1 Corinthians 10:6

Now these things were our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
Now these things [the warnings and admonitions] took place as examples for us, so that we would not crave evil things as they did.
Now these things are examples (warnings and admonitions) for us not to desire or crave or covet or lust after evil and carnal things as they did.
Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
Now these things took place as examples for us, so that we will not desire evil things as they did.
These things were examples for us, so we won’t crave evil things like they did.
Now these things took place as prefigurative historical events, warning us not to set our hearts on evil things as they did.
What happened to them is a warning to keep us from wanting to do the same evil things.
But these things happened [as] types of us, that we should not be lusters after evil things, as they also lusted.
Now these things took place as our examples, so that we might not be desirers of evil things, as those also desired.
Now these things were done in a figure of us, that we should not covet evil things as they also coveted.
And these things that happened are examples for us. These examples should stop us from wanting evil things like those people did.
We must learn from those things that happened to our ancestors. We must not want to do very bad things, like they did.
Now these things took place as examples to warn us not to desire evil things the way they did.
Now these things took place as examples for us, that we might not desire evil as they did.
Now these things took place as examples for us, that we might not desire evil as they did.
And these things happened as examples for us, to stop us from ·wanting [desiring; craving] evil things as those people did.
Now these things are our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.
These things have become examples for us so that we won’t desire what is evil, as they did.
Now, all of this is an example for us, to warn us not to desire evil things, as they did,
Now these things became examples for us, so that we will not desire evil things as they did.
And these things that happened are examples for us. They should stop us from wanting evil things as those people did.
Now their experiences serve as examples for us so that we won’t set our hearts on evil as they did.
For I should like to remind you, my brothers, that our ancestors all had the experience of being guided by the cloud in the desert and of crossing the sea dry-shod. They were all, so to speak, “baptised” into Moses by these experiences. They all shared the same spiritual food and drank the same spiritual drink (for they drank from the spiritual rock which followed them, and that rock was Christ). Yet in spite of all these wonderful experiences many of them failed to please God, and left their bones in the desert. Now in these events our ancestors stand as examples to us, warning us not to crave after evil things as they did. Nor are you to worship false gods as they did. The scripture says—‘The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.’
¶ Now these things became types of us, that we should not lust after evil things as they lusted.
Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
Now these things happened as examples for us, so that we would not crave evil things as they also craved.
Now these things happened as examples for us, so that we should not be desirers of evil things, just as those also desired them,
From this lesson we are warned that we must not desire evil things as they did,
The same thing could happen to us. We must be on guard so that we never get caught up in wanting our own way as they did. And we must not turn our religion into a circus as they did—“First the people partied, then they threw a dance.” We must not be sexually promiscuous—they paid for that, remember, with 23,000 deaths in one day! We must never try to get Christ to serve us instead of us serving him; they tried it, and God launched an epidemic of poisonous snakes. We must be careful not to stir up discontent; discontent destroyed them.
Now these things were our examples to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they lusted.
Now these things took place as examples for us, so that we would not crave evil things, even as they did.
These things have become examples for us so that we won’t desire what is evil, as they did.
These things happened as examples for us, so that we might not desire evil things, as they did.
Now these things happened as examples for us, so that we would not crave evil things as they indeed craved them.
Now these things happened as examples for us, so that we would not crave evil things as they also craved.
These events occurred to offer examples for us so that we might not desire evil things as they did.
And these things happened as examples for us, to stop us from wanting evil things as those people did.
These things happened as examples for us, so that we will not crave evil things as they did.
Now those things happened as examples for us. They are supposed to keep us from wanting evil things. The people of Israel wanted these evil things.
Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did.
Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did.
Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.
These things show us something. They teach us not to want things that are bad for us like those people did.
These things happened as a warning to us, so that we would not crave evil things as they did,
These are examples for us, so that we will not lust after evil things like they did.
Now these things occurred as examples for us, so that we might not desire evil as they did.
Now these things occurred as examples for us, so that we might not desire evil as they did.
Now these things occurred as examples for us, so that we might not desire evil as they did.
Now these things occurred as examples for us, so that we might not desire evil as they did.
Now these things were patterns for us, so that we should not start to crave for wicked things as they did.
Now these things occurred as moftim (examples) for us, in order that we would not crave what is ra’ah as they did. [BAMIDBAR 11:4,34; TEHILLIM 106:14]
Now these things are our examples, to the intent that we should not also lust after evil things as they lusted,
Now these things are warnings for us, not to desire evil as they did.
Now these things are warnings for us, not to desire evil as they did.
Now these things happened as examples for us, so we wouldn’t crave evil things, just as they did.
Look at what happened to them as an example; it’s right there in the Scriptures so that we won’t make the same mistakes and hunger after evil as they did. So here’s my advice:
Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
This teaches us not to want wrong things as they did.
But these things were done in figure of us, that we be not coveters of evil things, as [and] they coveted.
and those things became types of us, for our not passionately desiring evil things, as also these did desire.
