions” [Ps 45:6-7].
And, “You, Lord, laid-the-foundation-of the earth at the beginnings, and the heavens are works of Your hands.
They will perish, but You continue. Indeed they will all become-old like a garment,
and You will roll them up as-if a cloak. They will indeed be changed like a garment. But You are the same, and Your years will not end” [Ps 102:25-27].
And with regard to which of the angels has He ever said “Be sitting on My right side until I put Your enemies as a footstool of Your feet”? [Ps 110:1].
Are they not all ministering spirits being sent-forth for service for the sake of the ones going to inherit salvation?
God, who, at sundry times and in divers manners, spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets, last of all,
In these days hath spoken to us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the world.
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the figure of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, making purgation of sins, sitteth on the right hand of the majesty on high.
Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath inherited a more excellent name than they.
For to which of the angels hath he said at any time, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
And again, when he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he saith: And let all the angels of God adore him.
And to the angels indeed he saith: He that maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
But to the Son: Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of justice is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
Thou hast loved justice, and hated iniquity: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
And: Thou in the beginning, O Lord, didst found the earth: and the works of thy hands are the heavens.
They shall perish, but thou shalt continue: and they shall all grow old as a garment.
And as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: but thou art the selfsame, and thy years shall not fail.
But to which of the angels said he at any time: Sit on my right hand, until I make thy enemies thy footstool?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent to minister for them, who shall receive the inheritance of salvation?
In the past God spoke to our people through the prophets. He spoke to them many times and in many different ways.
And now in these last days, God has spoken to us again through his Son. He made the whole world through his Son. And he has chosen his Son to have all things.
The Son shows the glory of God. He is a perfect copy of God’s nature, and he holds everything together by his powerful command. The Son made people clean from their sins. Then he sat down at the right side of God, the Great One in heaven.
The Son became much greater than the angels, and God gave him a name that is much greater than any of their names.
God never said this to any of the angels: “You are my Son. Today I have become your Father.” God also never said about an angel, “I will be his Father, and he will be my son.”
And then, when God presents his firstborn Son to the world, he says, “Let all God’s angels worship him.”
This is what God said about the angels: “He changes his angels into winds and his servants into flaming fire.”
But this is what he said about his Son: “God, your kingdom will last forever and ever. You use your authority for justice.
You love what is right and hate what is wrong. So God, your God, has chosen you, giving you more honor and joy than anyone like you.”
God also said, “O Lord, in the beginning you made the earth, and your hands made the sky.
These things will disappear, but you will stay. They will all wear out like old clothes.
You will fold them up like a coat, and they will be changed like clothes. But you never change, and your life will never end.”
And God never said this to an angel: “Sit at my right side until I put your enemies under your power.”
All the angels are spirits who serve God and are sent to help those who will receive salvation.
Many years ago, God spoke to our ancestors by his prophets. He spoke many times and in many different ways.
But in these last days, he has spoken to us in his Son. In the beginning, God worked through his Son to make the whole universe. He decided that everything should belong to his Son.
The Son shows us completely what God is like. He shines with God's great glory. His nature is the same as God's nature. The Son's powerful word causes everything to continue. He himself made it possible for us to be clean from our sins. After he had done that, he returned to heaven. He went and he sat at the right side of God, who rules with all authority.
That shows us that God's Son is much greater than the angels. God has given him a name that shows he is more important than they are.
God never said this to any angel: ‘You are my Son. Today I have become your Father.’ In another place in the Bible, God says, ‘I will be his Father, and he will be my Son.’
Also, when God was ready to bring his greatest Son into the world, he said: ‘All God's angels must worship him.’
God speaks about the angels like this: ‘God makes his angels like winds. They serve him like fires that burn brightly.’
But this is what God says to his Son: ‘You are God and you will rule as King for ever! You will rule your kingdom in a completely good way.
You love everything that is right. And you hate everything that is wrong. Because of that, you will be completely happy. I am your God and I have blessed you. I have chosen you to be greater than others who are with you.’
The Bible also says this: ‘Lord, in the beginning you made the earth. With your own power, you also made everything above the earth.
All these things will come to an end. But as for you, you will continue for ever. Like clothes, those things will all become old.
Then you will put them away like an old coat. You will change them, like people change clothes. But you will always continue to be the same. Your life will never come to an end.’
Also, God has never said this to any of the angels: ‘Sit at my right side until I win against your enemies completely. Then you will be able to put your feet on them.’
So we see that all the angels are spirits who serve God. God sends them as his servants to help the people that he will save.
In the past, God spoke to our forefathers by the prophets at many times and in many ways.
In these last days, he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.
The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact imprint of the divine nature. He sustains all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he took his seat at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
The Son became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.
For to which of the angels did God ever say: You are my Son. Today I have begotten you? And again: I will be his Father, and he will be my Son.
And again, when he brought his firstborn into the world, he said: Let all God’s angels worship him.
About the angels he says: He makes his messengers winds and his ministers flaming fire.
But about the Son he says: God, your throne is forever and ever, and the scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of joy beyond your companions.

They will perish, but you remain. They will all become old like a garment.
You will roll them up like a robe, and they will be changed like a garment. But you are the same, and your years will never end.
To which of the angels has he ever said: Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool under your feet?
Are not all angels ministering spirits sent out to serve for the benefit of those who are going to inherit salvation?

but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.

And again, when he brings the firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all God's angels worship him.”
Of the angels he says, “He makes his angels winds, and his ministers a flame of fire.”
But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions.”
And, “You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of your hands;
they will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment,
like a robe you will roll them up, like a garment they will be changed. But you are the same, and your years will have no end.”

He ·holds everything together [sustains/upholds all things] with his powerful word. When the Son ·made people clean from their [L provided purification/cleansing for] sins [9:14], he sat down at the right ·side [L hand; C the most honored position beside a king; Ps. 110:1] of ·God, the Great One in heaven [L the Majesty/Preeminence in the highest places; C a Jewish way to avoid saying the divine name of God].
