3 Therefore, ^(A)holy brothers, partakers of a ^(B)heavenly calling, consider ^(C)the Apostle and ^(D)High Priest of our ^(E)confession—Jesus,

Jesus Our Great High Priest

¹⁴ Therefore, since we have a great ^(A)high priest who has ^(B)passed through the heavens, Jesus ^(C)the Son of God, let us take hold of our ^(D)confession. ¹⁵ For we do not have ^(E)a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been ^(F)tempted in all things like we are, yet ^(G)without sin. ¹⁶ Therefore let us ^(H)draw near with ^(I)confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

⁵ In this way also Christ ^(A)did not glorify Himself to become a ^(B)high priest, but He who ^(C)said to Him,

¹⁰ being designated by God as ^(A)a high priest according to ^(B)the order of Melchizedek.

^20 (A)where a forerunner has entered for us—Jesus, having become a ^(B)high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

²⁶ For it was fitting for us to have such a ^(A)high priest, ^(B)holy, ^(C)innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and ^(D)exalted above the heavens;

²⁸ For the Law appoints men as high priests ^(A)who are weak, but the word of the oath, which came after the Law, appoints ^(B)a Son, who has been ^(C)made perfect forever.

8 Now the main point in what is being said is this: we have such a ^(A)high priest, who sat down at ^(B)the right hand of the throne of the ^(C)Majesty in the heavens,

³ For every ^(A)high priest is appointed ^(B)to offer both gifts and sacrifices; so it is necessary that this high priest also have something to offer.
