So that you [thus] became a pattern to all the believers (those who adhere to, trust in, and rely on Christ Jesus) in Macedonia and Achaia (most of Greece).

You became an example for all the Lord's followers in Macedonia and Achaia.

So you became an ·example to [model for] all the believers in Macedonia [C the Roman province in which Thessalonica was located, present-day northern Greece] and Achaia [C present-day southern Greece].
So that ye were as ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and in Achaia.
This way, you became a model for all the believers in the province of Macedonia and Greece.
So you became an example to all believers in Macedonia and Achaia.
As a result, you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia.
So you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and Southern Greece.
As a result, you became a model for all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia.
We know that God not only loves you but has selected you for a special purpose. For we remember how our Gospel came to you not as mere words, but as a message with power behind it—the effectual power, in fact, of the Holy Spirit. You know how we lived among you. You remember how you set yourselves to copy us, and through us, Christ himself. You remember how, although accepting the message meant bitter persecution, yet you experienced the joy of the Holy Spirit. You thus became examples to all who believe in Macedonia and Achaia. You have become a sort of sounding-board from which the Word of the Lord has rung out, not only in Macedonia and Achaia but everywhere where the story of your faith in God has become known. We find we don’t have to tell people about it. They tell us the story of our coming to you: how you turned from idols to serve the true living God, and how your whole lives now look forward to the coming of his Son from heaven—the Son Jesus, whom God raised from the dead, and who personally delivered us from the judgment which hung over our heads.
So that ye have become examples to all that have believed in Macedonia and Achaia.

Then you yourselves became an example to all the other Christians in Greece.
Do you know that all over the provinces of both Macedonia and Achaia believers look up to you? The word has gotten around. Your lives are echoing the Master’s Word, not only in the provinces but all over the place. The news of your faith in God is out. We don’t even have to say anything anymore—you’re the message! People come up and tell us how you received us with open arms, how you deserted the dead idols of your old life so you could embrace and serve God, the true God. They marvel at how expectantly you await the arrival of his Son, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescued us from certain doom.
Therefore you were examples to all who believe in Macedonia and Achaia.
So you became an example for all the believers in · Macedonia and in · Achaia.
This way, you became a model for all the believers in the province of Macedonia and Greece.
so that you became a model for all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia.
so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia.

so that you became examples to all in Macedonia and Achaia who believe.
Because of your good lives, you are showing all the Christians in the countries of Macedonia and Greece how to live.
As a result, you have become an example to all the believers in Greece—throughout both Macedonia and Achaia.
so that you were an example to all who believe in Macedonia and Achaia.
so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia.
so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia.
so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia.

As a result, you became a model for all the believers in both Macedonia and Achaea.
With the result that you became a mofet (portent), even a role model for all the ma’aminim (believers) in the territory of Macedonia [T.N. a Roman province in northern Greece] and in Achaia [T.N. a Roman province of southern Greece].
so that you were examples to all believers in Macedonia and in Achaia.
so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedo′nia and in Acha′ia.
so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedo′nia and in Acha′ia.
So you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia.
As a result, you have turned into a model of faith yourselves for all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia.
so that you became an example to all who believe in Macedonia and in Achaia.
People in Macedonia and Greece have heard from you the message about the Lord. And people everywhere have heard that you believe in God. So there is no need for us to write about your faith.
so that ye be made ensample to all men that believe [so that ye be made form, or example, to all men believing], in Macedonia and in Achaia.
so that ye became patterns to all those believing in Macedonia and Achaia,
