Revised Common Lectionary (Complementary)
8 (A)The Lord is gracious, and [a]merciful, slow to anger, and of great mercy.
9 The Lord is good to all, and his mercies are over all his works.
10 All thy works praise thee, O Lord, and thy Saints bless thee.
11 [b]They show the glory of thy kingdom, and speak of thy power,
12 To cause his [c]power to be known to the sons of men, and the glorious renown of his kingdom.
13 Thy (B)kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all ages.
14 The Lord upholdeth all that [d]fall, and lifteth up all that are ready to fall.
4 The vision of the golden candlestick, and the exposition thereof.
1 And the Angel that talked with me, came again and waked me, as a man that is raised out of his sleep,
2 And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold, a [a]candlestick all of gold with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps therein, and seven [b]pipes to the lamps which were upon the top thereof,
3 And two olive trees over it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.
4 So I answered and spake to the Angel that talked with me, saying, What are these my Lord?
5 Then the Angel that talked with me, answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my Lord.
6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto [c]Zerubbabel, saying, Neither by [d]an army nor strength, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.
7 Who art thou, O [e]great mountain, before Zerubbabel? thou shall be a plain, and [f]he shall bring forth the headstone thereof, with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
21 ¶ [a]That same hour rejoiced Jesus in the spirit, and said, I confess unto thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the [b]wise and understanding, and hast revealed them to babes: even so, Father, because it so pleased thee. [c]
22 [d]All things are given me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the son is, but the Father: neither who the Father is, save the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.
23 ¶ [e]And he turned to his disciples, and said secretly, (A)Blessed are the eyes, which see that ye see.
24 For I tell you that many Prophets and Kings have desired to see those things, which ye see, and have not seen them: and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