The Son became much ·greater [superior; better] than the angels, ·and [or just as; in the same way that] ·God gave him [L he inherited] a name [C either “Son” (v. 5), or referring to his nature or reputation] that is ·much greater than [far superior to] theirs.
This is because God never said to any of the angels, “You are my Son. Today I have ·become your Father [T begotten you; Ps. 2:7; see Heb. 5:5; Acts 13:33].” ·Nor did God say of any angel [L And again], “I will be his Father, and he will be my Son [2 Sam. 7:14].”
And [L again] when God brings ·his firstborn Son [L the firstborn; Rom. 8:29] into the world, he says, “Let all God’s angels worship him [Ps. 97:7 (in the Greek version of the OT); C similar words are found in the Greek version of Deut. 32:43 and in a Hebrew copy among the Dead Sea Scrolls].”
This is what God said about the angels: “·God makes his angels become like winds [or God makes winds into his messengers]. He makes ·his servants become like flames of fire [or flames of fire to be his servants; Ps. 104:4].”
But God said this about his Son: “·God, your throne [L Your throne, O God; ] will last forever and ever. You will rule your kingdom with ·fairness [L a just/righteous scepter; C a scepter symbolizes royal authority].
You love ·right [righteousness] and hate ·evil [wickedness; lawlessness], so ·God [L God, your God,] has ·chosen [L anointed] you ·from among your friends [or above your peers; above anyone else]; he has ·set you apart with much joy [L anointed you with the oil of joy/rejoicing; Ps. 45:6–7].”
God also says, “Lord, in the beginning you ·made [L laid the foundations of] the earth, and your hands made the ·skies [heavens].
They will be destroyed, but you ·will remain [continue; C forever]. They will all wear out like ·clothes [a garment].
You will ·fold them [roll them up] like a ·coat [robe]. And, like ·clothes [a garment], you will change them. But you ·never change [are the same; 13:8], and your ·life [L years] will never ·end [fail; run out; Ps. 102:25–27].”
And God never said this to an angel: “Sit by me at my right ·side [hand; v. 3] until I put your enemies ·under your control [L as a footstool under your feet; Ps. 110:1].”
·All the angels are [L Are they not…?] ·spirits who serve God [or ministering spirits] and are sent to ·help [serve] those who will ·receive [L inherit] salvation.
The drift and end of this Epistle, is to show that Jesus Christ the Son of God both God and man, is that true eternal and only Prophet, King, and high Priest, that was shadowed by the figures of the old Law, and is now indeed exhibited: of whom the whole Church ought to be taught, governed and sanctified. 2 To show that the doctrine which Christ brought, is most excellent, in that it is the knitting up of all prophecies, 4 he advanceth him above the Angels: 10 And proveth by divers testimonies of the Scripture, that he far passeth all others. At sundry times and in divers manners God spake in the old time to our fathers by the Prophets: in these last days he hath spoken unto us by his Son,
Whom he hath made heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds,
Who being the brightness of the glory, and the engraved form of his person, and bearing up all things by his mighty word: hath by himself purged our sins: and sitteth at the right hand of the Majesty in the highest places,
And is made so much more excellent than the Angels, inasmuch as he hath obtained a more excellent Name than they.
For unto which of the Angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day begat I thee? and again, I will be his Father, and he shall be my Son:
And again, when he bringeth in his first begotten Son into the world, he saith, And let all the Angels of God worship him.
And of the Angels he saith, He maketh the spirits his messengers, and his ministers a flame of fire.
But unto the Son he saith, O God, thy throne is forever and ever: the scepter of thy kingdom is a scepter of righteousness.
Thou hast loved righteousness and hated iniquity. Wherefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness, above thy fellows.
And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast established the earth, and the heavens are the works of thine hands.
They shall perish, but thou dost remain, and they all shall wax old as doth a garment,
And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
Unto which also of the Angels said he at any time, Sit at my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister, for their sakes which shall be heirs of salvation?
In the past God spoke to our ancestors at many different times and in many different ways through the prophets.
In these last days he has spoken to us through his Son. God made his Son responsible for everything. His Son is the one through whom God made the universe.
His Son is the reflection of God’s glory and the exact likeness of God’s being. He holds everything together through his powerful words. After he had cleansed people from their sins, he now holds the honored position—the one next to the majestic God [the Father] on the heavenly throne.
The Son has become greater than the angels since he has been given a name that is superior to theirs.
God never said to any of his angels, “You are my Son. Today I have become your Father.” And God never said to any of his angels, “I will be his Father, and he will be my Son.”
When God was about to send his firstborn Son into the world, he said, “All of God’s angels must worship him.”
God said about the angels, “He makes his messengers winds. He makes his servants flames of fire.”
But God said about his Son, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter in your kingdom is a scepter for justice.
You have loved what is right and hated what is wrong. That is why God, your God, anointed you, rather than your companions, with the oil of joy.”
God also said, “Lord, in the beginning you laid the foundation of the earth. With your own hands you made the heavens.
They will come to an end, but you will live forever. They will all wear out like clothes.
They will be taken off like a coat. You will change them like clothes. But you remain the same, and your life will never end.
But God never said to any of the angels, “Take the honored position—the one next to me on the heavenly throne until I put your enemies under your control.”
What are all the angels? They are spirits sent to serve those who are going to receive salvation.
In the past God spoke to our ancestors many times and in many ways through the prophets,
but in these last days he has spoken to us through his Son. He is the one through whom God created the universe, the one whom God has chosen to possess all things at the end.
He reflects the brightness of God's glory and is the exact likeness of God's own being, sustaining the universe with his powerful word. After achieving forgiveness for the sins of all human beings, he sat down in heaven at the right side of God, the Supreme Power.
