but if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it, lest it may happen ye be found even to fight against God.”
but if it is of God, ye will not be able to overthrow them; lest haply ye be found even to be fighting against God.
but if it is of God [and it appears that it is], you will not be able to stop them; or else you may even be found fighting against God!”
But if it is of God, you will not be able to stop or overthrow or destroy them; you might even be found fighting against God!
But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.
but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You may even be found fighting against God.” They were persuaded by him.
If it originates with God, you won’t be able to stop them. Instead, you would actually find yourselves fighting God!” The council was convinced by his reasoning.
But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop them; you might even find yourselves fighting God!” They heeded his advice.
But if God is behind it, you cannot stop it anyway, unless you want to fight against God. The council members agreed with what he said,
but if it be from God, ye will not be able to put them down, lest ye be found also fighters against God.
but if it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them— that you indeed may not perhaps be found to be fighting-against-God”. And they were persuaded by him.
But if it be of God, you cannot overthrow it, lest perhaps you be found even to fight against God. And they consented to him.
But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop them. You might even be fighting against God himself!” The Jewish leaders agreed with what Gamaliel said.
But perhaps what they are doing really does come from God himself. If that is true, then you cannot stop them. You might even find that you are fighting against God!’
But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop them. Perhaps you might even be found to be fighting against God!”
but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You might even be found opposing God!” So they took his advice,
but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You might even be found opposing God!” So they took his advice,
But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop them. You might even ·be [find yourselves] fighting against God himself!” The leaders ·agreed with [were convinced by] what Gamaliel said.
But if it be of God, ye cannot destroy it, lest ye be found even fighters against God.
However, if it’s from God, you won’t be able to stop them. You may even discover that you’re fighting against God.”
but if it comes from God, you cannot possibly defeat them. You could find yourselves fighting against God!” The Council followed Gamaliel's advice.
but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You may even be found fighting against God.” So they were persuaded by him.
But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop them. You might even be fighting against God himself!” The Jewish leaders agreed with what Gamaliel said.
However, if it’s from God, you won’t be able to stop them, and you may even discover that you are fighting against God!” So they were convinced by him.
When the members of the council heard these words they were so furious that they wanted to kill them. But one man stood up in the assembly, a Pharisee by the name of Gamaliel, a teacher of the Law who was held in great respect by the people and gave orders for the apostles to be taken outside for a few minutes. Then he addressed the assembly: “Men of Israel, be very careful of what action you intend to take against these men! Remember that some time ago a man called Theudas made himself conspicuous by claiming to be someone or other, and he had a following of four hundred men. He was killed, all his followers were dispersed, and the movement came to nothing. Then later, in the days of the census, that man Judas from Galilee appeared and enticed many of the people to follow him. But he too died and his whole following melted away. My advice to you now therefore is to let these men alone; leave them to themselves. For if this teaching or movement is merely human it will collapse of its own accord. But if it should be from God you cannot defeat them, and you might actually find yourselves to be fighting against God!”
but if it is of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest ye be found fighting against God.
But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.
but if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.
but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them; or you may even be found fighting against God.”
But if it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them, lest you even be found fighting against God.” So they were persuaded by him.
But if it is of God, you will not be able to stop them, lest you find yourselves fighting even against God.”
“So I am telling you: Hands off these men! Let them alone. If this program or this work is merely human, it will fall apart, but if it is of God, there is nothing you can do about it—and you better not be found fighting against God!”
But if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them, lest perhaps you be found even fighting against God.”
but if it is of God, you will not be able to stop them; lest you be found also opposing God!” They were persuaded · by him,
However, if it’s from God, you won’t be able to stop them. You may even discover that you’re fighting against God.”
But if it comes from God, you will not be able to destroy them; you may even find yourselves fighting against God.” They were persuaded by him.
but if the source is God, you will not be able to overthrow them; or else you may even be found fighting against God.”
but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them; or else you may even be found fighting against God.”
If, however, it comes from God, you will never be able to overcome them, but may find yourselves fighting against God.” His words persuaded them.
But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop them. You might even be fighting against God himself!” The leaders agreed with what Gamaliel said.
but if it is from God, you will not be able to stop them, or you may even be found fighting against God.” He convinced them,
But if their plans come from God, you won’t be able to stop these men. You will only find yourselves fighting against God.”
But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.”
But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.’
but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it—lest you even be found to fight against God.”
If it is from God, you will not be able to stop it. You may even find yourselves fighting against God.”
But if it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You may even find yourselves fighting against God!”
But if it is of God, you cannot destroy it, and you might even be found to be striving against God.
but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them—in that case you may even be found fighting against God!’ They were convinced by him,
but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them—in that case you may even be found fighting against God!’ They were convinced by him,
but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them—in that case you may even be found fighting against God!” They were convinced by him,
but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them—in that case you may even be found fighting against God!” They were convinced by him,
But if it’s from God—well, you won’t be able to stop them. You might even be found to be fighting against God!” They were persuaded by him,
"But if it is from Hashem, you are not able to overthrow them—in that case you may even be found to be fighting keneged (against, opposing) Hashem." And they were persuaded by Rabban Gamli’el. [2Ch 13:12; Prov 21:30; Isa 46:10]
“But if it be of God, you cannot destroy it. For you would be found fighting against God as well.”
but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You might even be found opposing God!”
but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You might even be found opposing God!”
but if it is of God, you will not be able to stop them. You might even be found fighting against God.” They took his advice,
But then again, if God is in this, you won’t be able to stop it—unless, of course, you’re ready to fight against God!
But if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow it, and you would be found even to be fighting against God!”
o now, I say, do nothing to these men. Leave them alone. If this is the teaching or work of men, it will come to an end. But if it is of God, you cannot stop these men. You might even be fighting against God!'
but if it is of God, ye be not able to undo them, lest peradventure ye be found to repugn against God. [forsooth if it is of God, ye be not able to undo them, lest peradventure and ye be found for to repugn God.]
and if it be of God, ye are not able to overthrow it, lest perhaps also ye be found fighting against God.'
