Ezekiel 33:5
He heard the sound of the trumpet and took not warning: his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.

He heard the alarm, he ignored it—it’s his own fault. If he had listened, he would have saved his life.

(He heard the sound of the trumpet, and did not keep himself safe, or did not take heed, and so his blood shall be upon him; but if he keepeth himself safe, or taketh heed, he shall save his own life.)
