Version
Psalm 145:8-9

(A)The Lord is gracious, and [a]merciful, slow to anger, and of great mercy.

The Lord is good to all, and his mercies are over all his works.

Psalm 145:14-21

14 The Lord upholdeth all that [a]fall, and lifteth up all that are ready to fall.

15 The eyes of [b]all wait upon thee, and thou givest them their meat in due season.

16 Thou openest thine hand, and fillest all things living of thy good pleasure.

17 The Lord is [c]righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

18 The Lord is near unto all that call upon him, yea, to all that call upon him in [d]truth.

19 He will fulfill the [e]desire of them that fear him; he will also hear their cry, and will save them.

20 The Lord preserveth all them that love him; but he will destroy the wicked.

21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord, and all [f]flesh shall bless his holy Name forever and ever.

Proverbs 10:1-5

10 In this Chapter, and all that follow, unto the thirtieth, the wise man exhorteth by divers sentences, which he calleth Parables, to follow virtue, and flee vice: and also showeth what profit cometh of wisdom, and what hindrance proceedeth of foolishness.

THE PARABLE OF SOLOMON.

A wise (A)son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is an heaviness to his mother.

The treasures of [a]wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.

The Lord will [b]not famish the soul of the righteous: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.

A [c]slothful hand maketh poor: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

He that gathereth in summer, is the son of wisdom: but he that sleepeth in harvest, is the son of confusion.

Philippians 4:10-15

10 [a]Now I rejoice also in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care for me springeth afresh, wherein notwithstanding ye were careful, but ye lacked opportunity.

11 I speak not because of [b]want: for I have learned in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

12 And I can be [c]abased, and I can abound: everywhere in all things I am [d]instructed, both to be full, and to be hungry, and to abound, and to have want.

13 I am able to do all things through the help of Christ, which strengtheneth me.

14 Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate to mine affliction.

15 [e]And ye Philippians know also that in the [f]beginning of the Gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no Church communicated with me, concerning the matter of giving and receiving, but ye only.
