Psalm 139:1-6

Where Can I Go from Your Spirit?

For the choir director. Of David. A Psalm.

139 O Yahweh, You have (A)searched me and known me.
You (B)know [a]when I sit down and [b]when I rise up;
You (C)understand my thought from afar.
You [c](D)scrutinize my [d]path and my lying down,
And are intimately acquainted with all my ways.
[e]Even before there is a word on my tongue,
Behold, O Yahweh, You (E)know it all.
You have (F)enclosed me behind and before,
And You have (G)put Your hand upon me.
Such (H)knowledge is (I)too wonderful for me;
It is too high, I cannot attain to it.

Psalm 139:13-18

13 For You (A)formed my [a]inward parts;
You (B)wove me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will give thanks to You, for [b]I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
(C)Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
15 My [c](D)frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And (E)intricately woven in the (F)depths of the earth;
16 Your (G)eyes have seen my unshaped substance;
And in (H)Your book all of them were written
The (I)days that were formed for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.

17 How precious are Your (J)thoughts to me, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they would (K)outnumber the sand.
When (L)I awake, I am still with You.

Jeremiah 16:14-17:4

They Shall Know My Name Is Yahweh

14 (A)Therefore behold, days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when it will no longer be said, ‘As Yahweh lives, who (B)brought up the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt,’ 15 but, ‘As Yahweh lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the (C)land of the north and from all the lands where He had banished them.’ For I will return them to their own land which I gave to their fathers.

16 “Behold, I am going to send for many (D)fishermen,” declares Yahweh, “and they will fish for them; and afterwards I will send for many hunters, and they will (E)hunt them (F)from every mountain and every hill and from the crevices of the rocks. 17 (G)For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, (H)nor is their iniquity concealed from My eyes. 18 I will first (I)doubly repay their iniquity and their sin because they have (J)profaned My land; they have filled My inheritance with the carcasses of their (K)detestable idols and with their abominations.”

19 O Yahweh, my (L)strength and my strong defense,
And my (M)refuge in the day of distress,
To You the (N)nations will come
From the ends of the earth and say,
“Our fathers have inherited nothing but (O)lies,
Futility and [a](P)things of no profit.”
20 Can man make gods for himself?
Yet they are (Q)not gods!

21 “Therefore behold, I am going to make them know—
This time I will (R)make them know
My [b]power and My might;
And they shall (S)know that My name is Yahweh.”

The Deceitful Heart

17 The (T)sin of Judah is written down with an (U)iron stylus;
With a diamond point it is (V)engraved upon the tablet of their heart
And on the horns of [c]their altars,
As they remember their (W)children,
So they remember their altars and their [d](X)Asherim
By (Y)green trees on the high hills.
O (Z)mountain of Mine in the countryside,
I will (AA)give over your wealth and all your treasures for plunder,
Your high places for sin throughout your borders.
And you will, even of yourself, (AB)let go of your inheritance
That I gave you;
And I will make you serve your (AC)enemies
In the (AD)land which you do not know,
For you have (AE)kindled a fire in My anger
Which will burn forever.

Colossians 4:7-17

(A)Tychicus, our (B)beloved brother and faithful servant and fellow slave in the Lord, will make known to you (C)all my affairs, (D)whom I have sent to you for this very purpose, that you may know about our circumstances and that he may (E)encourage your hearts; [a]and with him (F)Onesimus, our faithful and (G)beloved brother, (H)who is one of you. They will inform you about the whole situation here.

10 (I)Aristarchus, my (J)fellow prisoner, sends you his greetings; and also Mark, the cousin of (K)Barnabas (about whom you received [b]instructions; (L)if he comes to you, welcome him); 11 and also Jesus who is called Justus. These are the only (M)fellow workers for the kingdom of God (N)who are from the circumcision, and they have proved to be a comfort to me. 12 (O)Epaphras, (P)who is one of your number, a slave of Christ Jesus, sends you his greetings, always (Q)striving for you in his prayers, that you may stand [c](R)complete and (S)fully assured in all the will of God. 13 For I testify for him that he has [d]a deep concern for you and for those who are in (T)Laodicea and Hierapolis. 14 (U)Luke, the beloved physician, sends you his greetings, and also (V)Demas. 15 Greet the brothers who are in (W)Laodicea and also [e]Nympha and (X)the church that is in [f]her house. 16 (Y)And when [g]this letter is read among you, have it also read in the church of the Laodiceans; and you, for your part (Z)read [h]my letter that is coming from (AA)Laodicea. 17 And say to (AB)Archippus, “Take heed to the (AC)ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may [i]fulfill it.”
