Psalm 63

My Soul Thirsts for You

A Psalm of David. [a]When he was in the wilderness of Judah.

63 O God, (A)You are my God; I shall seek You [b]earnestly;
My soul (B)thirsts for You, my flesh [c]yearns for You,
In a (C)dry and weary land without water.
Thus I have (D)beheld You in the sanctuary,
To see Your power and Your glory.
Because Your (E)lovingkindness is better than life,
My lips will laud You.
Thus I will bless You (F)as long as I live;
I will (G)lift up my hands in Your name.
My soul is (H)satisfied as with fatness and richness,
And my mouth offers (I)praises with lips of joyful songs.

When I remember You (J)on my bed,
I meditate on You in the (K)night watches,
For (L)You have been my help,
And in the (M)shadow of Your wings I sing for joy.
My soul (N)clings [d]to You;
Your (O)right hand upholds me.

But those who (P)seek my [e]life to destroy it,
Will go into the [f](Q)depths of the earth.
10 [g]They will be (R)delivered over to the power of the sword;
They will be a (S)portion for foxes.
11 But the (T)king will be glad in God;
Everyone who (U)swears by Him will boast,
For the (V)mouths of those who speak lies will be closed.

Psalm 98

Sing to Yahweh a New Song

A Psalm.

98 Sing to Yahweh a (A)new song,
For He has done (B)wondrous deeds,
His (C)right hand and His (D)holy arm have [a]worked out His salvation.
(E)Yahweh has made known His salvation;
He has (F)revealed His righteousness in the eyes of the nations.
He has (G)remembered His lovingkindness and His faithfulness to the house of Israel;
(H)All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

(I)Make a loud shout to Yahweh, all the earth;
(J)Break forth and sing for joy and sing praises.
Sing praises to Yahweh with the (K)lyre,
With the lyre and the (L)sound of singing.
With (M)trumpets and the sound of the horn
(N)Make a loud shout before (O)King Yahweh.

Let the (P)sea roar, as well as its fullness,
The (Q)world and those who dwell in it.
Let the (R)rivers clap their hands,
Let the (S)mountains sing together for joy
Before Yahweh, for He is coming to (T)judge the earth;
He will judge the world with righteousness
And (U)the peoples with [b]equity.

Psalm 103

Bless Yahweh, O My Soul

Of David.

103 (A)Bless Yahweh, O my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His (B)holy name.
Bless Yahweh, O my soul,
And (C)forget none of His benefits;
Who (D)pardons all your iniquities,
Who (E)heals all your diseases;
Who (F)redeems your life from the pit,
Who (G)crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;
Who (H)satisfies your [a]years with good things,
So that your youth is (I)renewed like the eagle.

Yahweh (J)performs righteous deeds
And judgments for all who are (K)oppressed.
He (L)made known His ways to Moses,
His (M)acts to the sons of Israel.
Yahweh is (N)compassionate and gracious,
(O)Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness.
He (P)will not always contend with us,
And He will not (Q)keep His anger forever.
10 He has (R)not dealt with us according to our sins,
And He has not rewarded us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high (S)as the heavens are above the earth,
So great is His lovingkindness toward those who [b]fear Him.
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He (T)removed our transgressions from us.
13 (U)As a father has compassion on his children,
So Yahweh has compassion on those who [c]fear Him.
14 For (V)He Himself knows [d]our form;
He (W)remembers that we are but (X)dust.

15 As for man, his days are (Y)like grass;
As a (Z)flower of the field, so he flowers.
16 When the (AA)wind has passed over it, it is no more,
And its (AB)place acknowledges it no longer.
17 But the (AC)lovingkindness of Yahweh is from everlasting to everlasting on those who [e]fear Him,
And His [f]righteousness (AD)to children’s children,
18 To (AE)those who keep His covenant
And remember His precepts to do them.

19 Yahweh has established His (AF)throne in the heavens,
And His (AG)kingdom rules over [g]all.
20 Bless Yahweh, you (AH)His angels,
(AI)Mighty in strength, who (AJ)perform His word,
(AK)Obeying the voice of His word!
21 Bless Yahweh, all you (AL)His hosts,
You (AM)who serve Him, doing His will.
22 Bless Yahweh, (AN)all you works of His,
In all places of His rule;
Bless Yahweh, O my soul!

Daniel 9:3-10

So I gave my face to the Lord God to seek Him by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes. And I prayed to Yahweh my God and confessed and said, “Alas, O Lord, the (A)great and awesome God, who (B)keeps His covenant and lovingkindness for those who love Him and keep His commandments, (C)we have sinned and committed iniquity and acted wickedly and (D)rebelled, even (E)turning aside from Your commandments and judgments. Moreover, we have not (F)listened to Your slaves the prophets, who spoke in Your name to our kings, our princes, our fathers, and all the people of the land.

(G)To You, O Lord, belongs righteousness, but to us [a](H)open shame, as it is this day—to the men of Judah, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and all Israel, those who are nearby and those who are far away in (I)all the countries to which You have banished them, because of their unfaithful deeds which they have committed against You. O Yahweh, to us belongs [b]open shame, to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, because we have sinned against You. To the Lord our God belong (J)compassion and forgiveness, [c]for we have (K)rebelled against Him; 10 nor have we listened to the voice of Yahweh our God, to walk in His [d]laws which He (L)put before us through His slaves the prophets.

Hebrews 2:10-18

10 For (A)it was fitting for Him, (B)for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to (C)perfect the [a](D)author of their salvation through sufferings. 11 For both He who (E)sanctifies and those who (F)are being sanctified are all (G)of One; for which reason He is not ashamed to call them (H)brothers, 12 saying,

(I)I will recount Your name to My brothers,
In the midst of the assembly I will sing Your praise.”

13 And again,

(J)I will put My trust in Him.”

And again,

(K)Behold, I and the children whom God has given Me.”

14 Therefore, since the children share in [b](L)flesh and blood, (M)He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that (N)through death He might render powerless (O)him who had the [c]power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and might free those who through (P)fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives. 16 For assuredly He does not [d]give help to angels, but He gives help to the seed of Abraham. 17 Therefore, He [e]had (Q)to be made like His brothers in all things, so that He might (R)become a merciful and faithful (S)high priest in (T)things pertaining to God, to (U)make propitiation for the sins of the people. 18 For since He Himself was (V)tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to help those who are tempted.

John 12:44-50

44 And Jesus cried out and said, (A)He who believes in Me, does not believe in Me but in Him who sent Me. 45 (B)And he who sees Me sees the One who sent Me. 46 (C)I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness. 47 And if anyone hears My words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for (D)I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 (E)He who rejects Me and does not receive My words, has one who judges him; (F)the word I spoke is what will judge him on (G)the last day. 49 (H)For I did not speak from Myself, but the Father Himself who sent Me (I)has given Me a commandment—what to say and what to speak. 50 And I know that (J)His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak (K)just as the Father has told Me.”
