^(B)But the wicked ones are silenced in darkness,
^(C)For not by power shall a man prevail.

⁵ Like ^[a]flying ^(A)birds so Yahweh of hosts will defend Jerusalem.
He will ^(B)defend and deliver it;
He will pass over and provide a way of escape.
