Psalm 105:1-6

Psalm 105[a]

105 Give thanks to the Lord.
Call on his name.
Make known his accomplishments among the nations.
Sing to him.
Make music to him.
Tell about all his miraculous deeds.
Boast about his holy name.
Let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
Seek the Lord and the strength he gives.
Seek his presence continually.
Recall the miraculous deeds he performed,
his mighty acts and the judgments he decreed,[b]
O children[c] of Abraham,[d] God’s[e] servant,
you descendants[f] of Jacob, God’s[g] chosen ones.

Psalm 105:23-26

23 Israel moved to[a] Egypt;
Jacob lived for a time[b] in the land of Ham.
24 The Lord[c] made his people very fruitful,
and made them[d] more numerous than their[e] enemies.
25 He caused the Egyptians[f] to hate his people,
and to mistreat[g] his servants.
26 He sent his servant Moses,
and Aaron, whom he had chosen.

Psalm 105:45

45 so that they might keep his commands
and obey[a] his laws.
Praise the Lord.

Exodus 2:23-24

The Call of the Deliverer

23 [a] During[b] that long period of time[c] the king of Egypt died, and the Israelites[d] groaned because of the slave labor. They cried out, and their desperate cry[e] because of their slave labor went up to God. 24 God heard their groaning;[f] God remembered[g] his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

Ephesians 5:1-6

Live in Love

Therefore, be[a] imitators of God as dearly loved children and live[b] in love, just as Christ also loved us[c] and gave himself for us, a sacrificial and fragrant offering[d] to God. But[e] among you there must not be either sexual immorality, impurity of any kind,[f] or greed, as these are not fitting for the saints.[g] Neither should there be vulgar speech, foolish talk, or coarse jesting—all of which are out of character—but rather thanksgiving. For you can be confident of this one thing:[h] that no person who is immoral, impure, or greedy (such a person is an idolater) has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

Live in the Light

Let nobody deceive you with empty words, for because of these things God’s wrath comes on the sons of disobedience.[i]