The Son was made greater than the angels, just as the name that God gave him is greater than theirs.
For God never said to any of his angels, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father.” Nor did God say about any angel, “I will be his Father, and he will be my Son.”
But when God was about to send his first-born Son into the world, he said, “All of God's angels must worship him.”
But about the angels God said, “God makes his angels winds, and his servants flames of fire.”
About the Son, however, God said: “Your kingdom, O God, will last forever and ever! You rule over your people with justice.
You love what is right and hate what is wrong. That is why God, your God, has chosen you and has given you the joy of an honor far greater than he gave to your companions.”
He also said, “You, Lord, in the beginning created the earth, and with your own hands you made the heavens.
They will disappear, but you will remain; they will all wear out like clothes.
You will fold them up like a coat, and they will be changed like clothes. But you are always the same, and your life never ends.”
God never said to any of his angels: “Sit here at my right side until I put your enemies as a footstool under your feet.”
What are the angels, then? They are spirits who serve God and are sent by him to help those who are to receive salvation.
Long ago God spoke to the fathers by the prophets at different times and in different ways.
So He became higher in rank than the angels, just as the name He inherited is superior to theirs.
For to which of the angels did He ever say, You are My Son; today I have become Your Father, or again, I will be His Father, and He will be My Son?
When He again brings His firstborn into the world, He says, And all God’s angels must worship Him.
And about the angels He says: He makes His angels winds, and His servants a fiery flame,
but to the Son: Your throne, God, is forever and ever, and the scepter of Your kingdom is a scepter of justice.
You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; this is why God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of joy rather than Your companions.
And: In the beginning, Lord, You established the earth, and the heavens are the works of Your hands;
they will perish, but You remain. They will all wear out like clothing;
You will roll them up like a cloak, and they will be changed like a robe. But You are the same, and Your years will never end.
Now to which of the angels has He ever said: Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies Your footstool?
Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve those who are going to inherit salvation?
In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets. He spoke to them many times and in many different ways.
And now in these last days God has spoken to us through his Son. God has chosen his Son to own all things. And he made the world through the Son.
The Son reflects the glory of God. He is an exact copy of God’s nature. He holds everything together with his powerful word. The Son made people clean from their sins. Then he sat down at the right side of God, the Great One in heaven.
The Son became much greater than the angels. And God gave him a name that is much greater than theirs.
This is because God never said to any of the angels, “You are my Son. Today I have become your Father.” Psalm 2:7 Nor did God say of any angel, “I will be his Father, and he will be my Son.” 2 Samuel 7:14
And when God brings his firstborn Son into the world, he says, “Let all God’s angels worship him.” Psalm 97:7
This is what God said about the angels: “God makes his angels become like winds. He makes his servants become like flames of fire.” Psalm 104:4
But God said this about his Son: “God, your throne will last forever and ever. You will rule your kingdom with fairness.
You love what is right and hate evil. So God has chosen you to rule those with you. Your God has given you much joy.” Psalm 45:6-7
God also says, “Lord, in the beginning you made the earth. And your hands made the skies.
They will be destroyed, but you will remain. They will all wear out like clothes.
You will fold them like a coat. And, like clothes, you will change them. But you never change. And your life will never end.” Psalm 102:25-27
And God never said this to an angel: “Sit by me at my right side until I put your enemies under your control.” Psalm 110:1
All the angels are spirits who serve God and are sent to help those who will receive salvation.
God, having spoken in former times in fragmentary and varied fashion to our forefathers by the prophets,
has in these last days spoken to us by a Son whom he appointed to be the heir of everything and through whom he also made the universe.
He is the reflection of God’s glory and the exact likeness of his being, and he holds everything together by his powerful word. After he had provided a cleansing from sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Highest Majesty
and became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is better than theirs.
For to which of the angels did God ever say, “You are my Son. Today I have become your Father”? Or again, “I will be his Father, and he will be my Son”?
And again, when he brings his firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all God’s angels worship him.”
Now about the angels he says, “He makes his angels winds, and his servants flames of fire.”
But about the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the scepter of your kingdom is a righteous scepter.
You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. That is why God, your God, anointed you rather than your companions with the oil of gladness.”
And, “In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.
They will come to an end, but you will remain forever. They will all wear out like clothes.
You will roll them up like a robe, and they will be changed like clothes. But you remain the same, and your life will never end.”
But to which of the angels did he ever say, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”?
All of them are spirits on a divine mission, sent to serve those who are about to inherit salvation, aren’t they?
God, who gave our forefathers many different glimpses of the truth in the words of the prophets, has now, at the end of the present age, given us the truth in the Son. Through the Son God made the whole universe, and to the Son he has ordained that all creation shall ultimately belong. This Son, radiance of the glory of God, flawless expression of the nature of God, himself the upholding principle of all that is, effected in person the reconciliation between God and man and then took his seat at the right hand of the majesty on high—thus proving himself, by the more glorious name that he has won, far greater than all the angels of God.
For to which of the angels did he ever say such words as these: ‘You are my Son, today I have begotten you?’ Or, again ‘I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?’ Further, when he brings his first-born into this world of men, he says: ‘Let all the angels of God worship him’ This is what he says of the angels: ‘Who makes his angels spirits and his ministers a flame of fire’ But when he speaks of the Son, he says: ‘Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness more than your companions’. He also says: ‘You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands; they will perish, but you remain; and they will all grow old like a garment; like a cloak you will fold them up, and they will be changed. But you are the same, and your years will not fail’. But does he ever say this of any of the angels: ‘Sit at my right hand, till I make your enemies your footstool?’ Surely the angels are no more than spirits in the service of God, commissioned to serve the heirs of God’s salvation.
¶ God, having spoken many times and in many ways in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

But to which of the angels has He ever said, “Sit at My right hand, Until I put Your enemies As a footstool for Your feet”?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?
