Version
Psalm 114

Psalm 114[a]

114 When Israel left Egypt,
when the family of Jacob left a foreign nation behind,[b]
Judah became his sanctuary,
Israel his kingdom.
The sea looked and fled;[c]
the Jordan River[d] turned back.[e]
The mountains skipped like rams,
the hills like lambs.[f]
Why do you flee, O sea?
Why do you turn back, O Jordan River?
Why do you skip like rams, O mountains,
like lambs, O hills?
Tremble, O earth, before the Lord—
before the God of Jacob,
who turned a rock into a pool of water,
a hard rock into springs of water.[g]

Exodus 15:19-21

19 For the horses of Pharaoh came with his chariots and his footmen into the sea,
and the Lord brought back the waters of the sea on them,
but the Israelites walked on dry land in the middle of the sea.”

20 Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a hand drum in her hand, and all the women went out after her with hand drums and with dances.[a] 21 Miriam sang in response[b] to them,

“Sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously;
the horse and its rider he has thrown into the sea.”[c]

Matthew 6:7-15

When[a] you pray, do not babble repetitiously like the Gentiles, because they think that by their many words they will be heard. Do[b] not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. So pray this way:[c]

Our Father[d] in heaven, may your name be honored,[e]
10 may your kingdom come,[f]
may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread,[g]
12 and forgive us our debts,[h] as we ourselves[i] have forgiven our debtors.
13 And do not lead us into temptation,[j] but deliver us from the evil one.[k]

14 “For if you forgive others[l] their sins, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others, your Father will not forgive you your sins.
