2 Corinthians 12:5
Print
Of such a one will I glory, yet of myself I will not glory, except in mine infirmities.
On behalf of such a one will I glory: but on mine own behalf I will not glory, save in my weaknesses.
On behalf of such a man [and his experiences] I will boast; but in my own behalf I will not boast, except in regard to my weaknesses.
Of this same [man’s experiences] I will boast, but of myself (personally) I will not boast, except as regards my infirmities (my weaknesses).
Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities.
I will boast about this person, but not about myself, except of my weaknesses.
I’ll brag about this man, but I won’t brag about myself, except to brag about my weaknesses.
About such a man I will boast; but about myself I will not boast, except in regard to my weaknesses.
I will brag about that man, but not about myself, except to say how weak I am.
Of such [a one] I will boast, but of myself I will not boast, unless in my weaknesses.
I will boast on behalf of such a one. But I will not boast on behalf of myself, except in the weaknesses.
For such an one I will glory; but for myself I will glory nothing, but in my infirmities.
I will boast about a man like that, but I will not boast about myself. I will boast only about my weaknesses.
I will say proud things about a man like that. But I will not be proud of anything good about myself. I will only be proud of things that show my weakness.
On behalf of such a one I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except about my weaknesses.
On behalf of this man I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except of my weaknesses—
On behalf of this man I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except of my weaknesses.
I will ·brag [boast] about a man like that, but I will not ·brag [boast] about myself, except about my weaknesses.
Of such a man will I rejoice: of myself will I not rejoice, except it be of mine infirmities.
I’ll brag about this person, but I won’t brag about myself unless it’s about my weaknesses.
So I will boast about this man—but I will not boast about myself, except the things that show how weak I am.
I will boast about this person, but not about myself, except of my weaknesses.
I will brag about a man like that. But I will not brag about myself, except about my weaknesses.
I will boast about this man, but as for myself I will boast only about my weaknesses.
No, I don’t think it’s really a good thing for me to boast at all, but I will just mention visions and revelations of the Lord himself. I know a man in Christ who, fourteen years ago, had the experience of being caught up into the third Heaven. I don’t know whether it was an actual physical experience, only God knows that. All I know is that this man was caught up into paradise. (I repeat, I do not know whether this was a physical happening or not, God alone knows.) This man heard words that cannot, and indeed must not, be translated into human speech. I am honestly proud of an experience like that, but I have made up my mind not to boast of anything personal, except of what may be called my weaknesses. If I should want to boast I should certainly be no fool to be proud of my experiences, and I should be speaking nothing but the sober truth. Yet I am not going to do so, for I don’t want anyone to think more highly of me than his experience of me and what he hears of me should warrant. So tremendous, however, were the revelations that God gave me that, in order to prevent my becoming absurdly conceited, I was given a physical handicap—one of Satan’s angels—to harass me and effectually stop any conceit. Three times I begged the Lord for it to leave me, but his reply has been, “My grace is enough for you: for where there is weakness, my power is shown the more completely.” Therefore, I have cheerfully made up my mind to be proud of my weaknesses, because they mean a deeper experience of the power of Christ. I can even enjoy weaknesses, suffering, privations, persecutions and difficulties for Christ’s sake. For my very weakness makes me strong in him.
Of such a one I will glory, yet of myself I will not glory, except in my weaknesses.
Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities.
Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities.
On behalf of such a man I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except in weaknesses.
On behalf of such a person I will boast, but on behalf of myself I will not boast, except in my weaknesses.
That experience is something worth bragging about, but I am not going to do it. I am going to boast only about how weak I am and how great God is to use such weakness for his glory.
You’ve forced me to talk this way, and I do it against my better judgment. But now that we’re at it, I may as well bring up the matter of visions and revelations that God gave me. For instance, I know a man who, fourteen years ago, was seized by Christ and swept in ecstasy to the heights of heaven. I really don’t know if this took place in the body or out of it; only God knows. I also know that this man was hijacked into paradise—again, whether in or out of the body, I don’t know; God knows. There he heard the unspeakable spoken, but was forbidden to tell what he heard. This is the man I want to talk about. But about myself, I’m not saying another word apart from the humiliations.
Of such a person, I will boast. Yet of myself I will not boast, except in my weaknesses.
On behalf of · this man I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except in my weakness.
I’ll brag about this person, but I won’t brag about myself unless it’s about my weaknesses.
About this person I will boast, but about myself I will not boast, except about my weaknesses.
In behalf of such a man I will boast; but in my own behalf I will not boast, except regarding my weaknesses.
On behalf of such a man I will boast; but on my own behalf I will not boast, except in regard to my weaknesses.
About this man I am willing to boast, but about myself I will not boast, except as it concerns my weaknesses.
I will brag about a man like that, but I will not brag about myself, except about my weaknesses.
On behalf of such an individual I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except about my weaknesses.
I will brag about a man like that. But I won’t brag about myself. I will brag only about how weak I am.
I will boast about a man like that, but I will not boast about myself, except about my weaknesses.
I will boast about a man like that, but I will not boast about myself, except about my weaknesses.
Of such a one I will boast; yet of myself I will not boast, except in my infirmities.
I will be proud about this man, but I will not be proud about myself except to say things which show how weak I am.
That experience is worth boasting about, but I’m not going to do it. I will boast only about my weaknesses.
Of this man I will boast. Of myself I will not boast, unless it be of my infirmities.
On behalf of such a one I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except of my weaknesses.
On behalf of such a one I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except of my weaknesses.
On behalf of such a one I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except of my weaknesses.
On behalf of such a one I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except of my weaknesses.
I will boast of Someone like that, but I won’t boast of myself, except of my weaknesses.
On behalf of such a one I will boast, but on behalf of myself I will not boast, except in my weaknesses. [2C 11:30]
Of such a man I will boast. Of myself I will not boast, except that it be of my weakness.
On behalf of this man I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except of my weaknesses.
On behalf of this man I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except of my weaknesses.
On behalf of such a man I will boast—but about myself I will not boast, except in regard to my weaknesses.
I could brag about such a man; but as for me, I have nothing to brag about outside my own shortcomings.
On behalf of such a one I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except in my weaknesses.
I will talk about such a man. But I will not talk about myself. If I do talk, it will be about the ways I am weak.
For such manner things I shall glory [For such manner thing I shall glory]; but for me nothing, but in mine infirmities.
Of such an one I will boast, and of myself I will not boast, except in my infirmities,
