1 Corinthians 12:18
Print
But now hath God set the members, every one of them, in the body as it hath pleased Him.
But now hath God set the members each one of them in the body, even as it pleased him.
But now [as things really are], God has placed and arranged the parts in the body, each one of them, just as He willed and saw fit [with the best balance of function].
But as it is, God has placed and arranged the limbs and organs in the body, each [particular one] of them, just as He wished and saw fit and with the best adaptation.
But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
But as it is, God has arranged each one of the parts in the body just as he wanted.
But as it is, God has placed each one of the parts in the body just like he wanted.
But as it is, God arranged each of the parts in the body exactly as he wanted them.
But God has put all parts of our body together in the way that he decided is best.
But now God has set the members, each one of them in the body, according as it has pleased [him].
But now, God placed the body-parts— each one of them— in the body, just as He wanted.
But now God hath set the members every one of them in the body as it hath pleased him.
If each part of the body were the same part, there would be no body. But as it is, God put the parts in the body as he wanted them. He made a place for each one.
But God has decided where each different part of our body should be.
But now God has arranged the members in the body, each and every one of them, as he desired.
But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose.
But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose.
If each part of the body were the same part, ·there would be no body [L where would the body be?]. But truly God put all the parts, each one of them, in the body as he wanted them.
But now hath God disposed the members every one of them in the body at his own pleasure.
So God put each and every part of the body together as he wanted it.
As it is, however, God put every different part in the body just as he wanted it to be.
But now God has placed each one of the parts in one body just as He wanted.
If each part of the body were the same part, there would be no body. But truly God put the parts in the body as he wanted them. He made a place for each one of them.
But now God has arranged the parts, every one of them, in the body according to his plan.
Now the body is not one member but many. If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand I don’t belong to the body,” does that alter the fact that the foot is a part of the body? Of if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye I don’t belong to the body,” does that mean that the ear really is no part of the body? After all, if the body were all one eye, for example, where would be the sense of hearing? Or if it were all one ear, where would be the sense of smell? But God has arranged all the parts in the one body according to his design. For if everything were concentrated in one part, how could there be a body at all? The fact is there are many parts, but only one body. So that the eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” nor, again, can the head say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” On the contrary, those parts of the body which have no obvious function are the more essential to health: and to those parts of the body which seem to us to be less deserving of notice we have to allow the highest honour of function. The parts which do not look beautiful have a deeper beauty in the work they do, while the parts which look beautiful may not be at all essential to life! But God has harmonised the whole body by giving importance of function to the parts which lack apparent importance, that the body should work together as a whole with all the members in sympathetic relationship with one another. So it happens that if one member suffers all the other members suffer with it, and if one member is honoured all the members share a common joy.
But now God has set the members each one of them in the body, as it has pleased him.
But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
But now God has appointed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired.
But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body just as he wanted.
But that isn’t the way God has made us. He has made many parts for our bodies and has put each part just where he wants it.
I want you to think about how all this makes you more significant, not less. A body isn’t just a single part blown up into something huge. It’s all the different-but-similar parts arranged and functioning together. If Foot said, “I’m not elegant like Hand, embellished with rings; I guess I don’t belong to this body,” would that make it so? If Ear said, “I’m not beautiful like Eye, transparent and expressive; I don’t deserve a place on the head,” would you want to remove it from the body? If the body was all eye, how could it hear? If all ear, how could it smell? As it is, we see that God has carefully placed each part of the body right where he wanted it.
But now God has established the parts, every one of them, in the body as it has pleased Him.
But as it is, · God arranged the members in the body, every one of them, just as he chose.
So God put each and every part of the body together as he wanted it.
But as it is, God placed the parts, each one of them, in the body as he intended.
But now God has arranged the parts, each one of them in the body, just as He desired.
But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired.
But God arranged each part in the body as he intended.
If each part of the body were the same part, there would be no body. But truly God put all the parts, each one of them, in the body as he wanted them.
But as a matter of fact, God has placed each of the members in the body just as he decided.
God has placed each part in the body just as he wanted it to be.
But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.
But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.
But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.
But God has put all the parts into the body just as He wants to have them.
But our bodies have many parts, and God has put each part just where he wants it.
But now God has set the members, every one of them, in the body at his own pleasure.
But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose.
But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose.
But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose.
But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose.
But as it is, God has organized the members, placing each one individually in the body according to his wishes.
But now Hashem set the evarim (members), each one of them, in the body according to His ratzon (will), as He wanted.
But now, God has placed the members, every one of them in the body, at His own pleasure.
But as it is, God arranged the organs in the body, each one of them, as he chose.
But as it is, God arranged the organs in the body, each one of them, as he chose.
But now God has placed the parts—each one of them—in the body just as He desired.
This is where God comes in. God has meticulously put this body together; He placed each part in the exact place to perform the exact function He wanted.
But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body, just as he desired.
The way it is now, God has put each part in the body in the place he wanted it.
But now God hath set members, and each of them in the body, as he would.
and now, God did set the members each one of them in the body, according as He willed,
