And the men who journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice but seeing no man.

And the Lord said to him: Arise, and go into the city, and there it shall be told thee what thou must do. Now the men who went in company with him, stood amazed, hearing indeed a voice, but seeing no man.
The men traveling with Saul just stood there, unable to speak. They heard the voice, but they saw no one.
The men who were travelling with Saul stood still. They could not say anything. They could hear that someone was speaking. But they could not see anyone.

His companions on the journey stood there speechless, for they had heard the voice but could see no one. Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing. So they took him by the hand and led him into Damascus. There he remained sightless for three days, and during that time he had nothing either to eat or drink.
And the men who journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing indeed the voice, but seeing no one.

The men with Paul stood speechless with surprise, for they heard the sound of someone’s voice but saw no one!
His companions stood there dumbstruck—they could hear the sound, but couldn’t see anyone—while Saul, picking himself up off the ground, found himself stone-blind. They had to take him by the hand and lead him into Damascus. He continued blind for three days. He ate nothing, drank nothing.

And those men that went with him, stood astonished; for they heard a voice, but they saw no man. [Forsooth those men that went with him, stood made afeared, or out of mind; soothly hearing a voice, forsooth seeing no man.]
