In the Shadow of the Almighty
91 He who abides in the (A)shelter of the Most High
Will abide in the (B)shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say to Yahweh, “My (C)refuge and my (D)fortress,
My God, in whom I (E)trust!”
3 For it is He who delivers you from the (F)snare of the trapper
And from the destructive (G)pestilence.
4 He will (H)cover you with His pinions,
And (I)under His wings you will take refuge;
His (J)truth is a (K)large shield and bulwark.
14 “(A)Because he has loved Me, therefore I will protect him;
I will (B)set him securely on high, because he has (C)known My name.
15 He will (D)call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in his [a]distress;
I will rescue him and (E)honor him.
16 With [b]a (F)long life I will satisfy him
And (G)I will show him My salvation.”
23 “Am I a God who is (A)near,” declares Yahweh,
“And not a God far off?
24 Can a man (B)hide himself in hiding places
So I do not see him?” declares Yahweh.
“(C)Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares Yahweh.
25 “I have (D)heard what the prophets have said who (E)prophesy a lie in My name, saying, ‘I had a (F)dream, I had a dream!’ 26 How long? Is there anything in the hearts of the prophets who prophesy a lie, even these prophets of the (G)deception of their own heart, 27 who intend to (H)make My people forget My name by their dreams which they recount to one another, just as their fathers (I)forgot My name because of Baal? 28 The prophet who has a dream may recount his dream, but let him who has (J)My word speak My word in truth. (K)What does straw have in common with grain?” declares Yahweh. 29 “Is not My word like (L)fire?” declares Yahweh, “and like a (M)hammer which shatters a rock? 30 Therefore behold, (N)I am against the prophets,” declares Yahweh, “who steal My words from each other. 31 Behold, I am against the prophets,” declares Yahweh, “who take their tongues and declare, ‘Yahweh declares.’ 32 Behold, I am against those who have prophesied (O)lying dreams,” declares Yahweh, “and who recounted them and led My people astray by their lying and (P)reckless boasting; yet (Q)I did not send them, and I did not command them, and they do not (R)furnish this people the slightest benefit,” declares Yahweh.

2 And you [a]were (A)dead [b]in your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you (B)formerly walked according to the [c]course of (C)this world, according to (D)the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit that is now working in (E)the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom we all also (F)formerly conducted ourselves in (G)the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the [d]mind, and were (H)by nature (I)children of wrath, (J)even as the rest. 4 But God, being (K)rich in mercy because of (L)His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were (M)dead [e]in our transgressions, made us alive together [f]with Christ—(N)by grace you have been saved— 6 and (O)raised us up with Him, and (P)seated us with Him in (Q)the heavenly places in (R)Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing (S)riches of His grace in (T)kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For (U)by grace you have been saved (V)through faith, and [g]this not of yourselves, it is (W)the gift of God; 9 (X)not of works, so that (Y)no one may boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, (Z)created in (AA)Christ Jesus for (AB)good works, which God (AC)prepared beforehand so that we would (AD)walk in them.
