Yahweh’s Portion of the Land

45 “And when you (A)divide by lot the land for inheritance, you shall offer a (B)contribution to Yahweh, a (C)holy portion of the land; the length shall be the length of [a]25,000 (D)cubits, and the width shall be [b]20,000. It shall be holy within all its boundary round about. Out of this there shall be for the holy place a square round about [c](E)five hundred by five hundred cubits, and [d]fifty cubits for its [e](F)open space round about. And from this [f]area you shall measure a length of 25,000 cubits and a width of [g]10,000 cubits; and in it shall be the sanctuary, the Holy of Holies. It shall be the holy portion of the land; it shall be for the (G)priests, the ministers of the sanctuary, who (H)come near to minister to Yahweh, and it shall be a place for their houses and a holy place for the sanctuary. And an area (I)25,000 cubits in length and 10,000 in width shall be for the Levites, the ministers of the house, and for their possession as [h]cities to dwell in.

“And you shall give the (J)city possession of an area [i]5,000 cubits wide and 25,000 cubits long, alongside the contribution of the holy portion; it shall be for the whole house of Israel.

The Prince’s Portion of the Land

“Now the (K)prince shall have land on either side of the holy contribution and the city’s possession of land, adjacent to the holy contribution and the city’s possession of land, on the west side toward the west and on the east side toward the east, and in length comparable to one of the portions, from the west border to the east border. This shall be his land for a possession in Israel; so My princes shall no longer (L)mistreat My people, but they shall give the rest of the land to the house of Israel (M)according to their tribes.”

‘Thus says Lord Yahweh, “(N)Enough, you princes of Israel; put away (O)violence and devastation, and (P)do justice and righteousness. Stop your (Q)eviction of My people,” declares Lord Yahweh.

10 “You shall have (R)just balances, a just [j](S)ephah, and a just [k](T)bath. 11 The ephah and the bath shall be [l]the same quantity so that the bath will contain a tenth of a [m](U)homer and the ephah a tenth of a homer; [n]their standard shall be according to the homer. 12 And the [o](V)shekel shall be twenty [p](W)gerahs; twenty shekels, twenty-five shekels, and fifteen shekels shall be your [q]maneh.

13 “This is the contribution that you shall offer: a sixth of an ephah from a homer of wheat, a sixth of an ephah from a homer of barley, 14 and the statute for the oil (namely, the [r]bath of oil), a tenth of a bath from each [s]kor (which is ten baths or a homer, for ten baths are a homer), 15 and one sheep from each flock of two hundred from the watering places of Israel—for a (X)grain offering, for a burnt offering, and for peace offerings, to (Y)make atonement for them,” declares Lord Yahweh. 16 (Z)All the people of the land shall [t]give to this contribution for the (AA)prince in Israel. 17 And it shall be the (AB)prince’s part to provide the (AC)burnt offerings, the grain offerings, and the drink offerings, at the (AD)feasts, on the (AE)new moons, and on the sabbaths, at all the appointed times of the house of Israel; he shall [u]provide the sin offering, the grain offering, the burnt offering, and the (AF)peace offerings, to make atonement for the house of Israel.”

18 ‘Thus says Lord Yahweh, “In the (AG)first month, on the first of the month, you shall take a bull from the herd (AH)without blemish and (AI)purify the sanctuary. 19 The priest shall take some of the blood from the sin offering and put it on the door posts of the house, on the (AJ)four corners of the (AK)ledge of the altar, and on the posts of the gate of the inner court. 20 And thus you shall do on the seventh day of the month for everyone who (AL)errs or is simpleminded; so you shall make (AM)atonement for the house.

21 “In the (AN)first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, you shall have the (AO)Passover, a feast of seven days; unleavened bread shall be eaten. 22 And on that day the prince shall provide for himself and all the people of the land a (AP)bull for a sin offering. 23 And during the (AQ)seven days of the feast he shall provide as a (AR)burnt offering to Yahweh (AS)seven bulls and seven rams without blemish on every day of the seven days, and a male goat daily for a sin offering. 24 And he shall provide as a (AT)grain offering an ephah [v]with a bull, an ephah [w]with a ram, and a [x]hin of oil [y]with an ephah. 25 In the (AU)seventh month, on the fifteenth day of the month, at the feast, he shall provide like this, seven days [z]for the sin offering, the burnt offering, the grain offering, and the oil.”

The Prince, Feast, and Offerings

46 ‘Thus says Lord Yahweh, “The (AV)gate of the (AW)inner court facing east shall be (AX)shut the six (AY)working days; but it shall be opened on the (AZ)sabbath day and opened on the day of the (BA)new moon. Then the (BB)prince shall enter by way of the porch of the gate from outside and stand by the (BC)post of the gate. Then the priests shall provide his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate and then go out; but the gate shall not be (BD)shut until the evening. And the (BE)people of the land shall also worship at the entrance of that gate before Yahweh on the sabbaths and on the (BF)new moons. Now the (BG)burnt offering which the prince shall bring near to Yahweh on the sabbath day shall be (BH)six lambs without blemish and a ram without blemish; and the (BI)grain offering shall be an ephah [aa]with the ram, and the grain offering with the lambs shall be (BJ)a gift from his hand, as well as a [ab]hin of oil with an ephah. And on the day of the (BK)new moon he shall offer a bull from the herd without blemish, also six lambs and a ram, which shall be without blemish. And he shall [ac]provide a (BL)grain offering, an ephah with the bull and an ephah with the ram, and with the lambs as [ad]much as he is (BM)able, and a hin of oil with an ephah. And when the (BN)prince enters, he shall go in by way of the porch of the gate and go out [ae]by the same way. But when the people of the land come (BO)before Yahweh at the appointed times, he who enters by way of the north gate to worship shall go out by way of the south gate. And he who enters by way of the south gate shall go out by way of the north gate. [af]No one shall return by way of the gate by which he entered but shall go straight out. 10 So when they go in, the prince shall go in (BP)among them; and when they go out, [ag]he shall go out.

