Version
Psalm 105:1-6

Psalm 105[a]

105 Give thanks to the Lord.
Call on his name.
Make known his accomplishments among the nations.
Sing to him.
Make music to him.
Tell about all his miraculous deeds.
Boast about his holy name.
Let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
Seek the Lord and the strength he gives.
Seek his presence continually.
Recall the miraculous deeds he performed,
his mighty acts and the judgments he decreed,[b]
O children[c] of Abraham,[d] God’s[e] servant,
you descendants[f] of Jacob, God’s[g] chosen ones.

Psalm 105:23-26

23 Israel moved to[a] Egypt;
Jacob lived for a time[b] in the land of Ham.
24 The Lord[c] made his people very fruitful,
and made them[d] more numerous than their[e] enemies.
25 He caused the Egyptians[f] to hate his people,
and to mistreat[g] his servants.
26 He sent his servant Moses,
and Aaron, whom he had chosen.

Psalm 105:45

45 so that they might keep his commands
and obey[a] his laws.
Praise the Lord.

Exodus 3:16-22

16 “Go and bring together[a] the elders of Israel and tell them, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers,[b] appeared[c] to me—the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—saying, “I have attended carefully to[d] you and to what has been done[e] to you in Egypt, 17 and I have promised[f] that I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites,[g] to a land flowing with milk and honey.”’

18 “The elders[h] will listen[i] to you, and then you and the elders of Israel must go to the king of Egypt and tell him, ‘The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met[j] with us. So now, let us go[k] three days’ journey into the wilderness, so that we may sacrifice[l] to the Lord our God.’ 19 But I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go,[m] not even under force.[n] 20 So I will extend my hand[o] and strike Egypt with all my wonders[p] that I will do among them, and after that he will release you.[q]

21 “I will grant this people favor with[r] the Egyptians, so that when[s] you depart you will not leave empty-handed. 22 Every[t] woman will ask her neighbor and the one who happens to be staying[u] in her house for items of silver and gold[v] and for clothing. You will put these articles on your sons and daughters—thus you will plunder Egypt!”[w]

2 Thessalonians 2:7-12

For the hidden power of lawlessness[a] is already at work. However, the one who holds him back[b] will do so until he is taken out of the way, and then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord[c] will destroy by the breath of his mouth and wipe out by the manifestation of his arrival. The arrival of the lawless one[d] will be by Satan’s working with all kinds of miracles[e] and signs and false wonders, 10 and with every kind of evil deception directed against[f] those who are perishing, because they found no place in their hearts for the truth[g] so as to be saved. 11 Consequently[h] God sends on them a deluding influence[i] so that they will believe what is false. 12 And so[j] all of them who have not believed the truth but have delighted in evil will be condemned.[k]