Although God spoke long ago in many parts and in many ways to the fathers by the prophets,
in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the world,
who is the radiance of his glory and the representation of his essence, sustaining all things by the word of power. When he had made purification for sins through him, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
having become by so much better than the angels, by as much as he has inherited a more excellent name than theirs.
For to which of the angels did he ever say, “You are my son, today I have begotten you,” and again, “I will be his father, and he will be my son”?
And again, when he brings the firstborn into the world, he says, “And let all the angels of God worship him.”
And concerning the angels he says, “The one who makes his angels winds, and his servants a flame of fire,”
but concerning the Son, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the scepter of righteous is the scepter of your kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; because of this God, your God, has anointed you with the olive oil of joy more than your companions.
And, “You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the works of your hands;
they will perish, but you continue, and they will all become old like a garment,
and like a robe you will roll them up, and like a garment they will be changed; but you are the same, and your years will not run out.”
But to which of the angels has he ever said, “Sit down at my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”
Are they not all spirits engaged in special service, sent on assignment for the sake of those who are going to inherit salvation?
Long ago God spoke in many different ways to our fathers through the prophets, in visions, dreams, and even face to face, telling them little by little about his plans.
But now in these days he has spoken to us through his Son to whom he has given everything and through whom he made the world and everything there is.
God’s Son shines out with God’s glory, and all that God’s Son is and does marks him as God. He regulates the universe by the mighty power of his command. He is the one who died to cleanse us and clear our record of all sin, and then sat down in highest honor beside the great God of heaven.
Thus he became far greater than the angels, as proved by the fact that his name “Son of God,” which was passed on to him from his Father, is far greater than the names and titles of the angels.
For God never said to any angel, “You are my Son, and today I have given you the honor that goes with that name.” But God said it about Jesus. Another time he said, “I am his Father and he is my Son.” And still another time—when his firstborn Son came to earth—God said, “Let all the angels of God worship him.”
God speaks of his angels as messengers swift as the wind and as servants made of flaming fire;
but of his Son he says, “Your Kingdom, O God, will last forever and ever; its commands are always just and right.
You love right and hate wrong; so God, even your God, has poured out more gladness upon you than on anyone else.”
God also called him “Lord” when he said, “Lord, in the beginning you made the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.
They will disappear into nothingness, but you will remain forever. They will become worn out like old clothes,
and some day you will fold them up and replace them. But you yourself will never change, and your years will never end.”
And did God ever say to an angel, as he does to his Son, “Sit here beside me in honor until I crush all your enemies beneath your feet”?
No, for the angels are only spirit-messengers sent out to help and care for those who are to receive his salvation.
Going through a long line of prophets, God has been addressing our ancestors in different ways for centuries. Recently he spoke to us directly through his Son. By his Son, God created the world in the beginning, and it will all belong to the Son at the end. This Son perfectly mirrors God, and is stamped with God’s nature. He holds everything together by what he says—powerful words! After he finished the sacrifice for sins, the Son took his honored place high in the heavens right alongside God, far higher than any angel in rank and rule. Did God ever say to an angel, “You’re my Son; today I celebrate you” or “I’m his Father, he’s my Son”? When he presents his honored Son to the world, he says, “All angels must worship him.”
Regarding angels he says, The messengers are winds, the servants are tongues of fire.
But he says to the Son, You’re God, and on the throne for good; your rule makes everything right. You love it when things are right; you hate it when things are wrong. That is why God, your God, poured fragrant oil on your head, Marking you out as king, far above your dear companions.
And again to the Son, You, Master, started it all, laid earth’s foundations, then crafted the stars in the sky. Earth and sky will wear out, but not you; they become threadbare like an old coat; You’ll fold them up like a worn-out cloak, and lay them away on the shelf. But you’ll stay the same, year after year; you’ll never fade, you’ll never wear out.
And did he ever say anything like this to an angel? Sit alongside me here on my throne Until I make your enemies a stool for your feet.
Isn’t it obvious that all angels are sent to help out with those lined up to receive salvation?

His Son is the reflection of God’s glory and the exact likeness of God’s being. He holds everything together through his powerful words. After he had cleansed people from their sins, he received the highest position, the one next to the Father in heaven.
But God never said to any of the angels, “Sit in the highest position in heaven until I make your enemies your footstool.”
What are all the angels? They are spirits sent to serve those who are going to receive salvation.
In times past, God spoke in partial and various ways to our ancestors through the prophets;
in these last days, he spoke to us through a son, whom he made heir of all things and through whom he created the universe,
who is the refulgence of his glory, the very imprint of his being, and who sustains all things by his mighty word. When he had accomplished purification from sins, he took his seat at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
as far superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.
For to which of the angels did God ever say: “You are my son; this day I have begotten you”? Or again: “I will be a father to him, and he shall be a son to me”?
And again, when he leads the first-born into the world, he says: “Let all the angels of God worship him.”
Of the angels he says: “He makes his angels winds and his ministers a fiery flame”;
but of the Son: “Your throne, O God, stands forever and ever; and a righteous scepter is the scepter of your kingdom.
You loved justice and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, anointed you with the oil of gladness above your companions”;
and: “At the beginning, O Lord, you established the earth, and the heavens are the works of your hands.
They will perish, but you remain; and they will all grow old like a garment.
You will roll them up like a cloak, and like a garment they will be changed. But you are the same, and your years will have no end.”
But to which of the angels has he ever said: “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool”?
Are they not all ministering spirits sent to serve, for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?
God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways,
in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom He also made the world.
And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
having become so much better than the angels, to the extent that He has inherited a more excellent name than they.
For to which of the angels did He ever say, “You are My Son, Today I have fathered You”? And again, “I will be a Father to Him And He will be a Son to Me”?
And when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says, “And let all the angels of God worship Him.”
And regarding the angels He says, “He makes His angels winds, And His ministers a flame of fire.”
