Version
Psalm 92

Praise for the Lord’s Goodness.

A Psalm, a Song for the Sabbath day.

92 It is (A)good to give thanks to the Lord
And to (B)sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
To (C)declare Your lovingkindness in the morning
And Your (D)faithfulness [a]by night,
[b]With the (E)ten-stringed lute and [c]with the (F)harp,
[d]With resounding music [e]upon the (G)lyre.
For You, O Lord, have made me glad by [f]what You (H)have done,
I will (I)sing for joy at the (J)works of Your hands.

How (K)great are Your works, O Lord!
Your [g](L)thoughts are very (M)deep.
A (N)senseless man has no knowledge,
Nor does a (O)stupid man understand this:
That when the wicked (P)sprouted up like grass
And all (Q)who did iniquity flourished,
It was only that they might be (R)destroyed forevermore.
But You, O Lord, are (S)on high forever.
For, behold, Your enemies, O Lord,
For, behold, (T)Your enemies will perish;
All who do iniquity will be (U)scattered.

10 But You have exalted my (V)horn like that of the wild ox;
I have [h]been (W)anointed with fresh oil.
11 And my eye has (X)looked exultantly upon [i]my foes,
My ears hear of the evildoers who rise up against me.
12 The (Y)righteous man will [j]flourish like the palm tree,
He will grow like a (Z)cedar in Lebanon.
13 (AA)Planted in the house of the Lord,
They will flourish (AB)in the courts of our God.
14 They will still [k](AC)yield fruit in old age;
They shall be [l]full of sap and very green,
15 To [m]declare that (AD)the Lord is upright;
He is my (AE)rock, and there is (AF)no unrighteousness in Him.

Leviticus 26:3-20

(A)If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments so as to carry them out, then (B)I shall give you rains in their season, so that the land will yield its produce and the trees of the field will bear their fruit. (C)Indeed, your threshing will last for you until grape gathering, and grape gathering will last until sowing time. You will thus eat your [a]food to the full and (D)live securely in your land. (E)I shall also grant peace in the land, so that (F)you may lie down with no one making you tremble. (G)I shall also eliminate harmful beasts from the land, and (H)no sword will pass through your land. But you will chase your enemies and they will fall before you by the sword; (I)five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall before you by the sword. So I will turn toward you and (J)make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will (K)confirm My covenant with you. 10 (L)You will eat the old supply and clear out the old because of the new. 11 (M)Moreover, I will make My [b]dwelling among you, and My soul will not [c]reject you. 12 (N)I will also walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people. 13 (O)I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt so that you would not be their slaves, and (P)I broke the bars of your yoke and made you walk erect.

Penalties of Disobedience

14 (Q)But if you do not obey Me and do not carry out all these commandments, 15 if, instead, you (R)reject My statutes, and if your soul abhors My ordinances so as not to carry out all My commandments, and so (S)break My covenant, 16 I, in turn, will do this to you: I will appoint over you a (T)sudden terror, consumption and fever that will waste away the eyes and cause the (U)soul to pine away; also, (V)you will sow your seed uselessly, for your enemies will eat it up. 17 I will set My face against you so that you will be struck down before your enemies; and (W)those who hate you will rule over you, and (X)you will flee when no one is pursuing you. 18 If also after these things you do not obey Me, then I will punish you (Y)seven times more for your sins. 19 I will also (Z)break down your pride of power; I will also make your sky like iron and your earth like bronze. 20 (AA)Your strength will be spent uselessly, for your land will not yield its produce and the trees of the land will not yield their fruit.

1 Thessalonians 4:1-8

Sanctification and Love

(A)Finally then, (B)brethren, we request and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us instruction as to how you ought to [a](C)walk and (D)please God (just as you actually do [b]walk), that you (E)excel still more. For you know what commandments we gave you [c]by the authority of the Lord Jesus. For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you (F)abstain from [d]sexual immorality; that (G)each of you know how to [e]possess his own [f](H)vessel in sanctification and (I)honor, not in [g](J)lustful passion, like the Gentiles who (K)do not know God; and that no man transgress and (L)defraud his brother (M)in the matter because (N)the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also (O)told you before and solemnly warned you. For (P)God has not called us for (Q)the purpose of impurity, but [h]in sanctification. So, he who rejects this is not rejecting man but the God who (R)gives His Holy Spirit to you.
