Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
To Yahweh’s Name Give Glory
115 (A)Not to us, O Yahweh, not to us,
But (B)to Your name give glory
Because of Your lovingkindness, because of Your [a]truth.
2 (C)Why should the nations say,
“(D)Where, now, is their God?”
3 But our (E)God is in the heavens;
He (F)does whatever He pleases.
4 Their (G)idols are silver and gold,
The (H)work of man’s hands.
5 They have mouths, but they (I)do not speak;
They have eyes, but they do not see;
6 They have ears, but they do not hear;
They have noses, but they do not smell;
7 As for their hands, they do not feel;
As for their feet, they do not walk;
They do not make a sound with their throat.
8 (J)Those who make them [b]will become like them,
Everyone who trusts in them.
9 O (K)Israel, (L)trust in Yahweh;
He is their (M)help and their shield.
10 O house of (N)Aaron, trust in Yahweh;
He is their help and their shield.
11 You who [c](O)fear Yahweh, trust in Yahweh;
He is their help and their shield.
12 Yahweh (P)remembered us; He will bless!
He will bless the house of Israel.
He will bless the house of Aaron.
13 He will (Q)bless those who [d]fear Yahweh,
(R)The small together with the great.
14 May Yahweh (S)give you increase,
You and your children.
15 May you be blessed of Yahweh,
(T)Who made heaven and earth.
29 Aaron shall carry the names of the sons of Israel in the breastpiece of judgment over his heart when he comes into the holy place, for a remembrance before Yahweh continually. 30 (A)You shall put in the breastpiece of judgment the [a](B)Urim and the Thummim, and they shall be over Aaron’s heart when he comes in before Yahweh; and Aaron shall carry the judgment of the sons of Israel over his heart before Yahweh continually.
31 “(C)You shall make the robe of the ephod entirely of [b]blue. 32 There shall be an opening [c]at its top in the middle of it; around the edge of its opening there shall be a binding of woven work, like the opening of a coat of mail, so that it will not be torn. 33 You shall make on its hem pomegranates of blue and purple and scarlet material, all around on its hem, and bells of gold between them all around: 34 a golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, all around on the hem of the robe. 35 It shall be on Aaron [d]when he ministers; and its sound shall be heard when he comes into the holy place before Yahweh and when he goes out, so that he will not die.
36 “You shall also make (D)a plate of pure gold and shall engrave on it, like the engravings of a signet, ‘(E)Holy to Yahweh.’ 37 You shall [e]fasten it on a [f]blue cord, and it shall be on the turban; it shall be at the front of the turban. 38 It shall be on Aaron’s forehead, and Aaron shall [g](F)take away the iniquity of the holy things which the sons of Israel set apart as holy, with regard to all their holy gifts; and it shall continually be on his forehead, that (G)they may be accepted before Yahweh.
3 (A)I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, 4 always offering prayer with joy in (B)my every prayer for you all, 5 because of your [a](C)fellowship in the (D)gospel (E)from the first day until now. 6 For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until (F)the day of Christ Jesus. 7 [b]For (G)it is only right for me to think this way about you all, because I (H)have you in my heart, since both in my (I)chains and in the (J)defense and confirmation of the (K)gospel, you all are fellow partakers with me in this grace. 8 For (L)God is my witness, how I long for you all with the [c]affection of (M)Christ Jesus. 9 And this I pray, that (N)your love may abound still more and more in (O)full knowledge and all discernment, 10 so that you may [d](P)approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and without fault [e]until (Q)the day of Christ, 11 having been filled with the (R)fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