But regarding the Son He says, “Your throne, God, is forever and ever, And the scepter of righteousness is the scepter of His kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of joy above Your companions.”
And, “You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the works of Your hands;
They will perish, but You remain; And they all will wear out like a garment,
And like a robe You will roll them up; Like a garment they will also be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not come to an end.”
But to which of the angels has He ever said, “Sit at My right hand, Until I make Your enemies A footstool for Your feet”?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to provide service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?
God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways,
in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.
And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they.

And when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says, “And let all the angels of God worship Him.”
And of the angels He says, “Who makes His angels winds, And His ministers a flame of fire.”
But of the Son He says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, And the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness above Your companions.”
And, “You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the works of Your hands;
They will perish, but You remain; And they all will become old like a garment,
And like a mantle You will roll them up; Like a garment they will also be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not come to an end.”
But to which of the angels has He ever said, “Sit at My right hand, Until I make Your enemies A footstool for Your feet”?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?
In previous times, God spoke to our ancestors in many and various ways through the Prophets,
but in these last days he has spoken to us through his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things and through whom he created the universe.
He is the reflection of God’s glory and the perfect expression of his very being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. Achieving purification from sins, he took his seat at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
So he became as far superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.
For to which of the angels did God ever say, “You are my Son; this day I have begotten you”? Or again, “I will be his Father, and he will be my Son”?
And again, when he brings his firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all the angels of God pay him homage.”
Of the angels he says, “He makes his angels winds, and his servants flames of fire.”
But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, and a righteous scepter is the scepter of your kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and detested wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness far above your companions.”
He also says, “In the beginning, O Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands
They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment.
You will roll them up like a cloak; like a garment they will be changed. But you are ever the same, and your years will have no end.”
But to which of the angels has he ever said, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool”?
Are not all angels ministering spirits sent forth to serve for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?
In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets many times and in many different ways.
But now in these last days God has spoken to us through his Son. God has chosen his Son to own all things, and through him he made the world.
The Son reflects the glory of God and shows exactly what God is like. He holds everything together with his powerful word. When the Son made people clean from their sins, he sat down at the right side of God, the Great One in heaven.
The Son became much greater than the angels, and God gave him a name that is much greater than theirs.
You love right and hate evil, so God has chosen you from among your friends; he has set you apart with much joy.” Psalm 45:6–7
God also says, “Lord, in the beginning you made the earth, and your hands made the skies.
They will be destroyed, but you will remain. They will all wear out like clothes.
You will fold them like a coat. And, like clothes, you will change them. But you never change, and your life will never end.” Psalm 102:25–27
And God never said this to an angel: “Sit by me at my right side until I put your enemies under your control.”Psalm 110:1
All the angels are spirits who serve God and are sent to help those who will receive salvation.
After God spoke long ago in various portions and in various ways to our ancestors through the prophets,
in these last days he has spoken to us in a son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he created the world.
The Son is the radiance of his glory and the representation of his essence, and he sustains all things by his powerful word, and so when he had accomplished cleansing for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
Thus he became so far better than the angels as he has inherited a name superior to theirs.
For to which of the angels did God ever say, “You are my son! Today I have fathered you”? And in another place he says, “I will be his father and he will be my son.”
But when he again brings his firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all the angels of God worship him!
And he says of the angels, “He makes his angels winds and his ministers a flame of fire,”
but of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, and a righteous scepter is the scepter of your kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness. So God, your God, has anointed you over your companions with the oil of rejoicing.”
And, “You founded the earth in the beginning, Lord, and the heavens are the works of your hands.
They will perish, but you continue. And they will all grow old like a garment,
and like a robe you will fold them up and like a garment they will be changed, but you are the same and your years will never run out.”
But to which of the angels has he ever said, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to serve those who will inherit salvation?
In the past, God spoke to our people through the prophets. He spoke at many times. He spoke in different ways.
But in these last days, he has spoken to us through his Son. He is the one whom God appointed to receive all things. God also made everything through him.
The Son is the shining brightness of God’s glory. He is the exact likeness of God’s being. He uses his powerful word to hold all things together. He provided the way for people to be made pure from sin. Then he sat down at the right hand of the King, the Majesty in heaven.
So he became higher than the angels. The name he received is more excellent than theirs.
God never said to any of the angels, “You are my Son. Today I have become your Father.” (Psalm 2:7) Or, “I will be his Father. And he will be my Son.” (2 Samuel 7:14; 1 Chronicles 17:13)
God’s first and only Son is over all things. When God brings him into the world, he says, “Let all God’s angels worship him.” (Deuteronomy 32:43)
Here is something else God says about the angels. “God makes his angels to be like spirits. He makes those who serve him to be like flashes of lightning.” (Psalm 104:4)
But here is what he says about the Son. “You are God. Your throne will last for ever and ever. Your kingdom will be ruled by justice.
You have loved what is right and hated what is evil. So your God has placed you above your companions. He has filled you with joy by pouring the sacred oil on your head.” (Psalm 45:6,7)
He also says, “Lord, in the beginning you made the earth secure. You placed it on its foundations. The heavens are the work of your hands.
They will pass away. But you remain. They will all wear out like a piece of clothing.
You will roll them up like a robe. They will be changed as a person changes clothes. But you remain the same. Your years will never end.” (Psalm 102:25–27)
God never said to an angel, “Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your control.” (Psalm 110:1)
All angels are spirits who serve. God sends them to serve those who will receive salvation.
In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways,

God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,
has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;
who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?
Long ago God spoke to our early fathers in many different ways. He spoke through the early preachers.
But in these last days He has spoken to us through His Son. God gave His Son everything. It was by His Son that God made the world.
The Son shines with the shining-greatness of the Father. The Son is as God is in every way. It is the Son Who holds up the whole world by the power of His Word. The Son gave His own life so we could be clean from all sin. After He had done that, He sat down on the right side of God in heaven.
