1 Corinthians 1:23

but we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness,
but we preach Christ crucified, unto Jews a stumblingblock, and unto Gentiles foolishness;
but we preach Christ crucified, [a message which is] to Jews a stumbling block [that provokes their opposition], and to Gentiles foolishness [just utter nonsense],
We preach Christ (the Messiah) crucified, [preaching which] to the Jews is a scandal and an offensive stumbling block [that springs a snare or trap], and to the Gentiles it is absurd and utterly unphilosophical nonsense.
But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Gentiles.
but we preach Christ crucified, which is a scandal to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles.
we go on proclaiming a Messiah executed on a stake as a criminal! To Jews this is an obstacle, and to Greeks it is nonsense;
But we preach that Christ was nailed to a cross. Most Jews have problems with this, and most Gentiles think it is foolish.
but *we* preach Christ crucified, to Jews an offence, and to nations foolishness;
but we are proclaiming Christ crucified— to Jews, an offense; and to Gentiles, foolishness;
But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews indeed a stumblingblock, and unto the Gentiles foolishness:
But this is the message we tell everyone: Christ was killed on a cross. This message is a problem for Jews, and to other people it is nonsense.
But as for us, we tell people about how Christ died on a cross. That is a message that Jewish people refuse to accept as true. Gentile people think that it is a silly message.
but we preach Christ crucified—which is offensive to Jews and foolishness to Greeks,
but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles,
but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles,
But we preach ·that Christ was crucified [Christ crucified; or a crucified Messiah]. This ·causes the Jews to stumble [is a stumbling block/offense/obstacle to Jews] and is ·foolishness [folly] to Gentiles.
But we preach Christ crucified: unto the Jews, even a stumbling block, and unto the Grecians, foolishness:
but our message is that Christ was crucified. This offends Jewish people and makes no sense to people who are not Jewish.
As for us, we proclaim the crucified Christ, a message that is offensive to the Jews and nonsense to the Gentiles;
but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Gentiles.
But we preach Christ on the cross. This is a big problem to the Jews. And it seems foolish to the non-Jews.
but we preach the Messiah crucified. He is a stumbling block to Jews and nonsense to gentiles,
For consider, what have the philosopher, the writer and the critic of this world to show for all their wisdom? Has not God made the wisdom of this world look foolish? for it was after the world in its wisdom failed to know God, that he in his wisdom chose to save all who would believe by the “simple-mindedness” of the Gospel message. For the Jews ask for miraculous proofs and the Greeks an intellectual panacea, but all we preach is Christ crucified—a stumbling block to the Jews and sheer nonsense to the Gentiles, but for those who are called, whether Jews or Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. And this is really only natural, for God’s foolishness” is wiser than men, and his “weakness” is stronger than men.
but we preach Christ crucified, {Gr. Stauroo – hung on a stake} unto the Jews a stumblingblock and unto the Gentiles foolishness;
But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
but we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness,
but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a cause for stumbling, but to the Gentiles foolishness,
So when we preach about Christ dying to save them, the Jews are offended and the Gentiles say it’s all nonsense.
While Jews clamor for miraculous demonstrations and Greeks go in for philosophical wisdom, we go right on proclaiming Christ, the Crucified. Jews treat this like an anti-miracle—and Greeks pass it off as absurd. But to us who are personally called by God himself—both Jews and Greeks—Christ is God’s ultimate miracle and wisdom all wrapped up in one. Human wisdom is so cheap, so impotent, next to the seeming absurdity of God. Human strength can’t begin to compete with God’s “weakness.”
But we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Greeks.
but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles.
but our message is that Christ was crucified. This offends Jewish people and makes no sense to people who are not Jewish.
but we proclaim Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,
but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block, and to Gentiles foolishness,
but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness,
but we proclaim Christ crucified. This is a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles;
But we preach a crucified Christ. This causes the Jews to stumble and is foolishness to non-Jews.
but we preach about a crucified Christ, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles.
But we preach about Christ and his death on the cross. That is very hard for Jews to accept. And everyone else thinks it’s foolish.
but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,
but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling-block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,
but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness,
But we preach that Christ died on a cross to save them from their sins. These words are hard for the Jews to listen to. The Greek people think it is foolish.
So when we preach that Christ was crucified, the Jews are offended and the Gentiles say it’s all nonsense.
But we preach Christ crucified: to the Jews an occasion of falling, and to the Greeks foolishness,
but we proclaim Christ crucified, a stumbling-block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,
but we proclaim Christ crucified, a stumbling-block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,
but we proclaim Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,
but we proclaim Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to gentiles,
but we announce the crucified Messiah, a scandal to Jews and folly to Gentiles,
But, we proclaim Moshiach and nivlato al haEtz (“his body on the Tree,” DEVARIM 21:23): to Jews, a michshol (YESHAYAH 8:14); to Goyim, narrishkait (foolishness).
But we preach Christ crucified, indeed a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Grecians.
but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles,
but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles,
but we proclaim Messiah crucified—a stumbling block to Jewish people and foolishness to Gentile people,
But we tell a different story. We proclaim a crucified Jesus, God’s Anointed. For Jews this is scandalous, for outsiders this is moronic,
but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews, and foolishness to Greeks,
But we tell people about Christ who died on a cross. The leaders of the Jews do not like this, and those who are not Jews laugh at it.
but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews cause of stumbling [to Jews soothly offence], and to heathen men folly;
also we -- we preach Christ crucified, to Jews, indeed, a stumbling-block, and to Greeks foolishness,