11 “Now at the (BQ)feasts and the appointed times the (BR)grain offering shall be an [ah]ephah with a bull and an ephah with a ram, and with the lambs shall be a gift from his hand, as well as a hin of oil with an ephah. 12 And when the prince provides a (BS)freewill offering, a burnt offering, or peace offerings as a freewill offering to Yahweh, the gate facing east shall be (BT)opened for him. And he shall provide his burnt offering and his peace offerings as he does on the (BU)sabbath day. Then he shall go out, and the gate shall be shut after he goes out.

13 “And you shall provide a (BV)lamb a year old without blemish for a burnt offering to Yahweh daily; (BW)morning by morning you shall provide it. 14 Also you shall provide a grain offering with it morning by morning—a (BX)sixth of an ephah as well as a third of a hin of oil to moisten the fine flour—a grain offering to Yahweh continually by a perpetual statute. 15 Thus they shall provide the lamb, the grain offering, and the oil, morning by morning, for a (BY)continual burnt offering.”

16 ‘Thus says Lord Yahweh, “If the prince gives a (BZ)gift out of his inheritance to any of his sons, it shall belong to his sons; it is their possession by inheritance. 17 But if he gives a gift from his inheritance to one of his servants, it shall be his until the (CA)year of liberty; then it shall return to the prince. His inheritance shall be only his sons’; it shall belong to them. 18 Now the prince shall (CB)not take from the people’s inheritance, (CC)mistreating them out of their possession; he shall give his sons inheritance from his own possession so that My people will not be scattered, anyone from his possession.”’”

The Boiling Places

19 Then he brought me through the (CD)entrance, which was at the side of the gate, into the holy chambers for the priests, which faced north; and behold, there was a place at the extreme rear toward the west. 20 Then he said to me, “This is the place where the priests shall boil the (CE)guilt offering and the sin offering and where they shall (CF)bake the grain offering, in order that they may not bring them out into the outer court to transmit holiness to the people.”

21 Then he brought me out into the outer court and had me pass through to the four corners of the court; and behold, in every corner of the court there was a small court. 22 In the four corners of the court there were enclosed courts, [ai]forty cubits long and thirty wide; these four in the corners were [aj]the same size. 23 Now there was a row of masonry round about in them, around the four of them, and boiling places were made under the rows round about. 24 Then he said to me, “These are the boiling [ak]places where the ministers of the house shall boil the sacrifices of the people.”

1 John 2

Jesus Christ Our Advocate

(A)My little children, I am (B)writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, (C)we have an [a](D)Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and He Himself is (E)the [b]propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also (F)for those of the whole world.

(G)And by this we know that we have come to (H)know Him, if we (I)keep His commandments. The one who says, “(J)I have come to (K)know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a (L)liar, and (M)the truth is not in him; but whoever (N)keeps His word, truly in him the (O)love of God has been perfected. (P)By this we know that we are in Him: the one who says he (Q)abides in Him (R)ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.

(S)Beloved, I am (T)not writing a new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had (U)from the beginning; the old commandment is the word which you have heard. [c]On the other hand, I am writing (V)a new commandment to you, which is true in Him and in you, because (W)the darkness is passing away and (X)the true Light is already shining. The one who says he is in the Light and yet (Y)hates his (Z)brother is in the darkness until now. 10 (AA)The one who loves his brother abides in the Light and there is no cause for stumbling in him. 11 But the one who (AB)hates his brother is in the darkness and (AC)walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going because the darkness (AD)blinded his eyes.

12 I am writing to you, (AE)little children, because (AF)your sins have been forgiven you for His name’s sake. 13 I am writing to you, fathers, because you have known Him (AG)who has been from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because (AH)you have overcome (AI)the evil one. I have written to you, children, because [d](AJ)you have known the Father. 14 I have written to you, fathers, because you have known Him (AK)who has been from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are (AL)strong, and the (AM)word of God abides in you, and (AN)you have overcome the evil one.

Do Not Love the World

15 Do not love (AO)the world nor the things in the world. (AP)If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, (AQ)the lust of the flesh and (AR)the lust of the eyes and (AS)the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. 17 (AT)And the world is passing away, and also its lusts, but the one who (AU)does the will of God abides forever.

18 Children, (AV)it is the last hour; and just as you heard that (AW)antichrist is coming, (AX)even now many antichrists have appeared. From this we know that it is the last hour. 19 (AY)They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they were of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, (AZ)so that [e]it would be manifested that they all are not of us. 20 [f]But you have an (BA)anointing from (BB)the Holy One, and (BC)you all know. 21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but (BD)because you do know it, and [g]because no lie is (BE)of the truth. 22 Who is the liar but (BF)the one who denies that Jesus is the [h]Christ? This is (BG)the [i]antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. 23 (BH)Everyone who denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also. 24 As for you, let that which you heard (BI)from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also (BJ)will abide in the Son and in the Father. 25 (BK)And this is the promise which He Himself [j]made to us: eternal life.

26 These things I have written to you about those who are trying to (BL)deceive you. 27 And as for you, the (BM)anointing whom you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you. But as His anointing (BN)teaches you about all things, and is (BO)true and is not a lie, and just as He has taught you, [k]abide in Him.

28 And now, (BP)little children, abide in Him, so that when He (BQ)is manifested, we may have (BR)confidence and (BS)not [l]shrink away from Him in shame [m]at His (BT)coming. 29 If you know that (BU)He is righteous, you know that everyone also who does righteousness (BV)has been [n]born of Him.