The Son of God was made greater and better than the angels. God gave Him a greater name than theirs.
God did not say to any of His angels, “You are My Son. Today I have become Your Father.” And He did not say to any angel, “I will be a Father to Him. He will be a Son to Me.”
But when God brought His first-born Son, Jesus, into the world, He said, “Let all the angels of God worship Him.”
He said this about the angels, “He makes His angels to be winds. He makes His servants a burning fire.”
But about His Son, He says, “O God, Your throne will last forever. Whatever You say in Your nation is right and good.
You have loved what is right. You have hated what is wrong. That is why God, Your God, has chosen You. He has poured over You the oil of joy more than over anyone else.”
He said also, “Lord, You made the earth in the beginning. You made the heavens with Your hands.
They will be destroyed but You will always be here. They will all become old just as clothes become old.
You will roll up the heavens like a coat. They will be changed. But You are always the same. You will never grow old.”
God never said to any angel, “Sit at My right side, until I make those who hate You a place to rest Your feet.”
Are not all the angels spirits who work for God? They are sent out to help those who are to be saved from the punishment of sin.
Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets.
And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe.
The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.
This shows that the Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave him is greater than their names.
For God never said to any angel what he said to Jesus: “You are my Son. Today I have become your Father.” God also said, “I will be his Father, and he will be my Son.”
And when he brought his supreme Son into the world, God said, “Let all of God’s angels worship him.”
Regarding the angels, he says, “He sends his angels like the winds, his servants like flames of fire.”
But to the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter of justice.
You love justice and hate evil. Therefore, O God, your God has anointed you, pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.”
He also says to the Son, “In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands.
They will perish, but you remain forever. They will wear out like old clothing.
You will fold them up like a cloak and discard them like old clothing. But you are always the same; you will live forever.”
And God never said to any of the angels, “Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet.”
Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.
God in time past diversely and many ways spoke to the fathers by the prophets.
But in these last days, he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he has made heir of all things; by whom also he made the world.
Which Son, being the brightness of his glory and very image of his substance, bearing up all things with the word of his power, has in his own person purged our sins, and is seated on the right hand of the Majesty on high,
and is more excellent than the angels, inasmuch as he has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
For to which of the angels did he say at any time: You are my Son; this day I have begotten you? And again: I will be his Father, and he shall be my Son.
And again, when he brings the first begotten Son into the world, he says: And all the angels of God shall worship him.
And of the angels he says: He makes his angels spirits, and his ministers flames of fire.
But to the Son he says: O God, your seat shall be for ever and ever. The sceptre of your kingdom is a right sceptre.
You have loved righteousness and hated iniquity; therefore God, who is your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.
And: You, Lord, in the beginning, laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the works of your hands.
They shall perish, but you shall endure. They all will grow old as does a garment,
and as a vesture you will change them, and they will be changed. But you are always, and your years shall not fail.
To which of the angels did he say at any time: Sit on my right hand, till I make your enemies your footstool?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent to minister for the sakes of those who will be heirs of salvation?
Long ago God spoke to our ancestors in many and various ways by the prophets,

In many ways and by many means God spoke in ancient times to our ancestors in the prophets;
but at the end of these days he spoke to us in a son. He appointed this son to be heir of all things; through him, in addition, he created the worlds.
He is the shining reflection of God’s own glory, the precise expression of his own very being; he sustains all things through his powerful word. He accomplished the cleansing needed for sins, and sat down at the right of the Majesty Supreme.
See how much greater he is than the angels: the name he is granted is finer than theirs.
For to which angel did God ever say, “You are my son, today I became your father”? Or, again, “I will be his father, and he will be my son”?
Again, when God brings the firstborn son into the world, he says, Let all God’s angels worship him.
In relation to the angels, this is what it says: God makes his angels spirits, and his servants flames of fire.
In relation to the son, however, it says, Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom;
you loved justice and hated lawlessness, therefore God, your God, anointed you with the oil of gladness, as superior to your comrades.
And, again: You established the earth, O Lord, from the beginning; and the heavens are the works of your hands;
they will be destroyed, but you will remain; all of them will grow old like clothing,
you will roll them up like a cloak, and they will be changed like clothing. But you are the same, and your years will never give out.
But to which of the angels did God ever say, Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies a stool for your feet?
Must we not say, then, that the angels are all servant spirits, sent to act on behalf of those who are to inherit salvation?
In many and various drakhim (ways) Hashem in amolike times (olden times) spoke to the Avot by the Nevi’im.
At the Ketz HaYamim, Hashem spoke to us by HaBen, whom He appointed Bechor of the Bechorah, Yoresh Kol (Heir of All Things), through whom also Hashem BARAH ES HASHOMAYIM V’ES HA’ARETZ (see Prov 30:4);
Who being the Shechinah zohar (brilliance) of Hashem and the exact impress and demut of Hashem’s essential nature, being, and reality, and sustaining everything by his Dvar HaKo’ach, after he made tihur (purification) of chatta’im (sins), sat down at LIMIN ("the right hand" TEHILLIM 110:1) of the Majesty on High.
He had become as much superior to the malachim as ha-Shem (the Name) Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach has inherited is more fest (excellent) than theirs.
For to which of the malachim did Hashem ever say, BENI ATAH, ANI HAYOM YELIDTICHA, ("My Son you are; today I have become your Father." TEHILLIM 2:7)? And again, ANI EH’H’YEH LO L’AV V’HU YIHEYEH LI L’BEN ("I will be to Him a Father and He will be to Me as a Son," SHMUEL BAIS 7:14)?
And again, when Hashem brings HaBechor into the Olam Hazeh, He says, "Let all Hashem’s malachim worship him." [DEVARIM 32:43 TARGUM HA-SHIVIM]
And of the malachim, Hashem says OSEH MALAKHAV RUCHOT MESHARTAV EISH L’HET ("He makes his angels winds and his servants [ministering angels] flaming fire," TEHILLIM 104:4).
