Ephesians 5:29
Print
For no man ever yet hated his own flesh, but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church.
for no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as Christ also the church;
For no one ever hated his own body, but [instead] he nourishes and protects and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church,
For no man ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and carefully protects and cherishes it, as Christ does the church,
For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
For no one ever hates his own flesh but provides and cares for it, just as Christ does for the church,
No one ever hates his own body, but feeds it and takes care of it just like Christ does for the church
Why, no one ever hated his own flesh! On the contrary, he feeds it well and takes care of it, just as the Messiah does the Messianic Community,
None of us hate our own bodies. We provide for them and take good care of them, just as Christ does for the church,
For no one has ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as also the Christ the assembly:
For no one ever hated his own flesh, but he nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church,
For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, as also Christ doth the church:
because no one ever hates his own body, but feeds and takes care of it. And that is what Christ does for the church
There is nobody who hates his own body. Everyone feeds his body and he takes care of it. In the same way, the church is like Christ's body that he takes care of.
To be sure, no one has ever hated his own body, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church,
For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church,
For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church,
[L For] No one ever hates his own ·body [T flesh], but feeds and takes care of it. And that is what Christ does for the church,
For no man ever yet hated his own flesh, but nourished and cherisheth it, even as the Lord doth the Church.
No one ever hated his own body. Instead, he feeds and takes care of it, as Christ takes care of the church.
( None of us ever hate our own bodies. Instead, we feed them, and take care of them, just as Christ does the church;
For no one ever hates his own flesh but provides and cares for it, just as Christ does for the church,
No person ever hates his own body, but feeds and takes care of it. And that is what Christ does for the church,
For no one has ever hated his own body, but he nourishes and tenderly cares for it, as the Messiah does the church.
Men ought to give their wives the love they naturally have for their own bodies. The love a man gives his wife is the extending of his love for himself to enfold her. Nobody ever hates or neglects his own body; he feeds and looks after it. And that is what Christ does for his body, the Church. And we are all members of that body, we are his flesh and blood! ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’. The marriage relationship is doubtless a great mystery, but I am speaking of something deeper still—the marriage of Christ and his Church. In practice what I have said amounts to this: let every one of you who is a husband love his wife as he loves himself; let the wife reverence her husband.
For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it even as the Lord with his congregation. {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones}
For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church,
For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as also Christ does the church,
No one hates his own body but lovingly cares for it, just as Christ cares for his body the Church, of which we are parts.
No one abuses his own body, does he? No, he feeds and pampers it. That’s how Christ treats us, the church, since we are part of his body. And this is why a man leaves father and mother and cherishes his wife. No longer two, they become “one flesh.” This is a huge mystery, and I don’t pretend to understand it all. What is clearest to me is the way Christ treats the church. And this provides a good picture of how each husband is to treat his wife, loving himself in loving her, and how each wife is to honor her husband.
For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord cares for the church.
for no one ever hates · his own body but nourishes and takes care of it, just as · · Christ does the church,
No one ever hated his own body. Instead, he feeds and takes care of it, as Christ takes care of the church.
For no one hates his own flesh but rather nourishes and cherishes it, even as Christ does the church,
for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church,
for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church,
For no one ever hates his own body; rather, he nourishes it and cares for it, even as Christ does for the Church,
No one ever hates his own body, but feeds and takes care of it. And that is what Christ does for the church,
For no one has ever hated his own body, but he feeds it and takes care of it, just as Christ also does the church,
After all, no one ever hated their own body. Instead, they feed and care for their body. And this is what Christ does for the church.
After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church—
After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church –
For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church.
No man hates himself. He takes care of his own body. That is the way Christ does. He cares for His body which is the church.
No one hates his own body but feeds and cares for it, just as Christ cares for the church.
For no man ever yet hated his own flesh, but cares for and cherishes it, even as the Lord does the congregation.
For no one ever hates his own body, but he nourishes and tenderly cares for it, just as Christ does for the church,
For no one ever hates his own body, but he nourishes and tenderly cares for it, just as Christ does for the church,
For no one ever hates his own body, but he nourishes and tenderly cares for it, just as Christ does for the church,
For no one ever hates his own flesh, but he nourishes and tenderly cares for it, just as Christ does for the church,
After all, nobody ever hates his own flesh: he feeds it and takes care of it, just as the Messiah does with the church,
For no one ever had sin’as chinom for his own basar but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach also does the Brit Chadasha Kehillah,
For no one ever yet hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord does the Church.
For no man ever hates his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, as Christ does the church,
For no man ever hates his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, as Christ does the church,
For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it—just as Messiah also does His community,
No one really hates his own body; he takes care to feed and love it, just as the Anointed takes care of His church,
For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly;
No one ever hated his own body. But he feeds it and takes care of it.
for no man hated ever his own flesh, but nourisheth and fostereth it, as [and] Christ doeth the church.
for no one ever his own flesh did hate, but doth nourish and cherish it, as also the Lord -- the assembly,
