But covet earnestly the best gifts, and yet show I unto you a more excellent way.
But desire earnestly the greater gifts. And moreover a most excellent way show I unto you.
But earnestly desire and strive for the greater gifts [if acquiring them is going to be your goal]. And yet I will show you a still more excellent way [one of the choicest graces and the highest of them all: unselfish love].
But earnestly desire and zealously cultivate the greatest and best gifts and graces (the higher gifts and the choicest graces). And yet I will show you a still more excellent way [one that is better by far and the highest of them all—love].
But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
But desire the greater gifts. And I will show you an even better way.
Use your ambition to try to get the greater gifts. And I’m going to show you an even better way.
Eagerly seek the better gifts. But now I will show you the best way of all.
I want you to desire the best gifts. So I will show you a much better way.
But desire earnestly the greater gifts, and yet shew I unto you a way of more surpassing excellence.
But be zealous-for the greater gifts. And I show you a way still beyond measure:
But be zealous for the better gifts. And I shew unto you yet a more excellent way.
Continue to give your attention to the spiritual gifts you consider to be the greatest. But now I want to point out a way of life that is even greater.
But it is good if you really want the more valuable gifts from God. Now I will show you a way that is better than anything else.
But eagerly seek the greater gifts. And now, I am going to show you a more excellent way.
But earnestly desire the higher gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way.
But earnestly desire the higher gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way.
But ·you should truly want to have [eagerly desire; be zealous for] the greater gifts. And now I will show you ·the best way of all [a better/superior way].
But desire you the best gifts, and I will yet show you a more excellent way.
You ⌞only⌟ want the better gifts, but I will show you the best thing to do.
Set your hearts, then, on the more important gifts. Best of all, however, is the following way.
But desire the greater gifts. And I will show you an even better way.
But you should truly want to have the greater gifts. And now I will show you the best way of all.
Keep on desiring the better gifts. And now I will show you the best way of all.
You should set your hearts on the highest spiritual gifts, but I will show you what is the highest way of all.
But earnestly pursue the best gifts, and yet I show unto you a more excellent way.
But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
But you earnestly desire the greater gifts. And I will yet show you a more excellent way.
But strive for the greater gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way.
No, but try your best to have the more important of these gifts. First, however, let me tell you about something else that is better than any of them!
You are Christ’s body—that’s who you are! You must never forget this. Only as you accept your part of that body does your “part” mean anything. You’re familiar with some of the parts that God has formed in his church, which is his “body”: apostles prophets teachers miracle workers healers helpers organizers those who pray in tongues. But it’s obvious by now, isn’t it, that Christ’s church is a complete Body and not a gigantic, unidimensional Part? It’s not all Apostle, not all Prophet, not all Miracle Worker, not all Healer, not all Prayer in Tongues, not all Interpreter of Tongues. And yet some of you keep competing for so-called “important” parts. But now I want to lay out a far better way for you.
But earnestly covet the greater gifts. Yet I show you a more excellent way.
Set your hearts then on the higher gifts. · And now I will show you a way that is beyond comparison.
You only want the better gifts, but I will show you the best thing to do.
Strive eagerly for the greatest spiritual gifts. But I shall show you a still more excellent way.
But earnestly desire the greater gifts. And yet, I am going to show you a far better way.
But earnestly desire the greater gifts. And I show you a still more excellent way.
Set your hearts on the greater gifts. Now I will show you a more excellent way.
But you should truly want to have the greater gifts. And now I will show you the best way of all.
But you should be eager for the greater gifts. And now I will show you a way that is beyond comparison.
But above all, you should want the more important gifts. But now I will show you the best way of all.
Now eagerly desire the greater gifts. And yet I will show you the most excellent way.
Now eagerly desire the greater gifts. And yet I will show you the most excellent way.
But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.
But from your heart you should want the best gifts. Now I will show you even a better way.
So you should earnestly desire the most helpful gifts. But now let me show you a way of life that is best of all.
Covet the best gifts. And yet, I show you a more excellent way.
But strive for the greater gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way.
But strive for the greater gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way.
But strive for the greater gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way.
But strive for the greater gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way.
You should be eager for the better kinds of gifts. Now I’m going to show you a better way, a much better way.
But earnestly desire the greater matanot (gifts) [of the Ruach Hakodesh]….And yet now I show you a more feste derech. T.N. Rav Sha’ul now turns to the need for balance. Not that he is trying to terminate the miraculous in Moshiach’s Kehillah [a futile endeavor!], but that he is showing the need for the fruit of the Ruach Hakodesh to balance His gifts, especially in an environment where pride and carnality have quenched ahavah, which is the Yn 3:16 center of Moshiach’s saving histalkus (passing, the death of Moshiach in midst of his Redemptive mission on the analogy of Moses dying before he crosses into the Promised Land.)
But desire the better gifts. And still I will show you a more excellent way.
But earnestly desire the higher gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way.
But earnestly desire the higher gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way.
But earnestly desire the greater gifts. And still I show you a far better way:
Pursue the greater gifts, and let me tell you of a more excellent way—love.
But earnestly desire the best gifts. Moreover, I show a most excellent way to you.
But follow ye the better ghostly gifts. And yet I show to you a more excellent way.
and desire earnestly the better gifts; and yet a far excelling way do I shew to you:
