Psalm 144

Blessed Be Yahweh, My Rock

Of David.

144 Blessed be Yahweh, (A)my rock,
Who (B)trains my hands for war,
My fingers for battle;
My lovingkindness and (C)my fortress,
My (D)stronghold and my deliverer,
My (E)shield and He in whom I take refuge,
Who (F)subdues [a]my people under me.
O Yahweh, (G)what is man, that You know him?
Or the son of man, that You think of him?
(H)Man is like a breath;
His (I)days are like a passing shadow.

O Yahweh, (J)bow Your heavens, and (K)come down;
(L)Touch the mountains, that they may smoke.
Flash forth (M)lightning and scatter them;
Send out Your (N)arrows and confuse them.
Send forth Your hand (O)from on high;
Set me free and (P)deliver me out of many waters,
Out of the hand of (Q)foreigners
Whose mouth (R)speaks worthlessness,
And whose (S)right hand is a right hand of lying.

O God, I will sing a (T)new song to You;
Upon a (U)harp of ten strings I will sing praises to You,
10 Who (V)gives salvation to kings,
Who (W)sets David His servant free from the evil sword.
11 Set me free and deliver me out of the hand of the sons of a (X)foreigner,
Whose mouth (Y)speaks worthlessness
And whose (Z)right hand is a right hand of lying.

12 That our sons would be as (AA)grown-up plants in their youth,
And our daughters as (AB)corner pillars [b]fashioned as for a palace;
13 That our (AC)granaries would be full, furnishing every kind of produce,
And our flocks would bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our fields outside;
14 That our (AD)cattle would [c]bear
Without [d](AE)mishap and without [e](AF)loss,
And without (AG)outcry in our streets!
15 How blessed are the people for whom this is so;
How (AH)blessed are the people for whom God is Yahweh!

Isaiah 27:1-6

Yahweh Will Deliver Israel

27 In that day (A)Yahweh will [a]punish [b](B)Leviathan the fleeing serpent,
With His fierce and great and [c]mighty sword,
Even [d]Leviathan the twisted serpent;
And (C)He will kill the dragon who lives in the sea.

In that day,
“A [e](D)vineyard of delight, sing of it!
I, Yahweh, am its keeper;
(E)I water it every moment.
Lest anyone [f]damage it,
I (F)keep it night and day.
I have no wrath.
Who would ever give Me (G)briars and thorns in the battle?
I would step on them, (H)I would burn them [g]completely.
Or let him [h](I)rely on My strong defense,
Let him make peace with Me,
Let him (J)make peace with Me.”
[i]In the days to come Jacob (K)will take root,
Israel will (L)blossom and bud,
And they will fill the [j]whole world with (M)produce.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21

17 Therefore if anyone is (A)in Christ, he is (B)a new creation; (C)the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 18 Now (D)all these things are from God, (E)who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the (F)ministry of reconciliation, 19 namely, that (G)God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, (H)not counting their transgressions against them, and [a]He has [b]committed to us the word of reconciliation.

20 So then, we are (I)ambassadors for Christ, (J)as God is pleading through us. We beg you on behalf of Christ, be (K)reconciled to God. 21 He made Him who (L)knew no sin to be (M)sin on our behalf, so that we might become the (N)righteousness of God in Him.
