For we are unto God a sweet savor of Christ, in those who are saved and in those who perish:
For we are a sweet savor of Christ unto God, in them that are saved, and in them that perish;
For we are the sweet fragrance of Christ [which ascends] to God, [discernible both] among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing;
For we are the sweet fragrance of Christ [which exhales] unto God, [discernible alike] among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing:
For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
For to God we are the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.
We smell like the aroma of Christ’s offering to God, both to those who are being saved and to those who are on the road to destruction.
For to God we are the aroma of the Messiah, both among those being saved and among those being lost;
In fact, God thinks of us as a perfume that brings Christ to everyone. For people who are being saved, this perfume has a sweet smell and leads them to a better life. But for people who are lost, it has a bad smell and leads them to a horrible death. No one really has what it takes to do this work.
For we are a sweet odour of Christ to God, in the saved and in those that perish:
Because we are the fragrance of Christ for God among the ones being saved, and among the ones perishing—
For we are the good odour of Christ unto God, in them that are saved, and in them that perish.
Our offering to God is to be the perfume of Christ that goes out to those who are being saved and to those who are being lost.
When we tell people about Christ, we are like a lovely smell that rises up to God. We are like that among the people that God is saving. We are also like that among the people who are dying because they are far from God.
Yes, we are the fragrance of Christ for God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.
For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing,
For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing,
·Our offering to God is this: [or For God’s sake; or To God] We are the ·sweet smell [aroma; fragrance] of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are ·being lost [perishing; headed for destruction].
For we are unto God the sweet savor of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them which perish.
To God we are the aroma of Christ among those who are saved and among those who are dying.
For we are like a sweet-smelling incense offered by Christ to God, which spreads among those who are being saved and those who are being lost.
For to God we are the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.
Our offering to God is this: We are the sweet smell of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are being lost.
To God we are the aroma of the Messiah among those who are being saved and among those who are being lost.
Thanks be to God who leads us, wherever we are, on his own triumphant way and makes our knowledge of him spread throughout the world like a lovely perfume! We Christians have the unmistakeable “scent” of Christ, discernible alike to those who are being saved and to those who are heading for death. To the latter it seems like the very smell of doom, to the former it has the fresh fragrance of life itself. Who could think himself adequate for a responsibility like this? Only the man who refuses to join that large class which trafficks in the Word of God—the man who speaks, as we do, in the name of God, under the eyes of God, as Christ’s chosen minister.
For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in those that are saved and in those that perish;
For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing;
For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing,
As far as God is concerned there is a sweet, wholesome fragrance in our lives. It is the fragrance of Christ within us, an aroma to both the saved and the unsaved all around us.
When I arrived in Troas to proclaim the Message of the Messiah, I found the place wide open: God had opened the door; all I had to do was walk through it. But when I didn’t find Titus waiting for me with news of your condition, I couldn’t relax. Worried about you, I left and came on to Macedonia province looking for Titus and a reassuring word on you. And I got it, thank God! In the Messiah, in Christ, God leads us from place to place in one perpetual victory parade. Through us, he brings knowledge of Christ. Everywhere we go, people breathe in the exquisite fragrance. Because of Christ, we give off a sweet scent rising to God, which is recognized by those on the way of salvation—an aroma redolent with life. But those on the way to destruction treat us more like the stench from a rotting corpse. This is a terrific responsibility. Is anyone competent to take it on? No—but at least we don’t take God’s Word, water it down, and then take it to the streets to sell it cheap. We stand in Christ’s presence when we speak; God looks us in the face. We get what we say straight from God and say it as honestly as we can.
For we are to God a sweet fragrance of Christ among those who are saved and among those who perish.
For we are an aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved. · Among those who are perishing
To God we are the aroma of Christ among those who are saved and among those who are dying.
For we are the aroma of Christ for God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing,
For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing:
For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing;
We are indeed the aroma of Christ to God both among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing:
Our offering to God is this: We are the sweet smell of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are being lost.
For we are a sweet aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing—
God considers us to be the pleasing smell that Christ is spreading. He is spreading it among people who are being saved and people who are dying.
For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.
For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.
For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.
We are a sweet smell of Christ that reaches up to God. It reaches out to those who are being saved from the punishment of sin and to those who are still lost in sin.
Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing.
For we are for God the sweet savour of Christ, both among those who are saved and also among those who are perishing.
For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing;
For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing;
For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing;
For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing:
We are the Messiah’s fragrance before God, you see, to those who are being saved and to those who are being lost.
For we are the aroma of Moshiach to Hashem among the ones coming to Yeshu’at Eloheinu, and among the ones perishing:[1C 1:18; DANIEL 12:2]
For we are to God the sweet savor of Christ, in those who are saved, and in those who perish.
For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing,
For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing,
For we are the aroma of Messiah to God, among those who are being saved and those who are perishing—
In a turbulent world where people are either dying or being rescued, we are the sweet smell of the Anointed to God our Father.
For we are a sweet aroma of Christ to God, in those who are saved and in those who perish:
for we be the good odour of Christ to God, among these that be made safe, and among these that perish. [for we be the good odour, or savour, of Christ to God, in these that be made safe, and in these that perish.]
because of Christ a sweet fragrance we are to God, in those being saved, and in those being lost;
