Some therefore cried one thing and some another, for the assembly was in confusion, and the greater part knew not why they had come together.
Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was in confusion; and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.
Now some shouted one thing and some another, for the gathering was in confusion and most of the people did not know why they had come together.
Now some shouted one thing and some another, for the gathering was in a tumult and most of them did not know why they had come together.
Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused; and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.
Some were shouting one thing and some another, because the assembly was in confusion, and most of them did not know why they had come together.
Meanwhile, the assembly was in a state of confusion. Some shouted one thing, others shouted something else, and most of the crowd didn’t know why they had gathered.
Meanwhile, some were shouting one thing and others something else, because the assembly was in complete confusion, and the great majority didn’t even know why they were there.
Some of the people in the meeting were shouting one thing, and others were shouting something else. Everyone was completely confused, and most of them did not even know why they were there.
Different persons therefore cried out some different thing; for the assembly was tumultuous, and the most did not know for what cause they had come together.
Then indeed, other ones were crying-out another thing. For the assembly was confused, and the majority did not know for what reason they had come together.
Now some cried one thing, some another. For the assembly was confused, and the greater part knew not for what cause they were come together.
Some people were shouting one thing and others were shouting something else. The meeting was very confused. Most of the people did not know why they had come there.
The crowd of people in the meeting place continued to shout loudly. Some people were shouting one thing and other people were shouting something different. Not many of the people even knew why they had all met together.
Some were shouting one thing, others another, because the assembly was in confusion. Most of them did not even know why they had come together.
Now some cried out one thing, some another, for the assembly was in confusion, and most of them did not know why they had come together.
Now some cried out one thing, some another, for the assembly was in confusion, and most of them did not know why they had come together.
Some people were shouting one thing, and some were shouting another. The ·meeting [assembly] was completely confused; most of them did not know why they had come together.
Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was out of order, and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.
Some people shouted one thing while others shouted something else. The crowd was confused. Most of the people didn’t even know why they had come together.
Meanwhile the whole meeting was in an uproar: some people were shouting one thing, others were shouting something else, because most of them did not even know why they had come together.
Meanwhile, some were shouting one thing and some another, because the assembly was in confusion, and most of them did not know why they had come together.
Some people were shouting one thing, and some were shouting another. The meeting was completely confused. Most of the people did not know why they had come together.
Meanwhile, some were shouting one thing and some another, since the crowd was confused, and most of them didn’t know why they were meeting.
Soon the whole city was in an uproar, and on a common impulse the people rushed into the theatre dragging with them Gaius and Aristarchus, two Macedonians who were Paul’s travelling companions. Paul himself wanted to go in among the crowd, but the disciples would not allow him. Moreover, some high-ranking officials who were Paul’s friends sent to him begging him not to risk himself in the theatre. Meanwhile some were shouting one thing and some another, and the whole assembly was at sixes and sevens, for most of them had no idea why they had come together at all. A man called Alexander whom the Jews put forward was pushed into the forefront of the crowd, and there, after making a gesture with his hand, he tried to make a speech of defence to the people. but as soon as they realised that he was a Jew they shouted as one man for about two hours, “Great is Diana of the Ephesians!”
Some therefore cried one thing, and some another, for the assembly was confused; and most of them did not know why they were come together.
Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused: and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.
Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused; and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.
So then, some were shouting one thing and some another, for the meeting was in confusion and the majority did not know for what reason they had come together.
So some were shouting one thing and some another, for the assembly was in confusion, and the majority did not know why they had assembled.
Inside the people were all shouting, some one thing and some another—everything was in confusion. In fact, most of them didn’t even know why they were there.
Some were yelling one thing, some another. Most of them had no idea what was going on or why they were there. As the Jews pushed Alexander to the front to try to gain control, different factions clamored to get him on their side. But he brushed them off and quieted the mob with an impressive sweep of his arms. But the moment he opened his mouth and they knew he was a Jew, they shouted him down: “Great Artemis of the Ephesians! Great Artemis of the Ephesians!”—on and on and on, for over two hours.
The assembly was confused. Therefore some cried out one thing and some another, and most of them did not know why they had come together.
So then some were shouting one thing, some another, for the assembly was in confusion, and · most of them did not know why they had assembled.
Some people shouted one thing while others shouted something else. The crowd was confused. Most of the people didn’t even know why they had come together.
Meanwhile, some were shouting one thing, others something else; the assembly was in chaos, and most of the people had no idea why they had come together.
So then, some were shouting one thing and some another, for the assembly was in confusion and the majority did not know for what reason they had come together.
So then, some were shouting one thing and some another, for the assembly was in confusion and the majority did not know for what reason they had come together.

Some people were shouting one thing, and some were shouting another. The meeting was completely confused; most of them did not know why they had come together.
So then some were shouting one thing, some another, for the assembly was in confusion, and most of them did not know why they had met together.
The crowd didn’t know what was going on. Some were shouting one thing and some another. Most of the people didn’t even know why they were there.
The assembly was in confusion: Some were shouting one thing, some another. Most of the people did not even know why they were there.
The assembly was in confusion: some were shouting one thing, some another. Most of the people did not even know why they were there.
Some therefore cried one thing and some another, for the assembly was confused, and most of them did not know why they had come together.
All this time some were crying out one thing and some another. The meeting was all noise. Most of the people did not know why they had come together.
Inside, the people were all shouting, some one thing and some another. Everything was in confusion. In fact, most of them didn’t even know why they were there.
Some cried one thing and some another, and the crowd was all out of order, and the majority did not know why they had come together.

Meanwhile, some were shouting one thing, some another; for the assembly was in confusion, and most of them did not know why they had come together.
Meanwhile, some were shouting one thing, some another, for the assembly was in confusion, and most of them did not know why they had come together.
Meanwhile, some people were shouting one thing, some another. In fact, the whole assembly was thoroughly confused, and most of them had no idea why they had come there in the first place.
Then some began shouting one thing, some another, in the theater, for the kahal was in confusion, and most had no da’as of the purpose of the kahal (assembly).
Therefore some cried one thing, and some another. For the assembly was out of order, and most of them did not know why they had come together.
Now some cried one thing, some another; for the assembly was in confusion, and most of them did not know why they had come together.
Now some cried one thing, some another; for the assembly was in confusion, and most of them did not know why they had come together.
Now some cried out one thing, some another, for the assembly was in confusion. Most did not know why they had come together.
Enraged voices are shouting on top of each other, some saying one thing, some saying something else. The crowd is completely out of control. Most of the people don’t even know what caused the commotion in the first place.
Some therefore cried one thing, and some another, for the assembly was in confusion. Most of them didn’t know why they had come together.
Some of the people were shouting one thing and some another. They were all stirred up. Most of the people did not know why they had come together.
And other men cried other thing [Soothly other men cried other things]; for the church was confused, and many knew not for what cause they were come together.
Some indeed, therefore, were calling out one thing, and some another, for the assembly was confused, and the greater part did not know for what they were come together;