And Hashem says to HaBen, KIS’AHCHA ELOHIM OLAM VAED SHEVET MISHOR SHEVET MALKHUTECHA ("Your throne, O G-d, will endure for ever and ever, and the scepter of justice is the scepter of your kingdom"‖TEHILLIM 45:7).
AHAVTA TZEDEK VATISNA RE’SHA, AL KEN MESHAKHACHA ELOHIM, ELOHECHA SHEMEN SASSON MECHAVERECHA ("You loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; on account of this G-d, your G-d, anointed you with the oil of gladness more than your companions"—TEHILLIM 45:8).
And "Atah Adonoi LEFANIM HA’ARETZ YASADETA UMA’ASEH YADECHA SHOMAYIM; HEMMAH YOVEDU V’ATAH TA’AMOD V’KHULAM KABEGED YIVLU KALVUSH TACHALIFEM V’YACHALOFU V’ATAH HU USHENOTECHA LO YITTAMMU" ("You L-rd in the beginning founded the earth and the heavens, the work of your hands;
They will perish but you remain and all of them like the garment they will wear out,
Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded, but you are the same and the years of you they never come to an end" TEHILLIM 102:26-28 [25-27]).
And to which of the malachim has Hashem ever said, "Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies as a footstool for your feet"‖TEHILLIM 110:1)?
Are not all RUCHOT [TEHILLIM 104:4] sharet (ministering spirits, malachey hasharet) sent out with the shlichus (mission) to do avodas kodesh service as Hashem’s klei kodesh (ministers) on behalf of the ones being about to inherit Yeshua’at Eloheinu?
Long ago, at various times and in diverse ways, God spoke to our fathers by the Prophets. In these last days, He has spoken to us by His Son,
Whom He has made heir of all things. Through Whom He also made the world.
He, being the brightness of the glory and the engraved form of His person and bearing up all things by His mighty word, has purged our sins through Himself. And He sits at the right hand of the Majesty in the Highest Places.
And He is made so much more excellent than the angels, inasmuch as He has obtained a more excellent Name than they.
For to which of the angels has He said at any time, “You are My Son. This day I begat You.”? And again, “I will be His Father, and He shall be My Son.”?
And again, when He brings in His first begotten Son into the world, He says, “And let all the angels of God worship Him.”
And of the angels, He says, “He makes the spirits His messengers, and his ministers a flame of fire.”
But to the Son, He says, “O God, Your throne is forever and ever. The scepter of Your Kingdom is a scepter of righteousness.
“You have loved righteousness and hated iniquity. Therefore God - even Your God - has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your associates.”
And, “You, Lord, established the earth in the beginning. And the heavens are the works of Your hands.
“They shall perish, but You remain. And they all shall grow old, as does a garment,
“And as a cloak, You shall fold them up. And they shall be changed. But You are the same. And Your years shall not fail.
Also, to which of the angels has He said at any time, “Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for the sakes of those who shall be heirs of salvation?
In many and various ways God spoke of old to our fathers by the prophets;
but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.
He reflects the glory of God and bears the very stamp of his nature, upholding the universe by his word of power. When he had made purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
having become as much superior to angels as the name he has obtained is more excellent than theirs.

Of the angels he says, “Who makes his angels winds, and his servants flames of fire.”
But of the Son he says, “Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever, the righteous scepter is the scepter of thy kingdom.
Thou hast loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, thy God, has anointed thee with the oil of gladness beyond thy comrades.”
And, “Thou, Lord, didst found the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of thy hands;
they will perish, but thou remainest; they will all grow old like a garment,
like a mantle thou wilt roll them up, and they will be changed. But thou art the same, and thy years will never end.”
But to what angel has he ever said, “Sit at my right hand till I make thy enemies a stool for thy feet”?
Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to serve, for the sake of those who are to obtain salvation?

At many times and in many ways, God spoke long ago to the fathers through the prophets.
In these last days He has spoken to us through a Son, whom He appointed heir of all things and through whom He created the universe.
This Son is the radiance of His glory and the imprint of His being, upholding all things by His powerful word. When He had made purification for our sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
Thus He became as far above the angels as the name He has inherited is more excellent than theirs.
For to which of the angels did God ever say, “You are My Son. Today I have become Your Father”? And again, “I will be to Him a Father, and He will be to Me a Son”?

And regarding the angels He says, “He makes His angels winds, and His servants a flame of fire.”
But regarding the Son He says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, and a scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Your Kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your companions.”
And, “In the beginning, Adonai, You laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the works of Your hands.
They shall pass away, but You remain. And they will all wear out like clothing.
And like a robe You will roll them up, and like clothing they will be changed; but You are the same, and Your years shall never end.”
But to which of the angels has He ever said, “Sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet”?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out for service to those about to inherit salvation?
Long ago, at different times and in various ways, God’s voice came to our ancestors through the Hebrew prophets.
But in these last days, it has come to us through His Son, the One who has been given dominion over all things and through whom all worlds were made.
This is the One who—imprinted with God’s image, shimmering with His glory—sustains all that exists through the power of His word. He was seated at the right hand of God once He Himself had made the offering that purified us from all our sins.
This Son of God is elevated as far above the heavenly messengers as His holy name is elevated above theirs.
For no heavenly messengers have ever heard God address them with these words of the psalms: You are My Son. Today I have become Your Father. Or heard Him promise, I will be to You a Father, and You will be My Son.
Now, when the Son, the firstborn of God, was brought into the world, God said, Let all My heavenly messengers worship Him.
Concerning them, God said, I make My heavenly messengers like the winds, and My servants like a flame.
But to the Son He said, God, Your throne is eternal; You will rule Your kingdom with the scepter of justice.
You have loved what is right and hated what is evil; That is why God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness and lifted You above Your companions.
And God continues, In the beginning, You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth and set the skies above us with Your own hands.
