^12 (A)Who is the man who delights in life
And loves many days that he may ^(B)see good?

¹³ Guard ^(C)your tongue from evil
And your lips from speaking ^(D)deceit.

^14 (E)Depart from evil and do good;
Seek peace and ^(F)pursue it.

¹⁵ The ^(G)eyes of Yahweh are toward the righteous
And His ears are open to their cry for help.

¹⁶ The ^(H)face of Yahweh is against evildoers,
To ^(I)cut off the memory of them from the earth.

“^(A)The one who desires life, to love and see good days,
Must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit.
^11 (B)He must turn away from evil and do good;
He must seek peace and pursue it.
^12 (C)For the eyes of the ^[a]Lord are toward the righteous,
And His ears attend to their prayer,
But the face of the ^[b]Lord is against those who do evil.”
