⁴⁸ therefore you shall serve your enemies whom Yahweh will send against you, ^(A)in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in the lack of all things; and He ^(B)will put an iron yoke on your neck until He has destroyed you.

³ And it will be in the day when Yahweh gives you ^(A)rest from your pain and turmoil and harsh slavery in which you have been enslaved,

¹² I spoke words like all these to ^(A)Zedekiah king of Judah, saying, “Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serve him and his people, and live! ¹³ Why will you ^(B)die, you and your people, by the sword, famine, and pestilence, as Yahweh has spoken to that nation which will not serve the king of Babylon?
