1 Corinthians 10:8
Print
Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed — and three and twenty thousand fell in one day.
Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
We must not indulge in [nor tolerate] sexual immorality, as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand [suddenly] fell [dead] in a single day!
We must not gratify evil desire and indulge in immorality as some of them did—and twenty-three thousand [suddenly] fell dead in a single day!
Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
Let us not commit sexual immorality as some of them did, and in a single day twenty-three thousand people died.
Let’s not practice sexual immorality, like some of them did, and twenty-three thousand died in one day.
And let us not engage in sexual immorality, as some of them did, with the consequence that 23,000 died in a single day.
Some of those people did shameful things, and in a single day about 23,000 died. Don't do shameful things as they did.
Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed fornication, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
And let us not be committing-sexual-immorality, as some of them committed sexual immorality, and twenty three thousand fell in one day [Num 25:1-9].
Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed fornication, and there fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
We should not commit sexual sins as some of them did. In one day 23,000 of them died because of their sin.
Nor must we ever have sex in wrong ways. Some of our ancestors did that, and 23,000 of them died in one day as a result.
And let us not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell.
We must not indulge in sexual immorality as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in a single day.
We must not indulge in sexual immorality as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in a single day.
We must not take part in sexual sins, as some of them did. In one day twenty-three thousand of them ·died because of their sins [L fell; Num 25:1–9].
Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed fornication, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
We shouldn’t sin sexually as some of them did. Twenty-three thousand of them died on one day.
We must not be guilty of sexual immorality, as some of them were—and in one day twenty-three thousand of them fell dead.
Let us not commit sexual immorality as some of them did, and in a single day 23,000 people fell dead.
We should not take part in sexual sin, as some of them did. In one day 23,000 of them died because of their sins.
Let’s stop sinning sexually, as some of them were doing, and on a single day 23,000 fell dead.
Neither should we give way to sexual immorality as did some of them, for we read that twenty-three thousand fell in a single day! Nor should we dare to exploit the goodness of God as some of them did, and fell victims to poisonous snakes. Nor yet must you curse the lot that God has appointed to you as they did, and met their end at the hand of the angel of death.
Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed and fell dead: in one day, twenty-three thousand.
Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
Nor let us act in sexual immorality, as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in one day.
nor commit sexual immorality, as some of them committed sexual immorality, and twenty-three thousand fell in one day,
Another lesson for us is what happened when some of them sinned with other men’s wives, and 23,000 fell dead in one day.
The same thing could happen to us. We must be on guard so that we never get caught up in wanting our own way as they did. And we must not turn our religion into a circus as they did—“First the people partied, then they threw a dance.” We must not be sexually promiscuous—they paid for that, remember, with 23,000 deaths in one day! We must never try to get Christ to serve us instead of us serving him; they tried it, and God launched an epidemic of poisonous snakes. We must be careful not to stir up discontent; discontent destroyed them.
Neither let us commit sexual immorality as some of them committed, when twenty-three thousand fell in one day.
We must not indulge in sexual immorality, as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in a single day.
We shouldn’t sin sexually as some of them did. Twenty-three thousand of them died on one day.
Let us not indulge in immorality as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell within a single day.
Nor are we to commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in one day.
Nor let us act immorally, as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in one day.
Let us not indulge in sexual immorality as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand of them died in a single day.
We must not take part in sexual sins, as some of them did. In one day twenty-three thousand of them died because of their sins.
And let us not be immoral, as some of them were, and 23,000 died in a single day.
We should not commit sexual sins, as some of them did. In one day 23,000 of them died.
We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did—and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died.
We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did – and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died.
Nor let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell;
We must not do sex sins as some of them did. In one day 23,000 died.
And we must not engage in sexual immorality as some of them did, causing 23,000 of them to die in one day.
Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed fornication, and in one day 23,000 were destroyed.
We must not indulge in sexual immorality as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in a single day.
We must not indulge in sexual immorality as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in a single day.
We must not indulge in sexual immorality as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in a single day.
We must not engage in sexual immorality, as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in a single day.
Nor should we become immoral, like some of them became immoral, and twenty-three thousand fell on a single day.
Neither should we commit zenut as some of them committed zenut and fell in one day twenty-three thousand [BAMIDBAR 25:1,9]. [T.N. if Rav Sha’ul is not giving the number that died in one day, a very famous and devastating twenty-four hour period, (with BAMIDBAR 25:4 mentioning other executions and the subsequent total being 24,000 [Bamidbar 24:9]), then Rav Sha’ul is referring to those who died in Shemot 32:35, quoting as he does Shemot 32:6 in 1C 10:7]
Nor let us commit fornication, as some of them committed fornication. And twenty-three thousand fell in one day.
We must not indulge in immorality as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in a single day.
We must not indulge in immorality as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in a single day.
And let’s not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did—and in one day 23,000 fell.
We must be careful not to engage in sexual sins as some of them did. In one day, 23,000 died because of sin.
Let’s not commit sexual immorality, as some of them committed, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell.
We must not use sex the wrong way as some of them did. Twenty-three thousand people died in one day!
Neither do we fornication, as some of them did fornication, and three and twenty thousand were dead in one day [and three and twenty thousand fell, or died, in one day].
neither may we commit whoredom, as certain of them did commit whoredom, and there fell in one day twenty-three thousand;
