providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord but also in the sight of men.
for we take thought for things honorable, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
For we have regard for what is honorable [and above suspicion], not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
For we take thought beforehand and aim to be honest and absolutely above suspicion, not only in the sight of the Lord but also in the sight of men.
Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
Indeed, we are giving careful thought to do what is right, not only before the Lord but also before people.
We care about doing the right thing, not only in the Lord’s eyes but also in the eyes of other people.
for we take pains to do what is right not only in the sight of God but also in the sight of other people.
But we want to do what pleases the Lord and what people think is right.
for we provide for things honest, not only before [the] Lord, but also before men.
For we are providing-for good things not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of people.
For we forecast what may be good not only before God, but also before men.
We are trying to do what is right. We want to do what the Lord accepts as right and also what people think is right.
Our purpose is to do only what is right. We want the Lord to see that, and people must see it as well.
To be sure, we are taking into consideration what is proper, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of other people.
for we aim at what is honorable not only in the Lord's sight but also in the sight of man.
for we aim at what is honourable not only in the Lord's sight but also in the sight of man.
[L For] We are trying hard to do what is right, not only before the Lord but also before people [Prov. 3:4].
Providing for honest things, not only before the Lord, but also before men.
We intend to do what is right, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of people.
Our purpose is to do what is right, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of others.
For we are making provision for what is right, not only before the Lord but also before men.
We are trying to do what is right. We want to do what the Lord accepts as right and also what people think is right.
We intend to do what is right, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of people.
Thank God Titus feels the same deep concern for you as we do! He accepts the suggestion outlined above, and in his enthusiasm comes to you personally at his own request. We are sending with him that brother whose services to the Gospel are universally praised in the churches. He has been unanimously chosen to travel with us in this work of administering the gifts of others. It is a task that brings glory to God and demonstrates also the willingness of us Christians to help each other. Naturally we want to avoid the slightest breath of criticism in the distribution of their gifts, and to be absolutely above-board not only in the sight of God but in the eyes of men.

Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
for we respect what is good, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
For we are taking into consideration what is honorable not only before the Lord, but also before people.
God knows we are honest, but I want everyone else to know it too. That is why we have made this arrangement.
So here’s what I think: The best thing you can do right now is to finish what you started last year and not let those good intentions grow stale. Your heart’s been in the right place all along. You’ve got what it takes to finish it up, so go to it. Once the commitment is clear, you do what you can, not what you can’t. The heart regulates the hands. This isn’t so others can take it easy while you sweat it out. No, you’re shoulder to shoulder with them all the way, your surplus matching their deficit, their surplus matching your deficit. In the end you come out even. As it is written, Nothing left over to the one with the most, Nothing lacking to the one with the least. I thank God for giving Titus the same devoted concern for you that I have. He was most considerate of how we felt, but his eagerness to go to you and help out with this relief offering is his own idea. We’re sending a companion along with him, someone very popular in the churches for his preaching of the Message. But there’s far more to him than popularity. He’s rock-solid trustworthy. The churches handpicked him to go with us as we travel about doing this work of sharing God’s gifts to honor God as well as we can, taking every precaution against scandal. We don’t want anyone suspecting us of taking one penny of this money for ourselves. We’re being as careful in our reputation with the public as in our reputation with God. That’s why we’re sending another trusted friend along. He’s proved his dependability many times over, and carries on as energetically as the day he started. He’s heard much about you, and liked what he’s heard—so much so that he can’t wait to get there.

We want to do the right thing. We want God and men to know we are honest.
We are careful to be honorable before the Lord, but we also want everyone else to see that we are honorable.
and therefore provide for things to be beyond reproach, not only in the sight of God, but also in the sight of men.

for we intend to do what is right not only in the Lord’s sight but also in the sight of others.
for we are setting our minds on what is right not only before the Lord but also before the people.
We are thinking ahead, you see, about what will look best, not only to the Lord, but to everybody else as well.
For our tachlis is to do what is tov me’od B’EINEI ELOHIM V’ADAM (“in the eyes of G-d and man”). [MISHLE 3:4 TARGUM HASHIVIM]

Having regard for honorable things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
I want to say this. Titus is my close friend and he works with me. And about our other brothers, they have been sent by the churches. They bring praise to Christ.
For we purvey good things, not only before God, but also before all men.