But while they will someday pass away, You remain forever; when they wear out like old clothes,
You will roll them up and change them into something new. But You will never change; Your years will never come to an end.
Did God ever say to any of the heavenly messengers, Sit here, at My right hand, in the seat of honor; and I’ll put all Your enemies under Your feet?
No, of course not. The heavenly messengers are only spirits and servants, sent out to minister to those who will certainly inherit salvation.
God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,
has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds.
His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, who, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high,
having become as much better than the angels as the more excellent name he has inherited is better than theirs.
For to which of the angels did he say at any time, “You are my Son. Today I have become your father?”Psalm 2:7 and again, “I will be to him a Father, and he will be to me a Son?”2 Samuel 7:14; 1 Chronicles 17:13
When he again brings in the firstborn into the world he says, “Let all the angels of God worship him.”Deuteronomy 32:43 LXX
Of the angels he says, “He makes his angels winds, and his servants a flame of fire.”Psalm 104:4
But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your Kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated iniquity; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.”Psalm 45:6-7
And, “You, Lord, in the beginning, laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the works of your hands.
They will perish, but you continue. They all will grow old like a garment does.
You will roll them up like a mantle, and they will be changed; but you are the same. Your years won’t fail.”Psalm 102:25-27
But which of the angels has he told at any time, “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet?”Psalm 110:1
Aren’t they all serving spirits, sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?
Long ago, God talked to our fathers through the prophets. He talked many times and in many ways.
In these last days, he talked to us through his Son. God chose him to be the one to whom he would give all things. God also made the world by this Son.
He shines as bright as God. He is just like God himself. He holds up the world by the power of his word. He made people clean from their wrong ways. Then he sat down beside God in heaven.
He is much greater than the angels because God has given him a much better name than theirs.
Did God ever say to any of the angels, `You are my Son, and I am your Father today'? Did God ever say to an angel, `I will be your Father and you will be my Son'?
When God brings his first-born Son into the world, he says, `All of God's angels must worship him.'
Here is what he says about the angels: `God makes his angels to be like the winds. He makes his helpers to be like flames of fire.'
But here is what God says about his Son: `O God, you will sit and rule for ever. You will rule in the right way.
You have loved what is good and you have hated what is wrong. That is why God has poured out happiness on you, more than on those who are with you.'
He also said, `Lord, you made the world in the beginning. The sky was made by your hands.
These things will come to an end, but you will live on. They will all wear out like clothes.
You will fold up the world and the sky as if they were a blanket. They will not stay as they are now. But you will always be as you are now. The years of your life will never end.'
But did God ever say to any of the angels, `Sit down beside me until I put your enemies under you'?
Are not all the angels spirits that help? They are sent out to help the people who will be saved.
God, that spake sometime by prophets in many manners to our fathers,
at the last in these days he hath spoken to us by the Son; whom he hath ordained heir of all things, and by whom he made the worlds.
Which when also he is the brightness of glory, and [the] figure of his substance, and beareth all things [and bearing all things] by word of his virtue, he maketh purgation of sins, and sitteth on the right half of the majesty in heavens [sitteth on the right half of majesty in high things];
and so much is made better than angels, by how much he hath inherited a more diverse name [a more different, or excellent, name] before them.
For to which of the angels said God any time, Thou art my Son, I have engendered thee to day [I have to day gendered thee]? And again, I shall be to him into a Father, and he shall be to me into a Son?
And when again he bringeth in the first begotten Son into the world [And when again he bringeth in the first begotten into the roundness of the earth], he saith, And all the angels of God worship him.
But he saith to angels [And soothly to angels he saith], He that maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers flame of fire.
But to the Son he saith, God, thy throne is into the world of world [into the world of worlds]; a rod of equity is the rod of thy realm;
thou hast loved rightwiseness, and hatedest wickedness; therefore the God, thy God, anointed thee with oil of joy [therefore God, thy God, anointed thee with oil of gladness, or joy], more than thy fellows.
And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning foundedest the earth, and heavens be works of thine hands;
they shall perish, but thou shalt perfectly dwell; and all shall wax old as a cloak [as a cloth],
and thou shalt change them as a cloak [as a cloth], and they shall be changed. But thou art the same thyself, and thy years shall not fail.
But to which of the angels said God at any time, Sit thou on my right half, till I put thine enemies a stool of thy feet?
Whether they all be not serving spirits, sent to serve for them [sent into ministry for them] that take the heritage of health?
In many parts, and many ways, God of old having spoken to the fathers in the prophets,
in these last days did speak to us in a Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He did make the ages;
who being the brightness of the glory, and the impress of His subsistence, bearing up also the all things by the saying of his might -- through himself having made a cleansing of our sins, sat down at the right hand of the greatness in the highest,
having become so much better than the messengers, as he did inherit a more excellent name than they.
For to which of the messengers said He ever, `My Son thou art -- I to-day have begotten thee?' and again, `I will be to him for a father, and he shall be to Me for a son?'
and when again He may bring in the first-born to the world, He saith, `And let them bow before him -- all messengers of God;'
and unto the messengers, indeed, He saith, `Who is making His messengers spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire;'
and unto the Son: `Thy throne, O God, [is] to the age of the age; a scepter of righteousness [is] the scepter of thy reign;
thou didst love righteousness, and didst hate lawlessness; because of this did He anoint thee -- God, thy God -- with oil of gladness above thy partners;'
and, `Thou, at the beginning, Lord, the earth didst found, and a work of thy hands are the heavens;
these shall perish, and Thou dost remain, and all, as a garment, shall become old,
and as a mantle Thou shall roll them together, and they shall be changed, and Thou art the same, and Thy years shall not fail.'
And unto which of the messengers said He ever, `Sit at My right hand, till I may make thine enemies thy footstool?'
are they not all spirits of service -- for ministration being sent forth because of those about to inherit salvation?
