For in eating, every one taketh his own supper ahead of another, and one is hungry and another is drunken.
for in your eating each one taketh before other his own supper; and one is hungry, and another is drunken.
for when you eat, each one hurries to get his own supper first [not waiting for others or the poor]. So one goes hungry while another gets drunk.
For in eating each one [hurries] to get his own supper first [not waiting for the poor], and one goes hungry while another gets drunk.
For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.
For at the meal, each one eats his own supper. So one person is hungry while another gets drunk!
Each of you goes ahead and eats a private meal. One person goes hungry while another is drunk.
because as you eat your meal, each one goes ahead on his own; so that one stays hungry while another is already drunk!
You even start eating before everyone gets to the meeting, and some of you go hungry, while others get drunk.
For each one in eating takes his *own* supper before [others], and one is hungry and another drinks to excess.
For at the eating, each one is taking his own dinner before others. And one is hungry, and another is drunk.
For every one taketh before his own supper to eat. And one indeed is hungry and another is drunk.
I say this because when you eat, each one eats without waiting for the others. Some people don’t get enough to eat or drink, while others have too much.
When you are ready to eat, each of you eats your own meal. You do not wait for anyone else. As a result, one of you may be hungry, while another person becomes drunk.
For when you eat, each one goes ahead and takes his own supper, and so one person goes hungry while another is drunk.
For in eating, each one goes ahead with his own meal. One goes hungry, another gets drunk.
For in eating, each one goes ahead with his own meal. One goes hungry, another gets drunk.
This is because when you eat, each person eats without waiting for the others [C the wealthy church members were arriving early to avoid sharing with the poorer members; such social distinctions were common throughout the Greco-Roman world]. Some people do not get enough to eat, while others ·have too much to drink [get drunk].
For every man when they should eat, taketh his own supper afore, and one is hungry, and another is drunken.
Each of you eats his own supper ⌞without waiting for each other⌟. So one person goes hungry and another gets drunk.
For as you eat, you each go ahead with your own meal, so that some are hungry while others get drunk.
For at the meal, each one eats his own supper ahead of others. So one person is hungry while another gets drunk!
This is because when you eat, each person eats without waiting for the others. Some people do not get enough to eat, while others have too much to drink.
For as you eat, each of you rushes to eat his own supper, and one person goes hungry while another gets drunk.
But in giving you the following rules, I cannot commend your conduct, for it seems that your church meetings do you more harm than good! For first, when you meet for worship I hear that you split up into small groups, and I think there must be truth in what I hear. For there must be cliques among you or your favourite leaders would not be so conspicuous. It follows, then, that when you are assembled in one place you do not eat the Lord’s supper. For everyone tries to grab his food before anyone else, with the result that one goes hungry and another has too much to drink! Haven’t you houses of your own to have your meals in, or are you making a convenience of the church of God and causing acute embarrassment to those who have no other home? Am I to commend this sort of conduct? Most certainly not!
For in eating, each one takes his own supper first: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.
For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.
For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.
for in your eating each one takes his own supper first, and one is hungry and another is drunk.
For when you eat it, each one of you goes ahead to take his own supper, and one is hungry and another is drunk.
but your own. For I am told that everyone hastily gobbles all the food he can without waiting to share with the others, so that one doesn’t get enough and goes hungry while another has too much to drink and gets drunk.
And then I find that you bring your divisions to worship—you come together, and instead of eating the Lord’s Supper, you bring in a lot of food from the outside and make pigs of yourselves. Some are left out, and go home hungry. Others have to be carried out, too drunk to walk. I can’t believe it! Don’t you have your own homes to eat and drink in? Why would you stoop to desecrating God’s church? Why would you actually shame God’s poor? I never would have believed you would stoop to this. And I’m not going to stand by and say nothing.
For in eating, each one eats his own supper ahead of others. One goes hungry, and another becomes drunk.
For when it comes time to eat, each one goes ahead with · his own supper; and one remains hungry while another becomes drunk.
Each of you eats his own supper without waiting for each other. So one person goes hungry and another gets drunk.

For when it is time to eat, everyone proceeds with his own supper. One is hungry and another becomes drunk.
As you eat, some of you go ahead and eat your own private meals. Because of this, one person stays hungry and another gets drunk.

People take their own food and eat it without waiting. One gets nothing to eat. Another person drinks too much.
