Book of Common Prayer
Yahweh Reigns Forevermore
93 (A)Yahweh [a]reigns, He is (B)clothed with majesty;
Yahweh has (C)clothed and girded Himself with strength;
Indeed, the (D)world is established, it will not be shaken.
2 Your (E)throne is established from of old;
You (F)are from everlasting.
3 The (G)rivers have lifted up, O Yahweh,
The rivers have lifted up their voice,
The rivers lift up their pounding waves.
4 More than the voices of many waters,
Than the mighty breakers of the sea,
Yahweh (H)on high is mighty.
5 Your (I)testimonies are very faithful;
(J)Holiness befits Your house,
O Yahweh, [b]forevermore.
Ascribe to Yahweh Glory and Strength
96 (A)Sing to Yahweh a (B)new song;
Sing to Yahweh, all the earth.
2 Sing to Yahweh, bless His name;
(C)Proclaim good news of His salvation from day to day.
3 Recount (D)His glory among the nations,
His wondrous deeds among all the peoples.
4 For (E)great is Yahweh and (F)greatly to be praised;
He is [a]more [b](G)fearsome (H)than all gods.
5 For (I)all the gods of the peoples are [c]idols,
But (J)Yahweh made the heavens.
6 (K)Splendor and majesty are before Him,
Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
7 [d]Ascribe to Yahweh, O (L)families of the peoples,
[e](M)Ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength.
8 Ascribe to Yahweh the (N)glory of His name;
Lift up [f]an (O)offering and come into His courts.
9 (P)Worship Yahweh in the splendor of holiness;
(Q)Tremble before Him, all the earth.
10 Say among the nations, “(R)Yahweh [g]reigns;
Indeed, the (S)world is established, it will not be shaken;
He will (T)render justice to the peoples with [h]equity.”
11 Let the (U)heavens be glad, and let the (V)earth rejoice;
Let (W)the sea [i]roar, as well as its fullness;
12 Let the (X)field exult, and all that is in it.
Then all the (Y)trees of the forest will sing for joy
13 Before Yahweh, (Z)for He is coming,
For He is coming to judge the earth.
(AA)He will judge the world in righteousness
And the peoples in His faithfulness.

50 Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, “(A)The matter comes from Yahweh; (B)so we cannot speak to you bad or good. 51 Behold, Rebekah is before you, take her and go, and let her be the wife of your master’s son, as Yahweh has spoken.”
52 Now it happened that when Abraham’s servant heard their words, he (C)bowed himself to the ground [a]before Yahweh. 53 The servant brought out (D)articles of silver and articles of gold, and garments, and gave them to Rebekah; he also gave precious things to her brother and to her mother. 54 Then he and the men who were with him ate and drank and spent the night. And then they arose in the morning, and he said, “(E)Send me away to my master.” 55 But her brother and her mother said, “(F)Let the young woman stay with us a few days, or even ten; afterward she will go.” 56 And he said to them, “Do not delay me, since (G)Yahweh has made my way successful. Send me away that I may go to my master.” 57 And they said, “We will call the young woman and ask about [b]her wishes.” 58 Then they called Rebekah and said to her, “Will you go with this man?” And she said, “I will go.” 59 Thus they sent away their sister Rebekah and (H)her nurse with Abraham’s servant and his men. 60 And they blessed Rebekah and said to her,
“May you, our sister,
(I)Become thousands of ten thousands,
And may (J)your seed possess
The gate of those who hate him.”
61 Then Rebekah arose with her young women, and they mounted the camels and went after the man. So the servant took Rebekah and went.
Rebekah Becomes Isaac’s Wife
62 Now Isaac had come from going to (K)Beer-lahai-roi, for he [c]was living in (L)the land of the [d]Negev. 63 And Isaac went out (M)to [e]muse in the field toward evening; and (N)he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, camels were coming. 64 And Rebekah lifted up her eyes and saw Isaac and dismounted from the camel. 65 Then she said to the servant, “Who is that man walking in the field to meet us?” And the servant said, “He is my master.” Then she took her [f]veil and covered herself. 66 And the servant recounted to Isaac all the things that he had done. 67 Then Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent, and (O)he took Rebekah, and she became his wife, and (P)he loved her. Thus, Isaac was comforted after (Q)his mother’s death.
Accurately Handle the Word of Truth
14 Remind them of these things, solemnly (A)charging them in the presence of God not to (B)dispute about words, which is useless and leads to the ruin of the hearers. 15 Be diligent to (C)present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling (D)the word of truth. 16 But (E)avoid (F)godless and empty chatter, for [a]it will lead to further ungodliness, 17 and their word will spread like [b]gangrene. Among them are (G)Hymenaeus and Philetus, 18 who have gone astray from the truth saying that (H)the resurrection has already taken place, and they upset (I)the faith of some. 19 Nevertheless, the (J)firm foundation of God stands, having this (K)seal, “(L)The [c]Lord knows those who are His,” and, “(M)Everyone who names the name of the [d]Lord is to (N)depart from wickedness.”
20 Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and of clay, and (O)some to honor and some to dishonor. 21 Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from (P)these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, having been (Q)prepared for every good work.
Jesus Blesses Little Children
13 (A)And they were bringing children to Him so that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked them. 14 But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, “Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; (B)for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 Truly I say to you, (C)whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.” 16 And He (D)took them in His arms and began blessing them, laying His hands on them.
The Rich Young Ruler
17 (E)And as He was setting out on a journey, a man ran up to Him and (F)knelt before Him, and began asking Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to (G)inherit eternal life?” 18 And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone. 19 You know the commandments, ‘(H)Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honor your father and mother.’” 20 And he said to Him, “Teacher, I have kept (I)all these things from my youth up.” 21 And looking at him, Jesus loved him and said to him, “One thing you lack: go and sell all you possess and give to the poor, and you will have (J)treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” 22 But at these words [a]he was saddened, and he went away grieving, for he was one who owned much property.
